Lovehoney Magic 8 Stretchy Cock and Ball Ring Review
- Are a beginner to cock rings for interactive play
- Are an intermediate to cock rings and looking to explore ball pressure
- Are on the extreme size range (small or large) this item may not fit properly
The Magic 8 from Lovehoney is a well-made silicone cock and ball dual ring meant to enhance your erections and give you a nice bit of pressure on your nethers. Both rings are the same size and shape, so it doesn't matter which one goes where. The rings are definitely thicker than the average cock ring but stretch quite well which feels VERY nice once on and erect. The (obvious) primary use of this would be to have 1 ring around the base of your penis and the other ring around the base of your balls, but I found a lot of enjoyment using just 1 ring around my penis and using the other ring as a "handle" during interactive play with my partner. Once in place it is not going anywhere, using a single or both rings.
Proper Preparation
This was my first experience with any cock ring, and starting with a dual ring is slightly daunting, but it was well worth it! Before trying this bad boy out I did the standard research on cock rings in general which included warnings of what too tight feels like, the proper application of water based lubricant, and hair maintenance to avoid painful situations. With that out of the way I first used just one ring on my penis. One thing to note: I am pretty average when it comes to size and that worked well for this toy, a larger size might still be fine due to how much it stretches but this is not a “one size fits all” item so if you are on either extreme of the size spectrum this might not be the ring for you.Putting it to the Test
Once I had the single ring in place at the bottom of my shaft I can definitely say I felt the standard benefits one expects from a cock ring: increased size and stamina. Since I was just using one of the rings the other was kind of sticking straight up, which my partner enjoyed using as a handle to maneuver and position me with, this was an added bonus as it made for a more fun and interactive time. Also, as expected, the orgasm felt stronger and lasted longer than usual. To test if this was partially because of the added fun and experience with my partner I did use it during a couple self-pleasure sessions and can absolutely say the benefits to size, stamina, and orgasm are clear. Now to the other side (literally): the ball ring. I can safely say I do not enjoy ball pleasure as much as I very much loved the ring around just my penis. Once lubed up it is a little hard to get a proper grip on the rings and position them over the balls gently, but I can’t entirely fault the rings for this: lube is necessary and the pressure is the point, however if you have sensitive balls, as I apparently do, this definitely presents a problem. Again I cannot fault the rings for this, it was a learning experience for me as to what I like and what I don’t like. The rings are well designed and well made. It's simple and straightforward and looks great. The feel of the silicone is smooth and softer than I expected. The rings are rounded which did make it "roll up" a couple times while removing it but it did neither me or the rings any harm. If you're worried at all about that happening just add more lube or wait a bit longer after use to deflate, so to speak. The only negative I can offer on design would be having smaller and larger versions.
Using a single ring is as simple as can be. Lube, then stretch the ring and pull it down to where you want it. Getting the second ring into position requires a bit more time and work to find the best way to get it into place. The lube did cause a slip a time or two while getting the second ring into place which is definitely no fun, but once I trusted the ring to stretch wide enough to get it into place that stopped being a concern.
The quality of the rings is clear: the body-safe silicone looks and feels great. They are smoother and squishier than I expected and the material feels so nice I almost want to use it as a fidget toy, no cap. People still say "no cap", right?
For an item of this quality and with a couple different options for use this is a great price. For just a single ring I wouldn't be upset with this price, but given the options you have with how to use it I cannot complain.
The Magic 8 feels good and performs exactly as expected. Once you figure out how to get it in place in a way that works for you (again, losing grip on a ring while pulling it over your balls is not fun) it will provide exactly the experience you would expect.
The design on the front is simple and immediately draws your eyes to the unique and great look of the item. The back has a description and directions for use that are clear and easy to follow.
Have I mentioned how nice it feels? The silicone is soft and pleasant and I really was not joking when I said this could be used as a fidget toy. The instructions do recommend using sex toy cleaner which is definitely best practice, but I've yet to have an issue with soap and water and the Magic 8 cleans quickly and easily.

The Magic 8 from Lovehoney is a great cock and ball ring for dual sensations if you like ball pressure, OR if you don't it is still a great experience using a single ring and using the other as a "handle" for some interactive play. The rings are chonky but stretchy and the silicone is super soft and feels oh so nice! It cleans easily and just plain looks cool. Honestly there aren't any downsides to this item. If you're looking for a beginner "dual" ring you would be hard-pressed to go wrong with the Magic 8. It also has a cool name, what's not to love?
