ID Glide is a water-based sexual lubricant that is used during sex or with a sex toy to add lubrication, heightening the experience. This lube is great for sex or personal masturbation with a sex toy, as it is compatible with any sex toy material or condom type. The packaging is clear and easy to read, as well as looking professional and sleek. It comes in a large plastic bottle that is made of thin plastic that is easy to squeeze. Its' clip-close lid allows for the lube to be accurately aimed onto the skin as well as being great for travelling. It has a slightly acidic pH of 6, meaning that it is good for vulva owners, as an attempt to match pH levels. It is FDA approved and washes off the skin and out of clothing sheets easily.

I have expressed that I am a fan of the ID lube bottles, and this is no exception. The large blue bottle is fun and reminds me of a swimming pool, which immediately relates to the fact it is a water-based lube. I like the clear, clean design of the simple wording - It is very easy to read and know what it is straight away, without being busy or overwhelming. The only random thing is that the writing is in both English and French, which I think is a little confusing and unnecessary. The ID branding is very simple, with the small logo on the front and top of the lid - I really love the 3D design on top of the lid, as it makes the product look higher quality, therefor validating its' higher price tag. Overall, it's an attractive bottle that doesn't necessarily look like lube, but more like a bottle of soap for the shower. It is very gender neutral and I would say that it appeals to a lot - Another ID bottle that I love.

I always find that water-based lube are easier to wash off the skin, compared to silicone lubes and this lube is the same. Using hot soapy water, it came of the skin very easily and I didn't notice ti staying on the skin after I had washed it off. I hate when lube leaves a greasy feeling on the skin after washing, so this is great for me. ID Glide is compatible with any type of sex toy material, which I loved as my preferred sex toy material is silicone. It also works with any condom material, which is also great as sometimes condoms dry out, so being able to use lube with condoms is a bonus! This lube didn't become tacky or sticky on the skin, but sometimes it did need more lube to stay lubricated. As it is mainly made of water, when using it for a long time, it just needed a top up. It didn't need it much or often, so this time it wasn't a massive issue.

I always appreciate a product that has been through chemical testing, if it is going to be reacting with my body, as I like to know if it is safe or not. This lube has been FDA approved, meaning that the ingredients are safe for body interaction. It also means that this lube would be good for oral sex too. The pH reading of ID Glide is 6, meaning that it is slightly acidic, which is great for both vulva and penis owners. Yet, I would recommend this lube to people that have vulva's that aren't susceptible to infections, as this lube contains Glycerin; a sugar that sometimes promotes bacterial growth. Here is a list of the ingredients in this lube: Aqua, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Cellulose Gum, EDTA, Carbomer, Methylparaben, Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate.

This lube is quite expensive for what it is. Sure, it is a high quality lube that works with all sex toys and condoms, from a recognisable brand. I would say you're paying for a high quality product that feels premium on the skin. Yet, it doesn't have any special bells and whistles - It is simply a water-based sexual lubricant. It does come in a very large bottle, which I saw as better value for money, but if you're not looking to spend much, then I would suggest getting a smaller volume of lube. I think the price tag would be more understandable if the lube had tingling or warming features, or even was thick enough for large anal toys.

The viscosity of this lube was a perfect consistency in my opinion - It didn't feel too thin and watery; not creating a seal or layer on the skin and wearing too thin after a couple of minutes of use. Yet, it also didn't feel too thick that is created a paste and then felt unnatural. It was just perfect! I would highly recommend pairing this lube with any type of sex toy, including fleshlights, as it feels thin enough to feel natural and intimate. It lasted a decent length of time too, only having to re-apply when it started to spread to areas of the body I didn't want it to be. For anal sex, it is not the thickest lube, but it is good for those who want anal to feel intimate. I would recommend using it for anal, if you're more experienced.

ID lubes come in some of my favourite bottles on the market because they have a sleek design, that works really well. This bottle is made from plastic, but it thin enough to be able to squeeze the lube out easily. The lid is a click-close design, that has is easy to open and close. I think these lids are so much better than screw lids, as I can easily open and close them, even when I have lube on my hands. Nothing worse than needing lube but not being able to get it out of the bottle! The lid also screws off, to get out every last millilitre of lube, so you really are getting your money's worth! All the ID lubes that I have used have easy to use packaging, that is a sleek design made for easy access. My only con: The bottle is a little big if I want to travel with it, and I would have to dispense the lube into a smaller bottle. Otherwise, it's such a great design.

ID Glide is a translucent lube that doesn't stain the skin. it can easily be washed off the skin using hot water and soap. When washing off sex toys, it also doesn't stain or damage them, as this lube is compatible with any sex toy material. Lastly, I had no problem washing it out of clothes or bed sheets, as it left no stains or discolouration. Passed with flying colours!

  • It is thick enough for anal
  • Easy-to-use bottle

  • Contains Glycerin
  • It isn't a travel sized bottle

I'm ID Glide's number 1 fan! I loved it! This lube has the perfect texture and consistency for me - It is thick, but not too thick that it feels unnatural, but that it is smooth and soft on the skin. It covers a sex toy nicely, whilst remaining lubricated for a long period of time. I hate sticky lube, that's why I love this one... it doesn't become sticky or tacky at all, but remains wet and slippery, even when used with a partner! I know the bottle is large and at first I was a little intimated, but at least you're getting product for your buck! A seriously great lube that does exactly what you want it to do. No silly add ons, no selling you dreams - Just a water-based sexual lubricant. A product I'll always be stocked up on!
