This is a remote-controlled silicone vibrating egg attached to pull string. It has six vibration settings, and USB charges in an hour.

First Impressions

This vibrating egg on the surface was simple enough to use. I had to read the instructions to figure out the exact sequence of turning thing on (no pun intended), but eventually got the egg buzzing and could operate it from the remote. I decided I would use it vaginally first, so lathered it up in some lube and pushed it inside me.

Vaginal Experience

I’m someone who has never had a lot of vaginal sensation, so I have to say I wasn’t necessarily expecting much, but this was worse than I expected. It felt more like I had sat on my phone and someone was calling in than an actual vibration inside me. I tried to push it up and down to get more sensation, but this proved to be very difficult. Though the design of the “string” with the hook at the end was useful for pulling it out, because the string had no rigidity I struggled to push it further in. Instead of lying back and enjoying the sensation, I found myself struggling to push the egg further inside me, needing to sit up and work with both hands, which meant I couldn’t use the remote.

Other Uses

I tried playing with the toy as a clit vibrator, but again I found the vibrations too weak to bring much pleasure. I suspect this might be a good toy for beginner anal play as it’s small and the hook would make for easy removal, and though I don’t enjoy anal play myself and didn’t try this, again the weak vibrations might mean that someone loses interest quickly. This might be fun for partnered play, particularly with the remote-control option, or maybe to use to stimulate certain body parts on a partner, but the lack of intensity could again be an issue. I also feel like it would be quite easy to lose the controller in the heat of things and then have to spend ages searching the bed for it again.

Combined with other toys

I decided to combine this with one of my favourite clitoral suction toys, to see if having the egg inside me whilst stimulating my clit would give me a deeper orgasm and, sadly, it did not. The sensation and the vibration of the clitoral suction toy made it so that I couldn’t feel the egg inside me at all.

My main problem with the design is the lack of rigidity in the 'string'. It made it very difficult to move in and out of the vagina (and presumably the anus as well). The remote only has a single button to rotate through the settings – but if you have a while remote, why not just include different buttons for the different settings so you don't need to rotate through? It just felt like it wasn't totally thought through.

This kind of bleeds over from my design review, but it wasn't exactly easy to use. To turn it on you needed to hold a very tiny button on the egg until it lit up, but as the light was in the button itself, it was difficult to see the light underneath your finger. You then needed to turn on the controller, and rotate through the settings from there. This wouldn't be great for someone who is visually impaired or has limited dexterity. Once actually using the toy, the lack of rigidity in the string also make it practically difficult to use once it's inside the body.

The quality of material in general is quite good and it's also reasonably quiet, but that's because the vibrations aren't particularly strong.

This is a lot of money for such a simple toy, though I can see it seems to be regularly on offer.

It charged quickly, but otherwise I have to say that is was mostly disappointing. Not enough different vibration strengths and too many patterns, difficult to move around once inside, and no particularly interesting features.

The packaging was very plain and discreet, which I liked. The box wasn't much bigger than the toy, so not a lot of packing to throw out. It had a care manual and a use manual which I really wish would be combined, and they obviously need to include a lot of different languages, but I feel like I've had other manuals that do that in a way that make it easier to find the English guidance than this one did.

This is waterproof and easy to care for. I just used some toy cleaner, though I think you could just as easily use soap. It doesn't come with a storage container, but is small and compact and easy to story – and also comes with a travel lock, though that seems unnecessary as you need to turn on both the remote and egg to turn it on and I feel as if it's unlikely to manage to do both those things accidentally.

  • easy to clean
  • remote controlled

  • weak vibrations
  • difficult to move around once inside
  • high price

This egg isn't all it's cracked up to be... Though there are seven vibration settings, only two of them are different strengths (with the others being patterns), and the stronger setting is not very strong. I did think that, for some people who might have more vaginal sensation then me, this might be the kind of thing they enjoy leaving inside them and activating in boring meetings, but probably only if working from home as the pull-ring is quite bulky and I would worry about it falling out.
