A quaint, low-key handheld vibrator, the OhMiBod Rev Finger vibrator might be the perfect fit for someone seeking less pinpointed vibrations or has difficulty grasping other toys. Enveloped in body-safe silicone, waterproof, and USB-rechargeable, it’s an easy-to-care-for toy that you could easily take anywhere—especially within the cute travel pouch it comes with! While I don’t think this toy is suited for anyone looking for super strong vibrations, it can add a pleasant rumble to spice things up however you’d like it to.

Initial Thoughts

Immediately upon looking at the product, I thought it was a very cute—and rather unassuming—vibrator. The finger loops looked interesting; I have never owned a finger vibrator before, but based on the shape of the loop and the toy itself, it was intuitive to me to thread two fingers into the loop to hold the toy. That said, my hands are on the smaller side. While it didn’t start flying off of my fingers, it was still a looser fit in the sense that the loop would slide off of my fingers easily and cause the toy to shift out of position. The vibrations were not all that satisfying to me, either, but I’m fully aware that I tend to be a person that needs much stronger and much deeper/pinpointed vibrations. I didn’t go into this review with the highest of hopes for those two reasons, but each product deserves an honest test and a chance!

Things To Consider

As I mentioned above, finger size and palm size can either be an enemy or a friend with this product. My hands, fingers, and palms, are relatively thin and slim—there’s about a 0.5cm gap between where my fingers comfortably rest and the top of the loop, and a solid 1cm between my fingers themselves. As such, I have a pretty loose grip on the Rev. Vibration speed/intensity and patterns were also, to me, not anywhere near powerful enough for my preferences. For those of you out there looking for toys that are on the beginner-friendly or mild side with intensity, the Rev is a solid choice. But if you’re looking for toys built like industrial-grade power tools… it’s probably best to keep looking.

Closing Thoughts

For what it is, it’s not at all a “bad” or a low-quality vibrator. The Rev is quite robust and does well with splashes or short periods of time submerged. Easy to care for and to recharge, comes with a handy travel pouch, and does what it’s supposed to do: vibrate. It’s just not enough for me. But with that in mind, it could be someone else’s perfect toy! All things considered, I feel like it could make a good recommendation based on preferences.

Sleek and interesting to look at, the Rev could *potentially* pass as a cute little statement piece or kickback for unassuming eyes. Besides even if you were worried, its included pouch solves that issue. The body-safe silicone is soft, smooth, and easy to clean with warm water and mild soap, and there’s no nooks or crannies you would have to worry about bacteria getting stuck in. It’s got an easy to operate design - single button hold for power on, same button controls speeds or vibration types, hold again to turn it off. Not something uncommon in the sex toy world. The charging port however, is a WILDLY different story. For all of my waterproof/water resistant toys, they all are either magnetic port charged or they have a liftable flap of silicone that protects where you plug in the charging prong. Not the Rev—it has what looks like a flap, and I spent a ton of time trying to figure out how to lift it, only to finally take a second look at the user manual and see that you just… shove it in. Like, into the silicone. There’s no open hole, but there is a spot to guide you. I guess the silicone is designed to stretch and expand enough for the pin, but that was definitely not intuitive design from my perspective.

The toy itself is very easy to use: single button control, finger loops to help you hang onto it, and the duration of how long you hold the button determines if you’re turning it on/off or just cycli through different vibration patterns and speeds. This one’s suitable for mobility and/or grip issues, provided you have at least two fingers or similar digits to thread into the toy’s loop, but you don’t need to grasp it as firmly or as completely as other toys on the market. The hardest thing in my experience was just figuring out how to properly charge it, but if you took a closer look at the user manual (unlike me, who tried to intuition my way around it for a good 7 minutes) it’s not exactly an impossible task.

OhMiBod Rev -

The OhMiBod Rev does what it’s advertised to do and does it well. Even the packaging is well thought out! It feels sturdy, and could take a tumble or a fling across the room well. Not by any means a loud vibrator, but also not whisper quiet, so take that how you will. Overall a very robust toy. No visible or jagged seams, everything’s soft and smooth, and from packaging to product, the construction is solid, and the motor doesn’t heat up while in use.

Personally, I think the OhMiBod Rev is highly overpriced. It can be found on the market for about $65-75 USD. While it does come with a pouch and the standard charging cable, I can’t help but feel like this is a toy meant to be in a smaller ballpark for price. The quality is a great attribute for itself, but it’s just as solid as the more “budget friendly” brand toys that fall in the $20-40 range and performs about the same too in both purpose and strength. The finger loop design is nice, definitely, but unless this exact vibe was your only option, I personally would not recommend the Rev to you if price is something you consider heavily or if you’re on a budget.

For its relative ease of use and its durability, the Rev holds up pretty well. The motor is not overly loud (though, it’s not whisper quiet either if that’s something you wish to consider)and does not heat up at all while in use. With its smooth, soft silicone body, there isn’t anything that could catch unpleasantly onto your skin either, so that’s quite nice. I got about 2 hours of use time on the lower settings, and, in my experience, was fully charged in about 1.5 hours. Vibration-wise, it was a bit on the weaker end for me and my preferences.

The packaging for the OhMiBod Rev is adorable! The teal outer box acts as an outer sleeve for the inner box, with a cutout in the middle exposing the inner packaging’s patterned print and shaped like the silhouette of the toy. It displays the brand name and product name, but upon first glance it is not immediately telling of the contents. When you open it, everything feels very nicely engineered and things fit/slide snugly, with the charging cable tucked underneath the toy itself, and the manual for it being laid on top, flush in a custom-molded hard plastic shell. I personally loved it, and I found myself playing with the box for a bit after opening because it was so fun to open and close, haha!

The Rev is made of a body-safe silicone and there are no loose or removable parts, so in regards to the toy itself, you don’t have to worry about losing anything when cleaning or storing it. The toy itself is light, but sturdy and it has a decent heft to it without being tiring to hold weight-wise. It is advertised as waterproof, and held up to that claim when testing. I’d clean it with either a gentle soap, or a dedicated silicone-safe toy cleaner; overall, pretty easy to clean! It does *not* come with a storage bag or box, so after use, I just clean it and put it back in the original box once dry.

OhMiBod Rev -

  • Cute, sleek design
  • Waterproof
  • USB rechargeable

  • Not for smaller or thinner hands
  • Vibrations can be weaker than preferred
  • Charging port is a bit confusing at first

Overall, the OhMiBod Rev a solidly built toy, especially if you’re looking for something smaller, more discreet, and waterproof. If you’re okay with splurging a bit and getting 5 vibration speeds, then by all means, go for it—it’s a cute little vibe that does what is advertised. But for my personal preferences, and taking the price point & lack of storage bag into account, I personally would opt not to purchase this particular vibe.

An online manual and user guide for the OhMiBod Rev vibrator can be found here!

According to the manual, up to 200 days! It depends on how much of a charge you leave it on between uses.

It’ll naturally slow down in vibration speed. If that’s the case, simply plug it in and wait for it to fully charge before the next use.

Yes! The toy’s indicator will light up blue with a constant glow when on, and will blink when charging. When fully charged, it will appear steady.

Mild soap or a silicone toy-safe cleanser.

The toy comes with its own USB cable, so as long as you have a USB adapter or a laptop with a USB slot to plug it into, you’re good.
