The 5 Best Lipstick Vibrators

Ask anyone in the Bedbible office, and they’ll tell you that my love for the We-Vibe Tango X borders on an almost cult-like obsession. It was one of the first toys I reviewed for Bedbible, and despite testing many, many more vibrators since, the Tango X still sits proudly at the top of my favorites list. That’s why it had to be the winner in this review! The Tango X is thought by many to be the ‘gold-standard’ of bullet vibrators, mostly because of its insanely rumbly vibrations. On the lowest settings, the lipstick-shaped tip moves in a way that’s almost more like tapping than typical vibrations. You can actually see it wiggle around! This translates to stimulation that penetrates deep into the tissue and feels so much more satisfying than any other vibrations I’ve tried. The orgasms I get with the Tango X are full-body and pretty-much-earth-shattering — I think every vulva-owner deserves that experience! I also adore the plastic body of this vibe, which is smooth on the skin and allows me to really press down for firm clit stimulation. I’ve heard from some people that they find the buttons a little difficult to press, but I’ve never really had an issue with it. The button for patterns can be a little harder to feel, but they’re not really my jam anyway, so it doesn’t bother me.

Despite my love for the Tango X, the Lovense Exomoon is a very close contender. Isabelle, who tested it out, found the power of its vibes to be super satisfying. “It’s also rumbly“, she mentions, “As rumbly as you can expect from such a small toy anyway!“. One thing I think it really great about this lipstick vibrator is that it is exactly that! The Exomoon actually looks like a lipstick, including the red tip and even a cap to keep it protected. No one would look twice if they found this in your purse or vanity. The cap is made from ABS plastic, but the lipstick tip is made from “lovely and soft” silicone that’s gentle on skin. The other special feature of the Exomoon is its app controls. You can use it without, but you’ll only have access to 3 speeds and 4 patterns, which you have to cycle through using the device’s single button. Despite not being a regular sex toy app user, Isabelle found herself using the Lovense Remote app a lot with this toy. In her words: “I hate scrolling through settings and like to have more intensity options… Plus, the app is incredibly easy to set up and use“. You can use the app yourself or have a partner control it over Wifi, and it has a lot of customization and syncing options, like having the vibrations sync to music! Personally, I’m not a huge fan of feeling like I have to use an app to get the most out of my toy, but it does provide you with a lot of extra play options compared to the We-Vibe Tango X.

“I was pleasantly surprised by the power and rumbliness of its vibrations. Having low sensitivity, the main thing I look for in my vibrators is intensity, which this bullet promises.” Not everyone is immediately bowled over by sex toys, and our tester Mya had a bit of a journey with the Swan Maximum Bullet. Despite feeling the power and rumbles, it just wasn’t compatible with her in the beginning. However, with more tries, things started to fall into place and “it was nice!“. Mya really enjoyed that the Maximum Bullet was “portable and versatile” and “easily used all over, including in the bath“. One thing that I find really interesting about it is that it doesn’t have intensity levels like a normal vibe — you just press and hold the up or down button until you reach your desired speed. This a great compromise between the customizability of app controls and the simplicity of button controls. Another great bonus of this lipstick vibe is the accompanying silicone cuff. Mya found that it “absorbs the vibrations during use to help prevent numb fingers… and adds a nice grip to the toy that prevents slippage“. You can even slip a finger or two between the cuff and the bullet to use it as a secure finger vibrator! While you might look at the price of the Maximum Bullet and think ‘Is she crazy? That’s not budget-friendly!’, you might also be surprised to learn that a lot of the cheap lipsticks vibes out there are just no good. Weak and buzzy vibrations? No thanks. That’s why this toy made it onto my list — it performs very well at a reasonable price.

A big part of why we love lipstick vibrators is because they’re so discreet, right? Well, you can’t get much better on that front than the Lelo Mia 2. I’ve had the chance to see (and hear) the Mia 2 for myself, and I can tell you that it’s one of the quietest vibes I’ve ever experienced. Reaching barely over a whisper, even at higher settings, this would be my pick if I had roommates or family members that I didn’t want overhearing me! Cassie, who wrote our review of this vibe, thought that it was a “subtle yet elegant take on a lipstick vibrator“. As well as looking sleek with its smooth, black casing, it’s also nicely disguised as a lipstick case. Since it’s so compact, she thought it would make “a good little travel vibe“, too. The downside to such a quiet vibe is that, as you might expect, the intensity probably won’t knock your socks off. While Cassie wanted to love them, she said, “I just didn’t enjoy the vibrations. They were just a bit too mild for me“. For power queens, it may not satisfy, but if you like a slower build-up like me, this may not be an issue for you. Plus, the vibes are still very rumbly and deep.

There are lots of great things to mention about the Charged Positive vibrator, but I have to start off with that ingenious attachment! It slips over the bullet and acts as both a stand to keep it from rolling when charging, and as a finger cradle that allows you to grip it between two fingers like a finger vibrator. As someone who reads through a lot of sex toy reviews on a daily basis, I can tell you that one of the top issues people face is when the vibrations travel through the hand and up the arm. Plus, not everyone can comfortably hold a small bullet vibe, right? The little cradle attachment is a wonderfully simple addition, but I think it’s a real game-changer for those issues. And, of course, I can’t forget to mention the intensity of the Charged Positive! Edie, who tested it out, found that it had “so much power, it will absolutely blow your mind“. She adored the rumbly motor, and said that “on the lowest setting, this thing packs the most incredible punch“. However, be warned that this thing is not nearly as quiet as the Mia 2, but as Edie mentions, it “makes sense, considering the power“.
