The Master Series Lace Seduction Bondage Hood is an elegant piece of BDSM head wear. The black lace has a floral pattern and a hole in the front for your mouth, chin, and nose. It's supposed to fit snugly over the head and neck, slightly obstructing the vision of the wearer and creating a nice visual for their partner.
Not a Great Start
When I first opened the packaging for the Master Series Lace Seduction Bondage Hood, I realized the lace itself has been stamped into the plastic seal. In order to remove it, I had to pull on it quite forcefully, which ultimately caused the lace to tear. This was obviously some kind of manufacturing error but it still ruined the material itself. This wasn’t a great start to my experience of the overall quality of this product.Only Reserved for Petite Kinksters?
In terms of fit, my experience was almost laughable. I really loved that look and feel of the lace at first and thought it would be easy to put on my head. Although, I was quickly humbled. Even though the lace is slightly stretchy, the seam by the neck definitely isn’t. Even trying to get it over the top of my head was ridiculous. I did eventually succeed but the fit was uncomfortably tight and put way too much pressure on my eyes. I do have quite a big head, so I was eager to see if it fit someone else. I tried on both my partner and some friends and each attempt ended in roaring laughter. Apparently, only those with petite heads will find this bondage hood comfortable.Elegant Look, Subpar Quality
As I mentioned before, the black lace looks super sexy and elegant to me. I’ve never used a proper bondage hood before and I was hoping that this little piece would be a nice way to dip my toes into this type of BDSM. Unfortunately, the lace isn’t the best quality. It felt like it would easily break when trying to put it on the hood or take it off. Besides not fitting my head, I can’t imagine the material would feel comfortable on the skin for a longer period of time.
Even though the floral pattern seems a little too sparse, in my opinion, I still love the look of the black lace. However, the hole in the front seems way to small to comfortably fit one's mouth, chin and nose. The seams are also a bit messy and very visible in the lace (perhaps because the pattern is quite sparse) and it makes the overall look a tad less elegant. Last but certainly not least, the "one size fits most" approach does not win any points from me.
A bondage hood as simple as this one really shouldn't be that difficult to use or put on. Even if the hood does fit your head, the seam at the neck is so rigid, I could imagine it would still be quite a challenge to put on.
I don't think this is a good quality product. From the manufacturing flaw to the lack of stretch in the polyester material, and the messy seams, I'm not convinced that this is a quality item.
Compared to a lot of other bondage gear, this hood is extremely affordable. However, for something that isn't of decent quality and may not last very long, I still think $24 is a bit much to pay.
The Master Series Lace Seduction Bondage Hood sadly did not live up to my expectations. I was excited to try out something like this and I liked the idea of the design. But the quality and "one size fits most" design was a flop for me.
The box itself was quite nice. The visuals gave a great idea of how the hood was supposed to be worn and there are actually measurements for the hood on the box. Measurements that were nowhere to be found in the shop descriptions online. I've included those measurements in the features table in this review. The hood itself came in a plastic bag which had caught some of the material in the seal, ultimately damaging the lace as I pulled it out of the bag.
The Master Series Lace Seduction Bondage Hood is made of 100% polyester. It's super lightweight and machine washable. Because of the damage to my hood from the packaging and the seemingly messy seams, I hesitated to throw it in the washing machine in fear that it not actually be able to withstand that. I recommend handwashing it to avoid any damage.

I was a bit disappointed by this product. After the packaging flaw caused a small tear in the material, I have to admit I already felt let down by the overall quality. Then I found out that the hood itself was way too small for most heads (yes, I had my partner and several friends try it out to make sure it wasn't just my big head that was the problem). The material was moderately stretchy, but the seams at the opening were definitely not! All in all, I wasn't impressed even though I loved the look of the black lace. If you love a really tight bondage hood and have a petite head, it may work better for you. For me, it was a flop.
