How It All Started
There I was, browsing through the aisles of a familiar and friendly retail store when something caught my eye as I walked past the pharmacy. I had discovered the plusOne series of toys and picked one up on a whim. That was five years ago — the rest is history. This little vibrator has seen me at my lowest lows and the highest highs, if you catch my drift. If I’m traveling, I never leave home without it. As long as you make sure to discharge all of the power in it before packing it in your carry-on luggage or your personal bag, I’ve never had an issue with TSA.
My Impressions
Waterproof, rechargeable, and much quieter than my first battery-operated one, I love how easy and intuitive it is to use and how it feels to the hand. It comes with 10 different vibration patterns, ranging from a steady buzz in varying intensity to some intermittent rumbles with the occasional buzz in between. You can get some variety out of it, which I like. The more uses I can get out of one product, the better. I will say, it isn’t the strongest vibe out there even on its highest setting, and as someone that likes a lot of pressure and strong vibrations, sometimes the plusOne doesn’t quite hit the mark for me. That said, it makes a great accomplice to partner play or alongside other toys you might enjoy to help take you over the edge. It keeps me coming back to it, again and again, and shows no signs of quitting on me even after half a decade. I’d call that a good bang for your buck!
Overall, the plusOne mini massager is a pretty compact product. Smooth and curved, its shape is very organic and the base fits comfortably into the palm of my hand. It's wrapped in a body-safe silicone material, light, and sturdy enough to withstand some pressure. The internal mechanisms also have some give, so you don't have to worry about the toy being overly rigid. Thanks to the shape, it can also be comfortably inserted and worn. I personally never dealt with any discomfort while doing this, but if you're a little new to things, the base may feel large to you.
With its single-button design, operation was intuitive for me—press and hold to turn it on, press quickly to cycle through the different vibrations modes, and press and hold once more to turn it off. The power button lights up with a blue light to indicate that the toy is on, and will begin to blink as the toy runs out of battery. You'll also feel its vibrations grow a little bit weaker as it starts to run out of juice, so it never comes as a surprise.
If five years of use isn't enough to attest for the craftsmanship of this tiny little vibrator, I sure can. This thing has been dropped, flung, slammed, squeezed, shoved, jostled, soaked, and shook—not a scratch. The plusOne mini massager is like the Toyota Camry of vibrators: it's there for you, does the job, and never quits. Like I mentioned before, it's light, but don't let that fool you. Throughout the time I've owned mine, I never had to worry about it breaking or wearing out. Just charge it up every once in a while, and you're good to go. If it can handle traveling by air and survive the experience of being thrown around by various airports' ground crews and luggage carousels, it can definitely handle your rough play.
Coming in at about $30 USD, I would not say that it is the cheapest sex toy out there, but given the usual price ranges of quality toys and the sheer longevity/quality, $30 for the plusOne is an investment I would make over and over. My only other vibrator, a battery-operated bullet vibe that costed me $7 USD, packed a serious punch but quickly racked up costs in batteries and ceased being useable as its motor fried out. With that being said, I believe you get what you pay for and that this vibrator pays for itself. It comes with the toy, the charging cable, and a carrying pouch.
Quiet and varying between buzzing and rumbly, I enjoy cycling through the different patterns it boasts. The vibrating portion of the toy culminates in the narrower tip, which is great for focused play when you'd like to concentrate the vibrations on something specific. It lasts me about 1.5 weeks before needing a recharge. I've also never felt it become hot during use. Thanks to the shape, it can be comfortably inserted. I personally never dealt with any discomfort while doing this, but if you're a little new to things, the base may feel a little large to you.
You will find that the boxes display the brand, product name, and a few small blurbs of quick-glance information on the side, including battery type. The product itself is only suggested via silhouette on the front, and there is a colorful array of floral designs throughout. The front side of the box is also a flap that can be lifted up to see the toy inside behind some clear plastic, but it is not blatantly advertised as a toy for sexual pleasure. I found the packaging elegant and fun, and it gave me an indication of quality and care.
Cleaning it by running it under some water and rubbing it with whatever soap or toy cleaner you prefer. I would use water-based lube with this to ensure your lubricant does not compromise the material of the toy, and then place it back in its pouch when not in use. Plugging it in is also very simple; it comes with a single cable with a USB-A end and the magnetic end that connects to the port located on the bottom of the toy. To fully charge it, I've found that it takes about 2 hours depending on your power source.

Beginner friendly and easy to use, I think this is a good toy to try if you're just getting started with vibrators. It brings enough to the table to become a bedside favorite, even for the more experienced veterans, without being too overwhelming or too strong. Solid and reliable, I just wish it was a little bit stronger for my own preferences.
