Upon receiving the Lux Active Triad, I was impressed with its sleek design and the plush feel of the silicone. Seated in its own separate slot was the Triad’s PowerBullet vibrator, a thick bullet vibrator with a single button and a light up function to let you know that it’s powered on. With the fact that both the cock ring and the vibrator could be used separately, it feels appropriate to provide separate insights for both. Testing was done both solo and with a partner.

Putting A Ring On It

The Triad comes with two rings with one seated right above a second larger ring. The stretchy nature of the rings allowed for an easy time putting it on while the double ring allowed for some versatility in wearing it. I initially tried the top ring on the penis and the larger bottom ring wrapped around the scrotum as recommended with a diagram on the back of the box, but also found enjoyment in a double wrap around the penis. Due to the stretchy nature of Lux Active Triad, it does the job of what a cock ring is supposed to do (restrict blood flow to maintain a strong erection) but I am sure that there are other options that would provide stronger methods of doing that.

The PowerBullet Does Some Heavy Lifting

The included vibrator certainly does not disappoint when it comes to power despite it’s tiny appearance. The first two speeds provide some light rumble and the motor begins to really pick up in 3 and 4. The vibrating patterns differ between a steady pulse, a slow rising and setting buzz, and a mix between the two for the final option. Despite it being more of an addition to the cock ring rather than the main component to the Lux Active Triad, the vibrator found its usage a LOT more. When attached to the cock ring, it provided some deep vibrations that reverberated through the whole penis and when used on its own provided some pleasurable experiences for my partner as we used it during foreplay. The fully waterproof functionality did make cleaning it quite easy, and allowed for some opportunities to use it in the bathtub as well. A couple things to note are that with it’s powerful motor, the PowerBullet did get quite hot to the touch after some prolonged usage and with it being charged magnetically it uses a proprietary type of cord rather than a universal cord like a USB-C which may prove difficult to find a replacement for if you ever lose it. The magnetic charging is pretty painless, but I do encourage keeping it on a flat surface away from things potentially knocking into it as there were instances where did stopped charging due to something breaking the connection.

Plays Well with Others

When used during sex, my partner and I felt that the best way to use it was keeping it to positions where it maintained constant contact with the clitoris (i.e missionary and cowgirl). We used the first two speeds to get warmed up to it and to get into better positioning to ensure that it was resting directly on the clit. Using shorter strokes to make sure the clit was being stimulated the entire time, we used the remote control to kick things into the third gear and found that things really started to get a lot more pleasurable from there with an pretty quick shift into its fourth gear shortly after that. Although it did get the job done, my partner did express that she would have really preferred a little more oomph in terms of it resting on the clit. The Lux Active triad is made of a very soft silicone and felt more flesh-like than a lot of other silicone products. I tested the elasticity of both of the rings, with the bottom one allowing enough stretch to wrap around my wrist while also reverting back to it's original size without issue. When putting it on, it honestly felt like an extension of my own body rather than something completely foreign. Despite the bullet being much harder due to its plastic casing, the attachment area had enough squishy material that it did not feel uncomfortable whatsoever. The cock ring also promotes a lot of versatility in wear as there are many ways to potentially put it on. Due to its stretchy nature, it did not feel uncomfortable at all when wearing it for prolonged periods of time nor when putting it on or removing it. Wrapping the cock ring around the penis was extremely easy to do, especially when lubricated. The back of the box provides a diagram of how to wear both rings to assist with a visual way to provide instruction. I was unfamiliar with how to use a ring around the scrotum prior to using this, so it did take some getting used to.

The Lux Active Triad definitely feels like you got your money's worth with both the rings and the vibrator. The remote is nice but sometimes feels a bit weak in signal when attempting to change speeds, especially during sex. The vibrator's sounds are fairly standard and are akin to those of an electric toothbrush.

With it retailing for about $55-$65, I can confirm that this is extremely worth the cost. Along with getting a dual set of high-quality cock rings, it also comes with a powerful vibrator that can be used on its own with its own remote control. All conveniently able to be put into an included travel pouch.

The Lux Active Triad boasts itself as the "Strongest Vibrating Cock Ring" and I do believe that it is certainly a contender for that title. The box stated a run time of up to 90 minutes, but we felt that the sweet spot was about an hour on average.

The Lux Active Triad makes the vibrating cock ring a solid addition to your collection rather than just a one and done gimmick.
