The Lovehoney Mon Ami Dual Massager boasts two motors, so you can bring bliss to your g-spot and clitoris simultaneously, without juggling multiple toys. This baddie is made of super soft silicone and offers 7 patterns and 5 levels of intensity. You can play under the covers or underwater, as its completely waterproof. And did I mention that this rabbit vibrator doesn’t place any expectations on you? Oh no, this vibe’s clitoral head moves easily to conform to your body. Plus, Mon Ami is rechargeable and has travel lock, ensuring that the only time it turns on is when you do.
While I’m definitely not a newcomer to sex toys, the Mon Ami is my first dual-stimulating rabbit vibrat. Sliding it out of the box, I was immediately impressed by how sleek and smooth it felt, much softer than any other vibrator I own. Certainly, the prettiest one, too. Once charged, I happily jumped into bed with my favorite water-based lube and my new friend.
Troubled Beginnings
Warmed up, ready and excited to explore, I held that supple power button down and turned Mon Ami on. Fast forward twenty minutes into the future and I sat straddling a pillow, glaring at the vibrator, very much irritated. The g-spot shaft was flexible enough that I could move it and myself around without worry. Awesome! The clitoral shaft touched perfectly for indirect and direct stimulation, which made me super happy, as I need both. Double awesome! I have dildos thicker than the g-spot shaft on the Mon Ami, so I wasn’t concerned about size at any point. The lowest vibration started me out with tantalizing foreplay, rumbly and deep and soft in all the right ways. As I edged into the higher settings and found them delightfully powerful and just as rumbly, I grew gleeful. With that being said, what, exactly, was my problem? On the Edge
I enjoy getting close to orgasm and backing away, edging my way into an intense finale. That is, when it’s on purpose. I do not, however, enjoy feeling the slow build of incoming pleasure, only for the toy to slip and the satisfaction to fade. Which happened time and time again with the Mon Ami. I quickly discovered that I had to hold almost entirely still, no thrusting, or the clitoral shaft would slip out of place. The Mon Ami felt great, the vibrations were perfect, but… I enjoy the sensation of internal fullness and, you guessed it, thrusting.Happy Endings
I tried again. And again. And eventually figured out how to get Mon Ami to work for me. It took some doing and a variety of positions but by the time I reached perfection, I’d traded agitation for excitement. Is this my new favorite toy? No. It is in my top three, though, and I’m excited to keep using it to play around with positions and, ironically, edge play. So be warned, if you’ve never used a rabbit, there’s a learning curve. But boy is it worth it. I mean, honestly, I can’t complain about spending an hour to figure out how to find my orgasm at the end of the Mon Ami double rainbow.I love the way this vibrator feels in my hands. The silicone really is silky soft and there’s something aesthetically pleasing about the curved toy, with its slender shafts and bulbous heads. I ended up choosing this rabbit because the g-spot shaft is five inches deep, an inch more than the others I was considering. I wanted something that feels good against my skin, goes deeper than four inches, has a wide g-spot head, and looks appealing. And much to my delight, that’s exactly what I received. I do have to say that I don't love that the only color option is pink.
As far as buttons go? Easy. You’ve got the basics. Power, up, and down. Use the power button to cycle through the 7 patterns and the plus and minus buttons to control the strength of the vibrations. They were easy to find and equally easy to use when things got slippery. I never personally use travel lock but it worked easy enough. And as I said before, when it comes to actually enjoying this vibe, there is a definite learning curve if you’ve never used a rabbit. You have to play around to find exactly how to reach your g-spot and clitoris at the same time. If you enjoy a lot of thrusting while simultaneously having constant and precise clitoral stimulation, this toy probably isn’t going to do it for you. It will ultimately depend on if the flexibility offered matches your body. I think that’s the best part about the bendy clitoral shaft. It gives you a lot of wiggle room.
I’ve held some cheap toys over the years. I’ve even accidentally used a few good quality vibrators and snapped the motors clean in half. The Mon Ami, however, aims to please, and does it well. With truly soft silicone and a flexible g-spot shaft, I’m not afraid of breaking it. Now, the shaft is mostly fixed. You can’t go bending it about like its putty. But it does have enough give for movement, allowing you to find just the right angle. And the clitoral shaft has a lot of flexibility, making it super easy to adjust to your body. I’m also pretty pleased with the charging port. I’ve broken a few toys simply trying to charge them because the port got jostled or jammed. The Mon Ami’s charging port is solid and sturdy and doesn’t allow any water leakage when cleaning.
Most rabbit vibrators carry a $40 to $250 price tag. Unless you count the battery operated, hard plastic, basic models, in which case that bumps it down to a $20 starting price. (Personally, I don’t count those, but I’m fussy.) The Mon Ami comes at a reasonable $54.99, an absolute steal for the quality of the material, vibrations, and durability. I suppose this does begin to even out when you consider that there are no extra bells and whistles, like app compatibility, separate motor control, lube, or a storage pouch.
I like my vibrators to pack a punch and this darling doesn’t disappoint. The higher settings send me soaring into my happy place. For those who don’t like powerful vibrations, you’ll be happy to know how soft the lowest settings are, without losing the deep, rumbly sensations. Vibration patterns aren’t typically my thing, but I always cycle through them, out of sheer curiosity. And surprise, surprise, out of the seven possibilities, I ended up really enjoying one. This vibe is definitely quiet enough not to disturb people in the next room, unless you have shockingly thin walls. (It’s nowhere near as loud as a battery-operated vibrator or a body massager, for example, but it’s not as silent as some high-end vibes on the market.) Quiet is always a plus in my book. I don’t like loud, distracting buzzing. The battery charges at a normal pace but lasts surprisingly long.
It comes in a simple and straightforward package, depicting your new toy in soft hues on the front. Pull the box out of the side and you discover the creators of the Mon Ami had a major hard-on for keeping this rabbit safe. It’s protected by a clear plastic cover, a cardboard cover, and finally, tucked nicely inside a snug, thick foam. The charging cable sits inside its own mini box at the base and two instruction guides rest neatly behind a last cardboard compartment. The massive paper guides give you tips and ideas for use as well as clear cut instructions on care and how the buttons and charging work. I shall resist the urge to wax on dramatically about the lack of a storage pouch.
The Mon Ami is made of body safe silicone and is completely waterproof, meaning you can soak this sucker entirely without any worries. There aren’t any crevices or nooks to fuss with, which is always a plus for an easy clean. Simply use your favorite toy cleaner or mild soap and warm water. Double check that it’s dry before storing it in a box or an appropriate pouch. Think cotton, polyester, or microfiber. Trust me, you don’t want a dirty rabbit. Well, not dirty in the bacteria sense. Unfortunately, as I’ve already dismayed over, it doesn’t come with a storage pouch so you have to buy your own or store it in the box.

The Mon Ami won me over. Smooth and gorgeous, I love how thick the g-spot head is, and how great it feels both externally and internally. It probably won’t fit everyone’s body but the length and clitoral flexibility gives it a better chance. The sturdiness and simplicity make it ideal for beginners and the variations in vibration strength means it’s a great choice for both those who love soft and powerful vibrations. I’m excited to continue experimenting with g-spot stimulation with such an adaptable toy. (Even though I didn’t get the elusive storage pouch.)
