System JO H2O Water-Based Anal Lubricant Review

All the System JO lubes look and feel the same, from the packaging design and quality. I really love how consistent the marketing and design is of the bottles, it almost makes having the collection more glamorous! I like the way all the jO bottles look similar, with different colours and patterns symbolising what type of lube they are. For example, the water-based lube is blue. As I say this, not sure I am a fan of this anal lube having an orange/brown almost colour! Makes me slightly uncomfortable.

As this lube is water-based, it means it is compatible with all sex toy materials, including silicone, glass and metal. It is also compatible with all condom types - As this lube is an anal lube, it has a more neutral pH balance, than a vulva aimed lube for example. For a vulva aimed lube, I would prefer to see a more acidic lube, as it is more likely to match the natural pH of a vulva, therefore reducing the risk of throwing the pH off balance. Despite also being a thicker lube, it is still very easy to wash off the skin - just use some natural soap and warm water.

Some lubes contain glycerin; a sugar that can often promote bacterial growth. For an anal lubricant, it wouldn;'t matter as much if the lube contain glycerin. Thankfully though, this one doesn't. The ingredients found in this lube are: Purified Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose, Methyl Paraben and Propyl Paraben.

I have noticed that all the System JO lubes seem to have a very reasonable price tag. Well, the ones that are simple and have one role - like the water-based, anal or even silicone. When looking for a flavoured lube, thats when it starts to get a little more expensive. But with regards to this lube, it is a good price. Even though the bottle is smaller than the average JO bottle, it is still a good price.

A slippery, thick lube that feels slimy on the skin, the System JO Anal lube is a product I fell in love with instantly. I am not a lover of thicker lubes, just because they feel more synthetic and less natural to me. But this made me change my opinion slightly. As it is so smooth and runny on the skin, it felt luxurious and nourishing when rubbed in. When rubbed and friction was occurring, the lube seemed to last as long as I did! This is a great sign for an anal lube, as it is an area of the body that isn't self lubricating. If the lube was to dry up quickly, it wouldn't be great as an anal lube!

Like all of the other System JO lubes, the packaging design is some of my favourite on the market. I am a sucker for a see-through bottle, as I don't like lube that is coloured, so it is great that I can see it through the bottle. The branding is also very clear and easy to read, and even if I placed all my JO bottles next to each-other, I would be able to see which is which, clearly. As you may also know by now, I am pretty anal when it comes to lids too. I hate a screw top lid, like the Pjur bottles, as it is difficult to screw off when I have lube on my hands! Thankfully, this is a click-close lid, so you can easily aim the lube onto the skin.

This lube does not stain the skin or bedsheets, and can easily be washed out of both with a natural soap and warm water.
