Vixen Colossus Penis Extender — Test & Review

The design of the Vixen VixSkin Colossus is meant to appear as much like a real penis as possible. The Colossus comes in three different human shades (“vanilla”, “caramel”, and “chocolate”) to accommodate users with a variety of skin tones and “turquoise” if the user wants to use an alternative shade. The shaft of the penis has “veins” to add to the feel of an actual penis. The head of the Vixen Colossus is slightly larger than the shaft for added stimulation. At the base of the Colossus is a scrotum ring/ball strap to help secure the extender in place.

I found the Vixen Colossus very easy to use. I was already familiar with penis extenders when I received this one, so there was no learning curve with it. Even if the user has never worn an extender before, it’s easy to pick up on and put into practice. The Colossus fits on only one way correctly, so it is difficult to put it on wrong. As long as you have a good bottle of water based lube to use, you’re good to go!

This is the first product that I’ve reviewed for Bedbible that I’ve given a 100 quality rating to! This due largely to how comfortable it was to wear and how well it held up during intercourse. From the user end, I have no complaints about the quality of the product at all.

The Vixen Colossus is on the more expensive end of penis extenders I’ve purchased. If there was ever a product that exemplifies “you get what you pay for” though, it’s the Vixen Colossus! The Vixen Creations website lists the Colossus for $156.00 (although you can get it cheaper by ordering it through any of the websites listed near the top of this page). Given that it stands head and shoulders above any of the other extenders I’ve used, the price doesn’t seem so over the top. After all, it’s cheaper than the combined total of the other penis extenders that did not work as well that I’ve purchased over the years.

So here’s where we get into the nitty gritty of the review. The Vixen Colossus is made to be a large size penis extender and the dimensions of it only get bigger as it expands around the user’s erect penis. For some on the recipient end this may be wonderful, for some it may be too much. It remains comfortable around the scrotum during intercourse and the base of the Colossus sits comfortably on the base of the user’s penis as well. It’s important to note, this is not an extender that’s made to be used with a flaccid penis. The Vixen penis sleeve products are firmer in structure for that purpose, so there are options available but the Colossus isn’t designed in that way. My partner mentioned the head of the penis being too big for her comfort and even compared it side by side with one of her larger yet still realistic sized dildos. Potential size issues of the Vixen Colossus aside, the product performs well and is a comfortable wear from start to finish.

The packaging of the Vixen VixSkin Colossus is very simple. The Colossus comes encased in a clear plastic tube that reads “VixSkin: Worth Every Inch”, which I personally feel is very aptly stated. The Vixen Colossus does not come with any instructions but is not complicated to use, even if the user has never worn a penis extender before.

The Vixen Colossus is made of silicone, which should let you know immediately that silicone-based lubes are out of the picture for use on the Colossus. You never want to use silicone lube on silicone toys as doing so will cause the silicone in the toy to break down over time and compromise the quality of the toy, in this case the Vixen penis sleeve. To clean the Colossus, a mild, unscented soap with water or toy cleaner with water is recommended.
