The Love Hamma is hammer shaped vibrator designed for DIY pleasure or partnered role play. The vibrating head has two ends to play with, soft silicone rabbit like ears and a firm, flat base for more pressure. On top of that, the curved handle vibrates and thrusts for internal pleasure!

Love Hamma -

DIY disaster

I have to admit, I didn’t have the highest hopes for the Love Hamma, but I was drawn in by the novelty design. I mean who doesn’t crave a good hammering from time to time! Unfortunately, my fears were correct. The best thing about the Love Hamma was definitely its looks.

A spanner in the works…

I’m not sure if my Love Hamma was defective from the start, but the thrusting function started out very weak and then stopped working before I ever actually got to try it out! However, before it broke, as any good friend would, I made every visitor to my house look at my new tool and feel the different sensations and every reaction was the same — that’s not thrusting! When holding the Love Hamma in my hand, I would say it barely passed as pulsating.

Buzzkill

Never mind, I thought! There was still the vibrations in the head and shaft to play with. The head of the hammer has a flat side (the face) and a side with a claw. When I turned on the vibrations, just holding it in my hand, I could feel that they didn’t travel that well to either side as the motor is in the middle. I wasn’t impressed by the strength or quality of the vibrations and wasn’t that excited about testing them out at this point. Unfortunately, when I finally got around to actually testing the Love Hamma’s vibrations, it would lose charge within 30 seconds of it being turned on, even when I let it charge for the full 3 hours. After a couple attempts at charging it, I gave up, never having been able to test the vibrations or the thrusting. It was, in fact, not Hamma time for me.

So they really did hit the nail on the head with the overall look of the Love Hamma! It does look just like a Hammer! It's even the same size. If you are looking for a role play accessory or are more interested in the look than anything else, this is a really fun design. You can also buy a holster for it, which had I been more impressed with the toy, I absolutely would have bought the holster. The shaft is relatively thick, has some light textural details and is a little curved at the end to target your g-spot.

Love Hamma -

The buttons on the Love Hamma are pretty straight forward. You have one to control the vibrations in the head, one for the handle vibrations and one for the thrusting function in the handle. You do, however, have to cycle through the settings which is a bit annoying. Plus having so many functions can make it a little confusing.

Love Hamma -

When I first pulled the Love Hamma out the of the box, I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it felt. It has a pleasing weight to it and nothing seemed to rattle. However, the thrusting function stopped working and it can't hold a charge long enough for me to test the vibrations, so those first impressions did not last. This is the most disappointing sex toy experience I've had yet.

In my opinion, the Love Hamma is far too expensive for what it offers. Even when it did work, the vibrations are mediocre at best and the thrusting function felt underwhelming. I'm all for investing in quality sex toys, but in this case, I can't say this is a worthwhile investment.

Love Hamma -

Well I think you get the idea at this point! It's hard to judge the Love Hamma's performance when it won't perform!

Love Hamma -

The Love Hamma's packaging has a pretty basic design that didn't give me the same luxurious feel you get with other similarly priced toys. I thought it looked a little dated and could do with an update.

Love Hamma -

The Love Hamma is waterproof and made of silicone, so you can wash it with warm water and fragrance-free soap or sex toy cleaner. Make sure to let it dry thoroughly before storing it its pouch. You should also only use a water-based lube to prevent any damage to the silicone.

Love Hamma -

  • Fun design
  • Can be used for internal and external stimulation
  • Enjoy broad stimulation or rabbit ears on head
  • Long handle makes clit stimulation easy
  • Thick curved handle for g-spot or p-spot stimulation

  • Thrusting function broke
  • Won't hold charge to test vibrations
  • Vibrations are weak
  • Short battery life

Unfortunately I won't be whipping my hammer out for partnered play or DIY, as it neither of the main functions are working. This is most likely due to a defective product so I can't speak for the quality of a fully functional Love Hamma but I wasn't that impressed before mine broke. I would say save your cash and invest in a toy that prioritises pleasure over novelty!

As the Love Hamma is covered in silicone, you should only use water-based lubrication to protect the materials.

The Love Hamma doesn't come with a holster. You need to buy it separately.

Yes, the Love Hamma is waterproof.
