System JO Hybrid Lube Review

System JO lubes are some of my favourite on the market, and this hybrid lube is no exception. I love the bottle design - the tall, transparent bottle where you can see the lube inside is aesthetically pleasing to me. I also like the blue colouring to show that it is partly a water-based lube. It looks super sleek and high quality, which I think is important and adds to the product itself! For a high priced lube, I want every part of the product to feel like I have not wasted any money, and with this lube, it physically feels expensive. Perhaps to make it even more premium, I would have used a glass tube instead.

This lube is probably the thickest lube I have ever touched - It's like wall-paper paste! It is very coating and creates a thick paste on top of the skin and on a sex toy. When it came to washing it off my skin, it didn't budge! I had to really wash them, and even when I thought I had washed it all off, my skin still felt a little slimy - I didn't like that! This lube also only works with latex and polyurethane condoms, as well as metal and glass sex toys only, as it cannot be used with silicone toys, as it contains silicone. However, as this hybrid lube is made partly from water, it doesn't get tacky when rubbed into the skin - it certainly doesn't have to be re-applied often as it remains wet, basically forever!

This lube feels very premium and high quality, because it is so thick and smooth on the skin. It is FDA approved, like all the JO lubes. As a vulva owner, I am quite picky with my lubes as I want the risk of an infection to be as low as possible. The great news is that this lube is glycerin and paraben free, which is amazing for vulva owners especially, as they have a decreased risk in developing an infection! The ingredients in this hybrid lube are: Propylene Glycol, Aqua, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone, Cellulose Gum, Cyclopentasiloxane, Sodium Polyacrylate, Trideceth-6 and Dimethicone.

This lube is definitely pricey, but most lubes that have silicone in them, tend to be more expensive than ones without. Even though JO is a recognisable and trustworthy brand, I still think the price of this lube is too much! I don't often like to spend too much money on my lubes, because I only use it to make sex marginally better - Lube for me isn't a complete necessity, so a cheap hybrid lube will do! I certainly wouldn't pay this price of this lube again.

If I didn't end up washing off this lube, it would probably be on me forever! It is so thick and obviously contains silicone, that this lube is lasting until the end of time. For someone who hates thinking about their lube and doesn't like to re-apply mid-way through 'activities', this lube was ideal for me! I would highly recommend using this lube for any type of activities - including using large anal toys! The only downfall - I really don't like lubes that still remain on the skin after washing it off a couple of times - I hate the feeling of it being slimy on my skin! Otherwise, I liked it.

I really love the System JO lubes, as they are in large bottles that are easy to squeeze. When buying JO lubes, I feel like I am getting the most for my buck, because I hate buying small bottles. Personally, I like to use a lot of lube, so I hate it when the bottle runs out too quickly! The bottle is made of plastic that isn't too hard or thick to use, as well as having a click-close lid, that is really accurate when squeezing lube onto the skin or toys! The lid also screws off so that every last drop can be used! Win Win!

Despite this lube not being translucent, it didn't leave a stain on cotton bed sheets. It is initially very wet when soaked on the fabric, but after drying and washing, it didn't leave any stains. Yet, when the lube is on the skin, you can see it. Unlike other lubes that simply just look shiny and wet, this one has a slight white tint, that looks a little like something else!... I am not a fan...
