Normally, I’m not a gag person. Not as a submissive anyway. But I will say, the Dominix Deluxe Leather Bit Gag is easily one of the most comfortable gags I’ve personally worn. I have TMJ and ball gags can be *very* uncomfortable after about 45 seconds, and traditional bit gags are a smidge too hard for my comfort, this however seems to be a happy medium! The ability to bite down on a softer, more chewy texture was a real game changer as far as comfort goes!
First Impressions are Everything?
I’ll be honest, I’m a sucker for packaging. It can really set the tone for your experience as a whole, and I wont lie, The Dominix Deluxe Leather Bit Gag left me wanting in that department. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with clear plastic packaging (like the bag kind), but something about sex toys in that kind of packaging just makes the product and experience feel kinda cheap. That’s just me though. Packaging aside, I found this gag to feel pretty high quality. The leather is smooth, the buckle holes are sturdy and don’t feel cheap and the bit itself is soft and squishy, but firm enough to hold it’s shape and stay put once in place.Catch You On the Flip Side
As I mentioned earlier, I’m not chomping at the bit (haha see what I did there?) to wear a gag, but if I were, this would be my pick. It’s comfortable, adjustable, and easy to clean up. However my preferred way to utilize this gag? On someone else. From a dominant perspective, this gag is visually appealing, muffles any unnecessary commentary, and doesn’t break the bank for something that’s going to be drooled on. My submissive is able to comfortably wear this gag much longer than a traditional ball gag, and that’s something we’re both pleased with!
The design of the Dominix Deluxe Leather Bit gag is quite attractive. Made entirely of leather, the buckle straps have an adjustable range of 14.5 – 23 inches, and features O rings on either side of the bit for a flush fit against the wearers face. I will mention if you have your ears stretched/gauged, you may find the straps uncomfortable against the sides of your head.
Most gags are pretty straight forward, and this is no different. It's a simple buckle closure system with 11 slots making it fully adjustable to just about every head size.
Other than the lackluster packaging, the quality of this bit gag is pretty impressive! The leather is soft and doesn't have that plastic-y feeling some of the cheaper "Leather" products have and the bit is soft. So biting down or chewing on it remains comfortable for the duration of the wear.
Honestly for $30 I think this is an excellent purchase. The quality is absolutely there, and at an attainable price point for experienced and novice kinksters alike However, much like with every toy I receive, I just wish it came with a storage bag of some sort.
Overall my experience wearing the Dominix Deluxe Leather Bit Gag, as well as having my sub use it were both positive experiences! It certainly kept my sub quiet, and allowed for a comfortable muffled session. I expect I'll find myself reaching for this gag more often than not compared to my others.
I mentioned earlier the packaging was lackluster, and I meant it. The Dominix Deluxe Leather Bit Gag came to me in a plain clear plastic bag package, inside a nondescript mailer box. While I'm grateful for the discretion, I do wish it came just a little better packaged. This was packaged like socks from amazon or something .
The Dominix Deluxe Leather Bit Gag is made entirely from leather, and while it does feel high quality, I would say it IS porous and not considered waterproof. To clean I recommend wiping it down with a damp cloth with soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner, pat dry and store in a cool dry place.
