The CalExotics Head Pump Set is a penis head pump that offers both suction and vibration modes that can be run separately or simultaneously. It offers a 5 vibration modes and 3 suction modes and two different silicone sleeves for a better seal. It is meant for mainly penis head stimulation so it is a bit too short for getting the whole thing in there. The device is made out of plastic and does not appear to be waterproof or really sealed at all. The quality feels good though and it is easy to hold onto and operate with one hand. Overall it looks and feels nice, it starts to fail in the performance department however.

The first time I pulled it out of the box (and begrudgingly tracking down a handful of AAA batteries) and turned it on….I couldn’t figure out how to get it work as things have to be just right for it to seal and actually provide suction. After a little troubleshooting  I was able to get it to work sort of as it should. While there are different modes, I found that manually releasing the suction at the desired level provided better results. Cleaning everything up after is tricky as well due the device not being waterproof and having lots of hard to get to areas, not to mention the TPE sleeves are very sticky and will attract dust and lint.

The pump looks good aesthetically and is a good size to fill the hand but not be overly large and clumsy. It is relatively light and quiet but definitely not silent. The controls are limited to three buttons on the side of the device and are used to turn it on and off as well as cycle through the various modes. It is a pretty minimalistic design without a lot of bells and whistles which I can appreciate. It is made out of a soft plastic that is very easy handle and feels very nice. All moving parts are covered with silicone.

Using the information on the box, it is easy to use once you figure out what the different functions are and how to utilize them together. There is also a small instruction sheet in the box that tells you how to get things moving and adjust the modes. Overall, it is easy to use and operate with only a small learning curve regarding how to get everything situated to your own personal liking.

It feels sturdy and does not flex or make any unwanted noise or movements. Upon closer inspection however, it does have some flaws. One of the first things I noticed was the lack of any type of seal on the battery compartment which tells me that it is not waterproof or even water resistant. In its defence, it does not claim to be either. The two silicone sleeves that come with the device seem on par with quality and will probably last as long as the device itself. They are a sticky TPE material and tend to gather dust and lint if not kept sealed. The toy is relatively quiet but definitely not silent, somewhat comparable to most full size wand vibrators.

At a cost of around $60, it is mediocre at best. While it does technically work it is not really an upgrade from a more traditional style stroker unless you are particularly interested in suction toys.

They talk a big game but when it really comes down to it, it misses the mark. The suction function is quite powerful and that alone can be fun but in conjunction with the other modes on this toy, it can't save it. The vibrator itself is actually pretty good, but the design of the machine makes sure that most of the actual vibration is lost by the time it gets to you. There are 5 vibration modes, three speeds and two patterns. Because of that, the various vibration modes are too weak to have any real effect and the whole arm within the suction cup had a tendency to get stuck if pressed into too hard. The battery life seemed pretty good, although that will depend on the quality of the AAA batteries you use in it since it does not come with any. While not silent, it is not particularly loud either, probably on par or a little louder than most large wand vibrators.

It comes well packaged and the box is marked with all the functions like most similar toys. The design is pretty discreet as far as not having anything explicit on the packaging and only using dark colors. While the box does provide information on the functions, there is a small instruction sheet inside that provides slightly more information on how to operate it.

The entire construction of the pump is plastic and the exterior is easily cleaned with soap and water. Inside the suction cup (where it will need cleaned the most) it is very difficult to access the smaller areas at the top of the suction cup. It is not waterproof, although that would make a fantastic addition, and should not be submerged. It does not come with any storage box or bag other than the cardboard retail box.

  • Reasonably quiet
  • Strong suction
  • Simple to use

  • Not waterproof
  • Weak vibrator
  • Difficult to clean

The CalExotics Head pump set is a penis pump that offers both suction and vibration modes that are user controlled to offer a personalized experience. In reality, it doesn't really live up to the hype. The pros: Build quality is pretty good overall with the device feeling solid in the hand with no flexing or unwanted movement. Sound is very minimal and shouldn't bother anyone in nearby rooms. The suction feature is pretty powerful and does provide a nice sensation. The cons: No batteries provided and it is not rechargeable which is inconvenient at best. Very difficult to clean with some hard to get to areas and sticky materials. The vibration motor is just too weak when compared to other options. Overall, it feels a bit clumsy and difficult to use.
