Intimate Earth Hydra Lube

The Intimate Earth’s Hydra Lube is an Organic water-based lube that is thick lube but still manages to not get tacky, and creates and even seal around a sex toy. It is a sexual lubricant that can be used with any sex toy material or condom type and comes in a tall plastic bottle, that is easy to squeeze. The click-close lid makes it easy to direct the lube accurately onto the desired area of the skin. Unfortunately, it is not FDA approved but it has been through scientific testing, making it safe for the market. It has a pH reading of 6, which shows that it is slightly more acidic that alkali. This is good as it is closer to the pH reading of a vagina, attempting to closely match the pH levels in order to avoid infection.

The Intimate Earth Hydra is one of my favorite lubes on the market, as it really ticks all the boxes. It is smooth and conditioned when on the skin, as well as the right viscosity for any type of sex, including anal. The intimate Earth lubes are some of my favourite, as the brand makes high quality lubes that have eye-catching packaging. I adore a lube that use natural ingredients, as it puts my mind at ease knowing that it is safe for my body – the pH of 6 shows that it is slightly acidic which matches the naturally acidic pH of a vagina, therefore reducing the risks! A low risk, high quality lube, what more could you want?

Sliquid Organics - Natural Lube

  • Want a lube with natural ingredients
  • Want a water-based lubricant
  • Want to use a silicone toy

Sliquid Organics - Natural Lube

  • Want a thick, tacky lube
  • Have weak hand-motor strength
  • Want a silicone lube

The Sliquid Organics Natural lube is an organic lube that uses organic and natural ingredients. It is designed to be a neutral lube that will be gentle and nonreactive on the skin. Sliquid lubes are designed by women, with women in mind, meaning that each product attempts to match the natural pH of a vagina. This lube’s pH reading is 5, showing that it is acidic – a close match to a vagina. This Organics Natural lube is water-based, meaning that it can be used with any type of condom and sex toy material. The bottle is made of hard plastic and has a clip-close lid, as well as being small enough to hold in one hand.

Overall, the Sliquid Organics Natural felt soft and moisturizing when on the skin; living up to what it says on the bottle. This lube didn’t become tacky or dry during use, yet it did feel quite thin and basic, being quite a watery lube. I would use this lube during foreplay or with a small vibrator, as I don’t think it would be very coating on larger toys, or for a long period. While using it, I thought I was going to have to re-apply the lube multiple times, because of how thin it was. If you want a long-lasting lube, I would opt for a thicker organic lube, like the Intimate Earth Hydra.

JO Lube

  • Don't want your sheets stained

  • Want a lube for anal

The System JO Organic lube is a water-based lube that is made out of organic ingredients and is free of glycerin. The bottle is made of plastic that is easy to squeeze, as well as an easy-to-use click-close lid. This lube does not have a constant flow when it comes out of the bottle; it is a lumpy, gel-like substance that is watery but smooth when on the skin. It is not tacky but it is thick, and is not translucent but a light green/yellow color, that does stain cotton. It can be used with all condom and sex toy materials and it has a pH level of 6. This shows that it is an acidic lube which is a good reading, as this is closer to matching the body’s natural pH.

  • It can be used with all types of condoms
  • It can be used with all types of sex toys

This lube wasn’t one of my favourites because it was nothing like any other lubes that I had tried before! I’ll start with the good things: the bottle and lid were very easy to use and the design of the packaging was eye-catching. This lube had a pH of 6, meaning that it is more acidic than neutral, which is good as it is a closer match to the acidic pH of a vagina. I prefer water-based lubes as I think they feel more natural and I prefer to use silicone toys. Other than these points, I disliked this lube. I didn’t like the texture at all – it came out in a gel-like spill, not having a constant flow, and felt a bit gloopy! I would prefer a smooth lube, like the Sliquid sensations, a lube that is translucent and doesn’t feel like jelly!

4 Best Tingling

Sliquid Sensations Organic Lube

 Sliquid Sensations

  • Are looking for an Organic lube
  • Want to use this lube with a silicone toy
  • Want a water-based lube

Sliquid Sensations

  • Have low strength or mobility issues in your hands
  • Want a long lasting lube
  • Want a lube with intense sensation feelings

The Sliquid lubes are certainly not my favorite, but this lube was pretty good. Despite the hard-to-use bottle because of the hard, thick plastic, the lube itself felt thick and coated. It has a medium-high longevity and I felt like I wouldn’t have to re-apply it often. The Sliquid lubes are not FDA-approved but this particular lube is organic, meaning that it uses natural ingredients that don’t interfere with the body’s natural pH. The Sliquid lubes are made by women, for women, so this lube has a pH reading of 5, which is an excellent attempt to match a vagina’s natural pH. For an organic lube with a special feature, it had an affordable price tag.

  • Can be used with any material toys
  • Can be used with all condom types
  • It has attractive packaging

  • Not waterproof
  • Hard, plastic bottle

The Sliquid Sensations lube isn’t the best, but it isn’t the worst. I would recommend this lube for someone who is looking for something thick and long-lasting, but is also health and safety conscious and appreciates an organic lube with natural ingredients. I think this lube would be great for any sexual activities, including anal. When I used it with a silicone dildo, it worked well, and coated it thoroughly. It is slightly disappointing that the tingling sensation wasn’t that noticeable for me, and I would have liked to have felt it working. I love a water-based lube that is thick but not tacky, and this lube is exactly that. If you’re not like me and would prefer a more watery lube, then i would recommend Sliquids’ Organics Natural lube instead, as it is certainly thinner and more runny. Overall, I think I would probably buy this lube again if my favorite was out of stock!

How to Use Organic lubes

Organic lubes can be used the same way as most other lubes – place the lube on your hands or desired body part, to lubricate the area and get turned on! If you’re wanting to use an organic lube with a sex toy, make sure to check if it is compatible with that specific sex toy material, as some lubes aren’t – for example, a silicone lube cannot be used with a silicone toy.

With a sex toy

With a sex toy

Use Organic lubes with sex toy; lubricating them will make them more comfortable and sensual when being played with! The wetter the better…

With a partner

With a partner

Add Organic lube to your sex with your partner, helping the bedroom get a little wetter. Lube helps reduce friction and often makes insertion more comfortable.

For anal

For anal

The anus isn’t self lubricating, so lube is a great help in making your dry behind, wet! During insertion, lube up the penis or toy and the anus, to act as an extra sliding layer. Use a thicker lube as it will be more comfortable and cushioning.

How to Clean with Organic lubes

Some lubes are harder to wash off than others. Make sure to use hot water with a natural soap when washing it off the body and boiling water when washing it off a sex toy. Make sure it is thoroughly washed off to avoid bacterial growth, which could potentially lead to infection. When washing it off bed-sheets or fabric, read the washing instructions on the fabric. All lube should be easy to wash out of fabric.

FAQ

An organic lube is a lubricant that is made of natural ingredients and avoids containing chemicals, fragrances, hormones, glycerin and parabens.

Organic lubes aim to not interfere with the body's natural pH, decreasing the risk of an imbalance and irritation. They are typically better for people that have sensitive genitals or skin.

What are Organic Lubes?

Organic lubes are lubricants formulated from pure and organic ingredients, that are completely free of chemicals, fragrances, parabens, and glycerin. An organic lube will not contain any ingredients produced with synthetic chemicals and is often better for the natural pH of your body, making it the closest lubricant to the natural one that your body produces.
