The Climaximum Oryx offers decent power, quality, and luxury at a humble price. It includes a silicone anal plug and a battery-operated bullet. This vibrating anal plug is suitable for beginners and intermediate users alike.

Classy in Gold

The Climaximum Oryx reserves a special place in my toy box. It was the first pleasure item I ever purchased, and I’m grateful to have chosen such a gem as an introduction to self-pleasure. The fuchsia silicone and rose gold-tone bullet look like something fit for a black-tie-event. You know, if anal plugs were part of formal attire. And, oh, how I couldn’t stop caressing the velvety-soft silicone.

Vibing

I was pleasantly surprised by the bullet vibrator’s power, albeit intimidated. There are 10 vibration options (3 strengths and 7 patterns). The lowest strength was somewhat rumbly, but it became more buzzy as I moved up the scale. Some patterns had breaks in them (buzz_buzz_buzz), while others were continuous (buzzzbuzzz).

Testing, Testing!

I forwent the bullet during my first use. There was a satisfying stretch as the plug slid in, followed by fullness. It was lightweight and quickly adjusted to body temperature. The second time, I settled on a wave-like pattern. The vibrations were more evident in the base than in the shaft of the plug; but some modes did transfer well. I didn’t find it to be orgasm-inducing on its own. That being said, it did intensify clitoral sensation, kegel-flexing, and orgasm.

Power Struggle

Of course, there were some issues. My first bullet arrived with a stuck battery. It worked well, but it couldn’t be removed when it came time to replace. I called the distributor for a replacement bullet, which arrived without issue. I typically opt for using the plug without the bullet. The shape is just so perfect, and anal vibrations distract me from clitoral stimulation. Not to mention, the button on mine can be finicky. After about 6-months, I’ve begun having problems with the electrical circuit. I’ve solved this by dropping a piece of folded aluminum foil into the battery receptacle, then sliding the battery on-top. Voila!

The Climaximum Oryx is durable and elegantly designed. It has a bulbous shaft and 3.3 inches of insertable length. Spiral grooves and a tapered tip help the plug slide in comfortably, and the narrow neck doesn't stress the sphincters during prolonged wear. Most importantly, a 2.25 inch t-bar base ensures the plug doesn't get sucked into no-person's-land. The waterproof bullet has a pointed tip for precise stimulation, and the gold-tone finish is so classy.

It is easy to insert, keep in place, and clean. The shaft may not be tapered enough for first-timers, so insert it at your own pace. The bullet has a single button that is used to both power it on/off and filter through settings. Though the power button is coated in silicone, the beveled shape makes it difficult to operate with wet hands. There is, also, no tangible *click* to indicate that the button has been pressed. It can be hard to tell if it needs new batteries, is no longer working, or if you've just not pressed the button hard enough. This is a minor detail, but it definitely affects ease of use.

Climaximum Oryx -

The Climaximum Oryx is of impressive quality for the price. The materials, aesthetic presentation, and power all exceeded my expectations. The silicone feels silky, and the bullet has significant kick to it. Vibrations are pretty buzzy, and the circuitry may not have the best longevity. It does, however, feel pretty solid. As far as sound goes, it's similar to an electric shaver- but half as loud. If you wish to pleasure yourself incognito, enjoy it while playing music with some bass.

Thirty dollars is more than fair for this product. You're purchasing two products for the price of one, and the design rivals some luxury toys. I used a 50% off coupon at Adam and Eve, which felt like a steal. If I never use the bullet again, it'd still be worth getting for the silicone plug. The packaging may have been lackluster, but I didn't buy it for the box.

Climaximum Oryx -

I've used my Climaximum Oryx more than any other plug. It's the perfect size and shape for wearing around. The bulb nestles into just the right place, and the flexible base is so comfortable. As already mentioned, the button can be finicky. However, the bullet is decent and feels more satisfying underwater. Overall, it's a great go-to plug.

The packaging consisted of a small, disposable, cardboard box. A quality box feels wasteful to discard, but only serves to take up valuable space in my humble abode. If you prefer luxury packaging or a storage case, you'll be disappointed. The packaging is clearly-marked and displays a picture of the item enclosed. The graphics accurately portray the item inside.

The Climaximum Oryx is made of silicone and ABS plastic. It should be used with water-based, anal lubricant. Cleanse the toy before and after use. Here is how: Remove the bullet from the silicone portion. Wash the parts with comfortably hot water and a sex toy cleanser. Make sure to massage the soap into the grooves, neck, and hollows of the t-bar. Rinse. Allow it to dry thoroughly. Store in a clean, dry place.

Overall, I was very pleased with the Climaximum Oryx. if you're looking for an inexpensive vibrating anal plug, consider this option. These two-in-one options are especially ideal for beginners who aren't sure what lights their fire. If the size intimidates you, the Climaximum Pharos may be a more suitable alternative.

You should use a thick water-based anal lubricant. Remember to never use silicone lube with a silicone toy.

The tango is more powerful and rumbly than the bullet in the Oryx. The highest setting of the Oryx bullet is slightly stronger than the lowest setting of the Tango. That being said, the Tango is three-times more expensive.

The silicone is firm and very flexible. It's not squishy like the Oxballs Ergo, for example. But the neck will easily bend.

This likely varies with the brand of battery used. With a Duracell AAA, mine lasted much longer than 3 hours before stopping.

Always test your plug at home before wearing it out. The design should stay in place. Some may find the neck to be too short for their anatomy.
