The Playboy Pleasure Twist of Fate Glass Vibrator is a slim, textured vibrator made of glass. The glass is lightly textured with a spiral pattern. It offers 3 vibration intensities and 7 vibration patterns. It can be inserted with or without vibration, chilled or warmed, or used to stimulate any other sensitive areas.
I have mixed feelings about this toy. I used this and definitely had enjoyable experiences. After each use, however, I found myself comparing it to other products I own and feeling it fell short in comparison. When using all features in combination (inserted, with vibration on, and stimulation from the textured glass) and an additional clitoral vibrator, I found this to be an enjoyable experience. However, I found none of these features to be quite stimulating enough for me on its own.
Vibrations
When considering this toy simply as a vibrator, I found it to be lacking. The vibration from this toy is buzzy and not very powerful. For those reasons, I found it inadequate for clitoral stimulation. I tried unsuccessfully a few times to finish with that alone and couldn’t. I do tend to prefer more intense clitoral stimulation and this did not offer that. I did however find ways to enjoy the vibration. I enjoyed using this for insertion while receiving oral sex from my partner, though prefer other more powerful vibrating toys for this purpose.Glass and Texture
This was another area that I felt this toy to be under-stimulating. The body of this toy is very slim. While this and the tapered tip make for easy insertion, I found I lost sensation of the glass and texture when it was inserted. Again, I tend to prefer more intense vaginal stimulation, so this could be a personal issue rather than an issue with the product itself. There are so many other glass toys with better more stimulating texture I lean towards. My favorite use for this was putting it in ice to cool it and using it for nipple stimulation. When it comes to nipple stimulation, I would consider myself highly sensitive and prefer something less intense, meaning this toy worked well for that. The cold sensation paired with the vibrations was very satisfying.
I always feel glass toys look elegant, this one included with its swirling design. The glass feels high quality and showed no signs of wear with repeated use. That being said, I found the yellow color to be a strange choice. The yellow hue makes it look more like aged resin than glass — any other color would have been better! The base is about 1/4 inch, and made of silver plastic. I have found in the past that painted silver plastic tends to chip with time.
This toy is fairly straightforward to use. The tapered tip made for easy insertion, but the button on the base takes a little bit of force to turn on. Changing between settings is simple, with a click of the power button. My complaint regarding ease of use is all related to the base. It's small and the same width as the base. When this toy gets wet, it becomes very slippery and slightly difficult to hold on to. At times, the button on the base resulted in accidental changes of settings.
The glass of the vibrator feels high quality and held up to use. It worked consistently with no major bugs. It felt sturdy despite the vibrating glass. Some less quality features included louder and buzzier vibrations.
For what you get, I think this toy is worth the money. You get both a glass toy and vibrator in one. While I think you could find similar glass toys or vibrators separately on the market for similar price, I have never seen the combination before.
This vibrator is best used in combination with another toy, or a partner. As a stand-alone toy, it was inadequate for me to achieve an orgasm. Its weak, buzzy vibrations left something to be desired. It was not a silent toy, but, likely could not be heard through a closed door. The battery life was enough for 2-3 uses before needing a quick recharge.
The toy was packaged in a thick glossy magnetized box which felt very high quality. The box is not discreet with a large image of the toy on the outside. It came with a small folded instruction booklet that felt cheap and I did not find myself looking to for help with use. It came with a charger and nothing else — no storage bag included.
The glass is body safe and non-porous. Because of the glass, this toy has a nice weight to it. It is waterproof and can be cleaned with toy cleaner or soap and water. It's also compatible with all kinds of lubricant, since it's made of glass. It did not come with a storage bag, unfortunately.

Overall, I found this toy to be lacking. I was really excited for this as I had never heard of a vibrating glass toy before. I didn't find it to outweigh any other vibrator or glass toy I've tried before. The combination of these 2 features actually detracted from the things I enjoy most about glass toys and vibrators separately. The design was not easy to use for internal stimulation. With a little creativity though, I've found some interesting ways to use it that make it worth keeping in my collection.
