First Impressions
I eagerly tore open the outer packaging as I do with every package delivered (it feels like Christmas every time) and, after more carefully opening the Blowmotion box, I found myself impressed with the quality feel of the toy! It didn’t feel cheap and the adjustable band is a clever design feature that was well implemented. After the customary cleaning, I applied some lube, then more lube, and eventually a lot of lube. Despite the amount, the toy did not feel slick – the lube rested in the valleys between the ridges and did not cling to the portion that makes contact with flesh. To make things worse the sleeve ridges did not yield except under intense and painful phallic pressure, making the experience uncomfortable and certainly not pleasurable. During use there is a very distinct sound that resembles a monotone xylophone that completes the picture. An oil-based lubricant might have helped, but I wasn’t interested in trying since the toy hurt to use. With the stiffness of the silicone and the difficulty with the lubricant my stamina was certainly put to the test but absent of pleasure or happy ending.Techniques
Before use, I warmed the sleeve in hot water, hoping it would enhance the experience. However, it wasn’t the temperature that turned me off; the inflexibility of the material made this toy unenjoyable. The design is very solid, utilizing high-quality plastic and resilient silicone. While simple, it is evident that a lot of thought was put into its creation. It’s difficult to see how this could be better engineered without creating a more complex mechanism, which would add to the cost and potentially make it harder to clean. The plastic case has enough gripping points to prevent it from slipping from your hand during use.
As stated before, the quality is beyond reproach. The toy feels exceptionally well-made and durable. The noise it makes is comparable to popping bubble wrap. It would likely take an adult stepping on the toy to break it, its simplicity adding to its impressive sturdiness.
As of writing this review, the going price for this toy is about $40 USD. For the money, it is well-built and of great quality. It may accomplish its purpose through rough and thorough desensitization, but don't expect it to be pleasurable. The toy comes with its own drawstring low-friction bag for discrete and clean storage and transport.
In retrospect, I may have had the wrong expectation for this toy. When it comes to sex toys, I have always expected the intended experience to be pleasurable. This is not the case for this toy, but that doesn't mean it won't accomplish its goal of stamina training. The method it uses, however, is not personally desirable. I can see it being used for frustration in a BDSM scene—stroking and teasing without pleasure—but not in the traditional 'riding the edge of orgasm' route of stamina building.
The packaging is professional, though the toy doesn't need much padding as it is innately resilient to impact. It arrived in a discrete box with good labeling that didn't hint at its contents. While there were instructions inside, they weren't necessary—just avoid using silicone-based lube and you'll be fine.
The non-porous silicone sleeve is easy to remove and clean from the handle.
