The Colt Exotics Volt Electro Spark is a slim electro-stimulation dildo with two electro-conductive patches in the tip of the toy. As well as 5 electro-stimulation modes, it features 7 vibration modes. The shaft is very flexible and has a three-button control.

This was the first internal electro-stimulation I’d tried and I was pretty terrified, so I put my boyfriend in the driving seat! We started out with the vibrations to get things going. They didn’t feel awful but they were definitely too buzzy for my liking. The wand is very slim and flexible, making it easy to insert and very beginning friendly. Once inside, and with a lot of anticipation on my part, my boyfriend clicked the electro-stimulation button. I was actually pretty disappointed when I didn’t feel anything at all from the electro-stimulation. So we took it up a notch and turned down the vibrations. I could feel something now but it wasn’t that enjoyable. It was a very concentrated, sharp electrical pulsing that made my muscles contract but it didn’t feel arousing or pleasant, just unusual and a little uncomfortable. I was hoping for deeper muscle contractions but it felt more like a twitching sensation. Even with some clitoral stimulation, this sensation just didn’t do anything for me. It’s unfortunate that there were no electro-stimulation patterns to explore as this meant it was the end of the road for me and the Electro Spark!

The Colt Exotics Volt Electro Spark has a pretty basic design, and while there's nothing wrong with how it looks, I didn't find it the most exciting. It's quite slim and the neck is very flexible, which makes it easy to insert but not the most satisfying. While the flexibility makes it comfortable to use in different positions, I think I would have preferred a posable shaft that held the shape so you had more control over the pressure. I also think having quite a concentrated area of conductive material resulted in the sharper pulsing sensation. I much preferred the broad, more spread out sensation of the Mystim Sizzling Simon

The Electro Spark is pretty easy to use as far as electro-stimulation toys go. There are only three buttons on the toy — one to turn it on/off, one to scroll through the 5 electro-stimulation levels, and one to scroll through the vibration modes.

When I first took the Electro Spark out of the box, I wasn't blown away by the quality. I felt a little flimsy and lightweight. There's nothing wring with it per se, but it definitely doesn't have the same weighty, solid, high-quality feel of other electric dildos.

The Cal Exotics Volt Electro Spark is one of the cheaper electro-stim vibrators on the market, but that is also reflected in the quality. Personally, I would rather spend that bit more and get a decently strong and satisfying electro-stim vibrator.

The vibrations were too buzzy to really get me anywhere and the electrostimulation was too focussed for my liking so the Electrosparks was, unfortunately, a bit of a letdown. I can't see myself getting much use out of it at all. Maybe if you like very sharp electro stimulation, you would enjoy it more than I did.

The Colt Exotics Volt Electro Spark comes packaged in a sturdy cardboard box with a picture of the toy on the outside. The design looks a little tacky and has a novelty feel to it. Inside, the toy is held in place with a two foam inserts, which is a bit unnecessary. The packaging seems overly big and a bit wasteful. It would have been nicer to have a smaller box and bag to store the toy in.

The Cal Exotics Volt Electro Spark is made of silicone, with Nickel-Free Zinc Alloy conductive pads. It's waterproof for cleaning purposes but the electro-stimulation function should be turned off when cleaning the device. I clean mine with some fragrance-free soap and warm water and make sure it's dry before storing. Theres no bag with the toy and the box is pretty bulky so you'll need to find your own bag if you want to store it without taking up a lot of drawer space.

  • Vibrations and e-stim controlled separately
  • Easy to use buttons
  • Slim, beginner friendly size

  • Buzzy vibrations
  • Electro-stim felt sharp
  • Too slim for those with more experience
  • No e-stim patterns

I didn't enjoy the type of electrostimulation this toy offered. It felt very concentrated and a little sharp and not particularly enjoyable. I much prefer broad, tingly electrostimulation internally. The vibrations were also pretty buzzy and underwhelming. The slim size would be fine for beginners but left me wanting a little more.
