When it came to actually trying out this PulseSense™ technology, my heart dropped. I was so excited about the Lovense Tenera 2, I kept waiting and waiting for the stimulation to rock my world. At best, it was a gentle quake. I am usually a huge fan of clitoral suction toys. Apparently, I prefer a very intense suction sensation because my clitoris and I were not impressed with even the highest setting on the Tenera 2. I guess this product is more suitable for people who get easily overstimulated by suction toys.Has Anyone Seen My Suction Seal?
Part of why I didn’t find the suction sensation to be very intense was because I had a really hard time creating a suction seal around my clitoris. With all other clit suckers I’ve used in the past, this is a huge part of getting it right. Perhaps it was because of the shape of the suction nozzle or the flexible silicone it’s made of. I had such a hard time finding the right placement for the toy, since the lack of suction seal made it difficult to tune in to where the nozzle was on my vulva. This definitely made me think the Lovense Tenera 2 is a better option for people who haven’t enjoyed other types of clitoral suction toys before because they don’t actually enjoy the “suction” of it all.
This may just be my absolute favorite thing about the Lovense Tenera 2. I am such a sucker for anything with cute pastel colors and gradient designs. So I think this baby pink and baby blue combo is stunning! Alright, aesthetics aside, I really enjoyed the ergonomic design itself. The handle is comfortable to hold, the button placement is easily accessible, and the suction nozzle is a bit longer than average. This is especially nice for people in larger bodies as it provides more space between the toy itself and the suction seal.
The Lovense Tenera 2 was surprisingly easy to use. Once you’re aware of how the buttons work, they are super easy to operate. The same goes for the app control features! This may also be related to the overall design, but I had a hard time creating a suction seal around my clitoris when using the Lovense Tenera 2. There was quite a learning curve involved with figuring out how this toy could work for me.
I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the quality of the Lovense Tenera 2. It is without a doubt a high quality clit sucker made of 100% body-safe materials. I love that it is IPX7 waterproof and fully submersible and “self-cleaning”. Of course, one of the main attractions is the high tech nature of all Lovense products. The many different app controlled features also speak to the overall quality.
It’s no secret that the Lovense Tenera 2 is an expensive product. Most Lovense products are. Now. I’m all for splurging on a sex toy that’s gonna rock your world. But for me, this is a bit overpriced. I was just expecting a super powerful clit sucker, and I didn’t get that. So, while I appreciate all the other features that do help justify the high price range, I know there are other high quality clit suckers out there that pack more of a punch.
This is ultimately where the Lovense Tenera 2 let me down. I was so impressed with the design, the quality, and the app controls. Although, when it came to the actual PulseSense™ technology, my clitoris and I were unimpressed. Even the strongest setting was not enough to get me going, and it took a long time for me to build up towards an orgasm using a pattern and, ultimately, an insertable toy as well.
Again, with Lovense product packaging, you can immediately tell that you’re holding a high-quality sex toy. The packaging was simple, functional, and clean. Open the box to reveal the Tenera 2 cradled in white foam. Underneath, there’s a black satin-y storage bag, a magnetic charger, and an informational pamphlet with basic care instructions.
The Lovense Tenera 2 is coated in silky-smooth non-porous silicone. It’s 100% body-safe and IPX7 waterproof. To clean, Lovense recommends fully submerging it in water and turning it on the highest setting for a minute for “self-cleaning”. I also recommend adding a bit of mild, unscented soap to that water. Let dry completely and keep it safely away from dust and lint in the included storage bag!

I had a mixed experience with the Lovense Tenera 2. These are the things that didn’t quite work for me: I personally prefer more intense stimulation and even the highest setting here was not enough to build towards an orgasm on its own. I had a hard time creating a suction seal with the flexibility and overall shape of the suction nozzle. This made it difficult finding the right positioning around my clit (which is rare with a good and powerful suction nozzle). Now, what I did like about the Tenera 2 was the absolutely adorable gradient! I appreciate the ergonomic design of the body. It has a good handle, good button placement, and the nozzle is quite long which is nice for people with bigger bodies. The app controls are always a nice touch, although the music synching is quite delayed and not very precise. I think the ease of use is great considering the self-cleaning feature and storage bag, and it’s an overall high quality toy. For me and my needs, I think it’s overpriced - especially if I find myself having to use it with other toys to orgasm. For anyone who enjoys less intense stimulation and will use the app-controlled features regularly, I still think it’s a good option.
