The Dominix Deluxe Stainless Steel Medium Faux Fur Animal Tail Butt Plug is a stainless steel butt plug, featuring an adorable faux fur tail available in a handful of colors. The tail portion does remove to provide a quick clean up as well! Something I think is a key feature for butt plugs with fur, no one wants a sticky tail.
I have to admit, I was really excited to test the Dominix Deluxe Stainless Steel Medium Faux Fur Animal Tail Butt Plug. I’ll be honest, I’ve never owned a butt plug, so I was stoked to not have to take the plunge and purchase one myself. That little voice always “What if you don’t like it? It’s not like you can return a used butt plug”. So, the universe really did me a solid here.
Heads or Tails?
Okay even if you aren’t into pet play, we can all admit that a tail butt plug is super cute, right? Right. I don’t think you have to be into crawling around and meowing to enjoy a little bit of a tail from time to time, and I’ve learned I’m in the category of “I AGREE”. I was quite surprised at the weight of the plug in my hand after I removed it from the black satin storage bag and removed the protective paper around the actual plug end. 6 ounces doesn’t sound like a lot, but it’s quite hefty if we’re talking about beginner anal toys. However, once comfortably inserted (LUBE LUBE LUBE do not forget it) the weight was quite pleasant and not at all what I would consider ‘too much’, even as a beginner.There’s a Screw Loose
There was a noticeable lack of, well anything really accompanying the plug, so care and clean up was left up to what little common sense the company assumed I have. Imagine my surprise when I learned the tail itself UNSCREWS from the plug entirely. Almost giving you the option of an entirely new toy sans tail to play with, however I’m almost positive it’s only meant to be removed for cleaning, as the base of the plug under the tail attachment, while flat, features the screw holding the entire toy together. I’d imagine that wasn’t thought about from a clean up perspective which means , to me, it’s meant to be hidden during times of use via the tail attachment. But overall an excellent design choice to allow for clean up of the plug, and the tail separately.
The design of this tail is quite elegant looking. The stainless steel is very shiny, and it has a weight that is both comfortable and notably present when inserted as well. The tail portion does unscrew to make clean up easier, however the base of the plug is not flat, and you can see the screw that's holding the toy together. So while you can use it without the tail attached, it's just not as pretty.
The Dominix Deluxe Stainless Steel Medium Faux Fur Animal Tail Butt Plug is very easy to use! Just make sure you're using an appropriate amount of lubrication, insert, and you're good to go for a pounce or two, or three around the bedroom!
The quality for the plug, with the price point, is pretty hard to beat. It feels heavy, and well made in your hand, and the fur is soft, fluffy, and overall well put together. My only complaint as far as quality goes is I do wish the base of the plug when you remove the tail was polished. It looks very much as an afterthought and like "Oh no one is going to use this without the tail attached so who cares how it looks?" to me.
Coming in at $39.99 the Dominix Deluxe Stainless Steel Medium Faux Fur Animal Tail Butt Plug, to me, is worth the price! It's not the least expensive plug on the market. However, for a well made, stainless steel plug, you'd be hard pressed to find something better for cheaper.
Over all the performance of Dominix Deluxe Stainless Steel Medium Faux Fur Animal Tail Butt Plug lived up to all the reviews I checked prior to using it myself! I haven't had many experienced with anal play, but I will say this most certainly lends to a positive experience!
If you've read any of my other reviews, you know that packaging is usually where a company loses my favor (Maybe it's an adhd thing but I want to see something pretty before diving in), and I'll admit, this is no different. Other reviews of this plug mention being received in a black box, plug nestled inside like a long awaited Christmas present. I however, received it in a non descript plastic bag. Not much pretty or sexy about that. However inside the plastic bag, the plug itself was encased inside a black satin storage bag. To be honest, I probably would have been fine with that packaging if I didn't see in other reviews it previously came in a box. Maybe they're just cutting back for shipping or something...
This plug is made from body safe, non-porous stainless steel and faux fur. It's not technically water proof because of the tail, but it IS splash-proof. So safe for lube and some messier play. It's easy to care for, unscrew the tail portion, wash with soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner, dry and tuck it back into it's pretty storage bag!

Over all, the Dominix Deluxe Stainless Steel Medium Faux Fur Animal Tail Butt Plug is a fun and a little silly addition to anyone's collection, and it happens to feel pretty darn good too. Don't worry though, if you're into pet play, it's sure to make your kitty purr!
