I must have been very good this year to get my hands on the 12 Days of Discovery Advent Calendar from Lovehoney! Just the box itself made me giddy with Christmas excitement even though it’s only October! I think it’s beautifully presented and had me excited to peek in all the boxes and find out what treats awaited! Luckily for you, I was granted special permission from Santa to open them early and share my findings with you!Here’s What’s Inside:

My Favorites
I’ll start with the star of the show, the Lovehoney Indulge, which has internal vibrations and a clitoral suction stimulator all in one toy. I was impressed that the clitoral suctions stimulator is actually pretty strong. Karen had reviewed it for us and found it was actually too strong for her liking, so if you prefer more intense clitoral stimulation, this could be a winner for you! Dual stimulators can be a bit hot or miss depending on your anatomy, so while I think it’s a great toy in terms of stimulation, it worth keeping in mind that if you’ve had trouble getting rabbit vibrators or dual stimulators to work with your anatomy in the past, you might have similar problems with this one. I have to say though, out of all the lovely little treats in the calendar, I think the nipple clamps might win my vote for best thing in the calendar. I just love the lightening design so much! I also really like that they match the purple jewelled butt plug, which is also very cute!The Bullet Vibrator and Friends
As with many advent calendars, this one comes with a little bullet vibrator that can be used as it is or inside some of the other toys. I was very happy to see that it’s both waterproof and rechargeable and I’m a fan of the sleek rose gold design. As you might expect from such a small toy, the vibration are on the buzzy side but it’s got a decent amount of power. With a little lube, you can slide into the dildo, finger vibrator sleeve, or anal beads to add a pleasant buzz.
I love that Lovehoney have gone for individual boxes that you can open instead of perforated windows this year! It keeps the calendar looking so much nicer and really gives a more elevated, luxurious look. I think it's lovely that all of the items are color coordinated so you feel like you are getting a complete set that all looks lovely together. Who said a matching butt plug and pair of nipple clamps couldn't be a whole outfit! I also really appreciate the variety of toys and accessories that they've packed into just 12 days!
I think everything in the kit is very easy to use and beginner-friendly. It can be a bit tricky getting the bullet vibrator in and out of the other accessories but it's much easier if you use a little water-based lubrication, which you also get in the calendar, lucky enough! There's also a guide that comes with the calendar with short instructions for each item.
I think the quality is fairly high for an advent calendar. I love that all of the insertable toys are made of quality silicone and everything is well-made and will still be bringing you joy long after the Christmas decorations are taken down! The mini wand isn't the best quality, and I don't like that it's battery powered and very buzzy so I've knocked a few points off for that.
Considering the Indulge alone costs $79.99, I think the price of $119 is a real steal! That's less than $5 a day for so much pleasure and all the fun of getting a little gift to open every day! If I was new to sex toys and looking to expand my repertoire, this would be the way I'd do it!
Overall, I'm really happy with the performance of almost all of the items in the calendar. I think the Indulge is a great toy. It has some powerful clitoral suction that feels fairly deep and rumbly on the lower settings and more fluttery on the higher ones. The G-spot vibrations are also decently powerful but more on the buzzy end of the spectrum. I think it's a shame that although it's a little flexible, it's not posable. It's also fairly quiet for a clit sucker! The bullet vibrator is powerful but definitely more buzzy. I would say that it's not my taste, as I'm need some serious rumbles, but if you are new to sex toys or prefer buzzy vibes then it could be more of a hit. The only item that I think could be replaced is the battery-powered mini wand as the vibrations are a bit of a let down.
I can't fault the packaging whatsoever. I think the swirling purple design is elegant, sexy and sensual. I also like that it's also very discreet so you could easily have it out on display without anyone knowing what's inside. The small boxes are really cute and you could even use them for storing some of the items if you want to.
As I mentioned, all of the insertable items are made from silicone which is body-safe and easy to care for. All of the silicone accessories and the bullet vibrator are waterproof, and can be cleaned with mild soap and warm water. The Mini Wand os not waterproof so be careful when cleaning it. You can use the toy wipes include or a damp cloth and a little soap.

I think the Lovehoney 12 Days of Discovery is a great calendar for any woman looking to add a little spice to those cold winter nights! Whether you are looking to treat yourself or your partner, there are a lot of different toys and accessories to enjoy. I would say it's more aimed at people who don't already have a lot of sex toys, but if you are new to sex toys and looking to expand your horizons, this is a very fun way to do it! The main prize is a fantastic dual stimulator, and although it's great quality, the design might not work with all bodies. I think this advent calendar is fantastic value for money! For just $5 a day, you get an amazing array of sexy treats to make December a whole lot hotter!
