It is named the Hot Shot because it has a heating element that warms the toy before and during use. It has a flexible silicone membrane with a vibrating plate. It is a fun toy that delivers unique sensations.
First Impressions
When I opened the Hot Shot I was a bit surprised how small it was. I liked the feel of the grippy silicone on the exterior and the squishy silicone around the opening and interior. It had a bit of a charge so I tested the warming function. It took a few minutes to heat up, the interior was noticeably warm but not too hot. I liked the tactical click of the control buttons, it is also light weight and comfortable to hold. I charged it up ready for a test.After a Few Uses
On the product page and the box the Hot Shot is said to “authentically mimic the sensation of oral sex”. It doesn’t feel much like oral sex but it does feel great. On the lowest setting the vibrations are generally distributed and indistinct. At higher settings the toy primary stimulates the frenulum and the vibrations are much more distinct. The lowest setting allows for a long buildup and the higher settings provide more intense stimulation. I like the different vibration patterns especially the one that starts slow then builds for a few seconds before dropping off again. The Hot Shot is a great vibrator and is easy and pleasant to use.
The Lovehoney is bullet shaped with 4 control buttons at the tip and an opening at the base. The exterior of the toy is coated with a textured silicone for grip. The interior of the toy has a smooth silicone membrane which covers the heating element and vibrating plate. It has an inner diameter of 1.5 inches and interior length of 3 inches. It is designed to stimulate the glans and frenulum. It has 6 vibration patterns and 3 intensities.
The Lovehoney hotshot is simple to control and use. It is controlled by 4 buttons which are easily reachable during use. The thermometer button turns on the warming function. The power button turns on the vibrations and cycles through vibration patterns. The plus and minus buttons control the vibration intensity. The controls are straightforward and the textured silicone makes it easy to grip.
Lovehoney has made a concerted effort the past few years to produce quality toys with their branding, and the Hot Shot is no exception. The toy seems well built, it functions as intended with strong vibrations. The silicone smooth and supple and the buttons have a nice click. I wish that it was fully waterproof and submersible rather than just splashproof, and I would like if it used a standard charger like USB C. (I have way to many proprietary charging cables in my toy box) Overall I am happy with the quality of the Hot Shot.
The Hot Shot costs $89.99 and is available from the Lovehoney website. The Hot Shot is a bit less expensive then similar Penis vibrators like those made by Hot Octopus and Fun Factory. I think the Hot Shot is reasonably priced for the features it provides, especially if it is discounted during one of Lovehoneys frequent sales.
The Hot Shot exceeded my expectations. I thought the integrated heating was a bit of a gimick, and it would feel a bit underwhelming with no internal texturing. The vibrations were strong and delivered a lot of stimulation. I liked the different vibration patterns, but there are not so many it's overwhelming. It is easy to control and the battery lasted long enough for use.
The Hot Shot used the standard packing of most Lovehoney toys. It is a simple design of shiny white cardboard with blue detailing and purple text. The packaging has a picture of the toy, the Lovehoney heart logo, instructions for use, and a list of features. Overall I like the look of Lovehoney packaging it looks exciting and fun but isn't overly explicit.
The Hot Shot is made of hard plastic encased in silicone. The plastic is lightweight and strong. The silicone on the exterior of the toy is grippy and protects the plastic from damage. The silicone on the toys interior is smooth and gets very slick with a bit of lube. Silicone is nontoxic and body safe making it an excellent choice for a sex toy. Inside the plastic body are the battery, motors, microcontroller and heating element. Because it is all coated in silicone and splashproof it is easy to clean. It recharges in about 1.5 hours.

The Lovehoney Hot Shot is my new favorite travel toy. It is compact and lightweight perfect to toss in the bottom of a bag. It also is relatively discreet and has a travel lock which are great features for a travel. The Hot Shot is a warming male vibrator that delivers pinpoint stimulation to the frenulum. It delivers lovely low effort orgasms and is easy to control and clean. It may not be the most exciting looking toy but it is functional and quite fun.
