  • Are apart from your partner, but still want to play with each other.
  • Enjoy toys that incorporate technology to enhance the experience.
  • Don't want the effort of manually knocking one off the wrist!
  • Have a partner with a member and want to be able to tease and please him.
  • Enjoy other branded masturbators with a similar sleeve design.

  • Need total silence from your toys.
  • Don't want to download various apps to get the most out of the toy.
  • Can't be bothered with cleaning up afterwards.

The Lovense Solace 2 is described by the makers as an AI-Powered Remote Control Thrusting Masturbator, which pretty much sums it up. It is a cordless device, which you charge via the USB port underneath. Once charged, there's enough power to provide several play sessions, and plenty of thrusting action. The main body of the toy is hard plastic, along with a removeable metal bracket that can be used to mount the toy to things like a desk or bed. The business part, the sleeve, is made of a soft, real-feel material, which is very comfy when in use. The toy can be controlled in a number of ways, with various apps and remote control options possible, alongside the old fashioned possibility of manually using it as a stroker. Through the range of options available, the Solace Pro is suitable for playing both alone, or with someone else. or even participating in an online orgy!

The future is here

AI is much vaunted in the media these days, with everything from your phone to your car and even the washing machine apparently being powered by AI. So, it should be no surprise to see it being introduced to adult toys, and having experienced the results, I’m glad it has been! Lovense have always had a reputation for making quality toys that allow users to play over distances, and this toy follows in that tradition, but adds AI to the equation. Essentially, through the Vibemate app, the Solace Pro is able to try to match the pattern of the action onscreen, so it feels like you are literally immersed in the action! The app allows you to sync with live cam performers, or to enjoy film content in a new way. Coupled to a VR headset, I could imagine this as being an incredible experience.

Tophy

There is also the Tophy app, which in essence acts a bit like a big adult playground, where you can try to get hooked up with someone else to either control their toy(s) or be controlled, or play together. Personally, I think Tophy is probably more enjoyable if a female is searching for someone to play with, much like many other sites.

Lovense App

Then, there’s the actual Lovense app, which offers a number of possibilities. These include using your phone as a remote control; creating your own patterns (being able to change the speed and depth of the thrusting motion); establishing a control link with someone else; or using music to activate your toy. It also has an app gallery, largely populated by games and, I’d have to say, from my experience, this isn’t particularly great, certainly not with the Solace Pro, being pretty awkward to actually get working and not really offering all that great an experience. The Long Distance feature will be of interest though, as this is one of the things Lovense is well known for. It allows you to play with your partner, no matter where they are. You can either control each other’s toy(s), mirror what your toy is doing, or simply let them take control. To further enhance this feature, Lovense now offers a toy package containing not only the Solace Pro, but also the Mission 2, so hetro, and possibly other couples, can have a toy each to enjoy with each other. There are also other packages now available.

Lights, camera, action!

I suspect, for many users, the Vibemate app is the one likely to get the most use. In here, you can chose to get your toy to respond during live stream action with cam models, either to tips, their toy, sounds, etc.. or you can enjoy the AI, or patterns other users have created, as you chose from the range of videos available from pretty much all the main, and some other, adult websites. So, if you ever wanted to join-in with your favourite performers, now is your chance to do so, virtually at least. This was certainly my favourite of the control options, although sometimes it was necessary to change the settings used from AI to something else, be it sound, or another user’s saved patterns, as the synchronisation was sometimes rather sporadic or just completely out of step. As Vibemate links to numerous video and live action sites, chances are that you will be able to find something to enjoy, whilst enjoying the sensations from the toy’s soft, pliable, knobbly sleeve.

The Sleeve

The all important sleeve is made from TPE, for a sensation that is certainly a lot more comfortable than ramming into a tree! With a good dollop of lube (water based) you will soon be experiencing blissful sensations, as the toy moves back and forth, taking you to effortless orgasms. Amazingly, this can stroke you at up to a very impressive 300 strokes per minute, more than enough to challenge most people’s stamina.

Oh, the possibilities!

With so many options over how the toy is controlled, the speed and depth of its thrusting, which app to use, etc… there really are an enormous number of possibilities when using the Solace Pro. Solo play, playing with a partner(s), play next to someone, or playing with somebody on another continent, it’s all possible. You really do need a lot of time to thoroughly explore all of the options opened to you by this amazing device and its associated apps.

Lovense Solace Pro -

Whilst quite neat and relatively compact, the Solace Pro weighs a fairly hefty 1.2kg., so you can be pretty sure that this is a toy that has been well built. Having the ability to use the toy hands free is a fun option, although it would be good if there was a simple way to do so whilst lying in bed. With the weight and size of the toy, it feels and looks like a quality product, the only negative is the plastic of the tube that contains the sleeve, which compared to the other materials used feels a bit cheap. It would also be better if the front cover could screw into position to avoid it getting knocked off by accident. Having controls on the side of the main body works well and helps the toy offer simple solo play options, as well as offering a partner a way to control the action without the need for an app.

Lovense Solace Pro -

In general, the Solace Pro is easy enough to use. The built-in controls are simple to access and use, meaning you can enjoy the toy straightaway, without needing the various apps. The apps, however, are probably one of the main reasons for buying this product and, if I'm being honest, are probably the weakest link. Whilst it's great to have a load of different options, some things work better than others and the number of choices, menus, settings, etc.. can get a bit confusing. The Vibemate app does an admirable job of letting you enjoy the onscreen action whilst experiencing some great sensations. Granted, not all video feeds or streams are perfect in matching the onscreen to what the toy does, but in most cases it's good enough that it doesn't detract from the experience. The Tophy app is a bit of a waste of time, in my personal opinion. Whilst the idea of being able to have a stranger take control of your toy seems fun, most of the time, I found it neigh on impossible to get a play partner, let alone get any responses to messages etc... The app also seems to have quite a few scammers and fake profiles, so isn't really one I can recommend right now. The actual Lovense app is the other main app that you are likely to want. It offers multiple ways to control the toy, including synchronising with a partner somewhere else, although I didn't find this feature as easy to use as it might otherwise have been; it seemed to involve searching for the correct menu, subsection, etc... I think it could be better, but maybe with time becomes easier and more intuitive to use. The app also allows your toy to sync to the beat of your favourite tunes, to have a manual version of the onboard controls, play games (not that I managed to get this working very well, as, again, it seemed pretty complicated). So, whilst at it's most basic levels, the toy is easy to use, to access some of the more advanced application options is more difficult and not quite so user friendly.

As mentioned in the design section, the toy is largely made of good quality materials, well designed and has a sturdy, quality feel to it. Noise levels are general alright, but do climb the more vigorously the toy gets moving. If you attach your toy to something like a desk or bath edge, this can also significantly affect the noise levels.

There's no getting around it, this toy is quite expensive, especially with an RRP of almost £340, not that you're ever likely to pay that, as Lovense do seem to pretty much have a constant reduction bringing it down to £169. The bundle deals also offer some reasonable deals, eg, the Solace Pro and Mission 2 for £248.90. Value can be quite a subjective measure, some people will almost certainly decide that, for the quality and flexibility, the price is well justified and, certainly at £169, I'd probably be inclined to agree. However, if it was the RRP, I don't think it would be worth the circa £340 tag.

This toy can certainly perform and deliver some incredibly intense orgasms, or tortuous teasing sessions. The sleeve feels really nice and should suit most users, although make sure to use water based lube. Playing solo, either with the onboard controls, or using the apps (particularly Vibemate) was fun. The ability to 'feel' the onscreen action is definitely a big selling point for the Solace Pro. When used with a partner, again, the toy can certainly deliver and could be a great way to have fun together when apart. However, as already mentioned, it would be better if it was easier to pair with your partner and then decide how you're going to play, eg. if you want to control each other's toy, synchronise them, etc.. There are so many options and choices. The toy is wireless, so you are reliant upon its built-in rechargeable batteries. I was actually amazed by how well the toy performed in this respect, both in terms of how much power it had and how well the battery charge lasted. Recharging was simple, with the included USB cable. Many wireless toys are seriously let down by a lacklustre performance, but this is an area where Lovense really seem to deliver the goods and you could be hard pressed to tell whether it is wireless or plugged in to a power supply.

The packaging has a good quality feel and presents the toy nicely. They don't go overboard with lots of extra bags, ties, etc.. which makes a nice change. The design on the box is simple and informative, giving pertinent information and not making the toy look sleazy or cheap. The inclusion of a storage pouch is welcome, although I found it maybe needed to be a bit bigger if you want to put the bracket inside too. The box includes a QR code, for those that use them, in order for you to access extra information and download apps.

The materials have a good weight and feel, with the only negative being the tube that holds the sleeve - I felt it wasn't up to the standard of the rest of the toy. With batteries that perform well, and powerful motors, the toy is reasonably heavy, certainly enough to ensure you know about it, but this, again, adds to the quality feel of the product. Whilst the sleeve and tube are fine to immerse in water, the main body most certainly is not, and there is a warning not to get it wet. With all the electronics that the toy uses, this isn't a big surprise, although maybe Lovense could look to make a waterproof version at some point, to open a world of bath time fun? After all, many of their other toys are waterproof! The sleeve is really easy to remove and wash with soap and warm water. Personally, I like to invert the sleeve to ensure it is cleaned thoroughly, and then dry it, before putting it back into the holder and storing the toy in the provided pouch. This way, you be sure that there won't be any nasty things growing inside next time you go to play. The supplied caps help to protect the insert when placed within the tube, which is useful, as I found without the cap, the insert can discolour if in contact with other things. Mine went slight black from resting against the bag. With everything clean and tidy, storage in the supplied pouch is nice and easy, as is charging when required.

As mentioned previously, this toy, with the addition of its apps, is packed with features. There are almost too many to list, but given time, and the inclination, you can discover a cornucopia of ways to play. Being able to synchronise the toy with onscreen action is going to be the biggest attraction for many, whilst many others will appreciate the ability to still be intimate with a partner who could be on the other side of the planet. The ability to control both the speed of the thrusting action, plus the depth of the thrusts adds even more fun to the mix. If it could vibrate and have a vacuum suction option, it would be the complete package! It would be nice if you could use the entire toy whilst having a leisurely soak in the bath, rather than only being able to submerge the tube and insert; here’s hoping that Lovense release an IP rated version at some future point!

  • Quality product
  • Lots of options
  • Fantastic sensations
  • Ability to play with a distant partner
  • Ability to sync with onscreen action
  • Amazingly lifelike sensations from the thrusting sleeve

  • Sometimes a bit too complicated to control with apps
  • For some, the price
  • Noise might be an issue for some

If this is the rise of the robots, bring it on! The Lovense Solace 2 is classed as an AI-Powered Remote Control Thrusting Masturbator, which is an awful lot to take in. Essentially, this device allows you to either have control in the palm of your hands, i.e. using the controls on the device; various remote control options, either by yourself or a partner that could be on the other side of the planet; or to use the AI capability to provide an immersive experience when viewing content or playing games via their Vibemate app. Some options were certainly easier to use than others, but chances are you'll soon find something that powers you to blast-off! You don't have to be a techno nerd to enjoy this toy, but it might help with some of the features that can prove a bit trickier to access. In short, though, if you have a phallus, then this toy comes recommended as a way to open a world of playtime possibilities and intense orgasms.
