  • Want an inexpensive masturbator
  • Like a toy with strong suction capabilities
  • Like a manual toy with some adjustability
  • Want a toy that feels extremely life-like

  • Want a toy that is completely quiet
  • Have difficulty grasping a toy, especially for an extended period
  • Want a powered toy

The Romp Dash is a manual male masturbator with a twist – literally. The cap at the top of the case twists open or closed to create suction during use. While the Romp Dash is manual, the suction feature works extremely well, taking pleasure to another level.

Out of the Box

Out of the box, the Romp Dash feels like a well-made toy. The case is made of a soft-touch ABS plastic  surface, and the sleeve of a super soft, body safe TPE. The case’s soft ABS surface felt good in my hands; however, it seemed like it may be a little too wide for holding during use, especially for any significant time. Included were a coupon for 15% off your next order (with email sign-up), stickers, safety instructions and a manual. The box itself seemed a bit cheap and flimsy.

First Impressions

I had been looking forward to taking the Romp Dash for its first test run, which indeed proved to be worth the wait. I twisted the cap fully open, lubed up and inserted my penis into the Romp Dash. Immediately I was impressed with the feel of the sleeve. It had the most life-like feel of any toy I own – a statement not to be taken lightly, as I own a plethora of toys. My second thought was how powerful the suction was, especially for a manual stroker. The suction is strongest with the cap completely closed. At that point, the suction was so powerful, I wasn’t able to stroke at the high speed I prefer. However, the trade-off, and a fair one, was how strongly the Romp Dash sucked! I found that a nice, long, slow and steady stroke, combined with the ample suction, created an incredible sensation that caused me to start to tremble in anticipation of an orgasm.

Trial Run #1

That first trial run was much more than I had anticipated. For starters, the super soft TPE sleeve feels very life-like. Secondly, while using the Romp Dash, the strokes themselves feel more like an actual sex partner than any of the many other masturbators I have previously used. Between the sleeve and the strokes, the Romp Dash is the closest I’ve come (literally and figuratively, toy-wise) to an actual live female partner. I experimented with different suction strengths by adjusting the cap from fully open to closed. Fully open, there was little to no resistance (suction-wise), and I could stroke my penis as fast as I wanted. Fully closed, I traded speed for an incredible suction – a trade-off I was happy to make. The suction power varied as I varied how far the cap was opened or closed, and I was able to create a pleasing array of sensations by slight adjustments to the cap.

Trial Run #2

The Romp Dash will certainly get you off, and will do so in incredible ways. Allow me to back that up by relaying the remainder of my trial run with the Romp Dash to you. During that trial run, I orgasmed twice, and it felt as if I was having sex with a partner. The feeling was incredible. And then, about 15-20 minutes later, the mood struck again, and I gave the Romp Dash a second go-round, during which I orgasmed three more times. The reason (I believe) for those five orgasms in such a short time is that the Romp Dash grabs your penis, sucks it in, and doesn’t want to let go. It tended to keep my penis hard, even post orgasm, due to the suction — so much so, that a second, and even a third orgasm were possible during that second go-round. I finished those trial runs completely drained, and completely satisfied (and happy) with the Romp Dash.

ROMP Dash -

The Romp Dash seems to be well made and designed. According to the Romp.Toys website, the case is made of an ABS and has a soft touch surface, and the inner sleeve is made of super soft, body safe TPE. I found that the sleeve feels more life-like than any of the many other toys that I have used. However, I found the case to be slightly wider than what would have been comfortable to hold for any duration. I needed to switch hands every so often while using it, as holding it created hand fatigue.

ROMP Dash -

The Romp Dash is a straightforward manual stroker that is no different than any manual; stroker, save the cap at the top of the case. That cap can be twisted to add suction to the overall experience. If you want to experience suction, simply twist the cap fully shut once you’ve inserted your penis. Fully open will mean little to no suction, and the user can take advantage of a variety of suction amounts anywhere between open and closed.

ROMP Dash -

The Romp Dash feels like a quality toy in your hand. Both the sleeve and outer case seem well made. The sleeve has openings at both ends, thereby allowing for easy cleaning. I did notice that when the cap is open, it does rattle, especially when fully opened – significantly so. It may be problematic for those who want a quiet toy, and especially if you aren’t expecting a manual stroker to be noisy. It is possible to place a finger(s) on top of the cap during use. Doing so will eliminate the noise; however, in the heat of the moment, you may neglect to keep your finger(s) on the cap.

The Romp Dash is well worth the price. At its price point, you are getting your money’s worth, and more. The sleeve feels realistic, the strokes come closer to imitating a live partner than any toy I’ve ever used, and by experimenting with the different settings of the cap, you can create different sensations.

ROMP Dash -

The Romp Dash website makes the proclamation “This thing really SUCKS”, and they are telling it like it is. It really does suck – to varying degrees, depending on how much you tighten the cap, and your personal preference. The Romp Dash truly lives up to its expectations, and in my experience, well beyond them.

ROMP Dash -

The Romp Dash comes in a box that is underwhelming. It feels as if it won’t last long, and will start falling apart, sooner than later. It does give you some minimal information, but overall, the box is nothing special. I’m sure the toy will long outlast the box.

ROMP Dash -

The Romp Dash weighs in at 1 pound, 3.3 ounces, and is almost 3 inches wide. At these measurements, it may become difficult to hold during an extended session for some people. The sleeve is made of TPE, the same material as a Fleshlight sleeve, and turns inside-out for easy cleaning. It should be cleaned with warm water and soap or toy cleaner.

ROMP Dash -

The Romp Dash has an adjustable cap on the top, which can be adjusted to create suction during use. Closing it completely will create a strong suction, while opening it all the way will eliminate most of the suction. Varying degrees of opened/closed will provide a variety of different sensations and levels of suction during use.

  • Strong suction feature
  • Feels life-like
  • Easy to clean

  • Case may be too wide to hold comfortably
  • Cap rattles during use

Don’t let the fact that the Romp Dash is a manual stroker fool you – this is a toy that delivers. With a simple twist – or a few, the Romp Dash offers multiple variations of sensations, leading to multiple orgasms. In fact, I have come (pun intended) to find that the Romp Dash delivers more and better sensations and orgasms than many of the powered masturbators that are sitting on my shelf. Mind you, it’s not that I dislike them – it’s simply that I prefer the Romp Dash to the majority of them. And to cut to the chase – none of the toys sitting on my shelf have given me five orgasms in two back-to-back sessions like the Romp Dash has. At the reasonable price of $35, considering what it can do, and how damn good it feels doing it, I really don’t think you can go wrong with the Romp Dash. I would have given the Romp Dash a five star rating, were it not for the noisy cap and the hand fatigue I experienced while using it.

There is a manual, or “Quick Start Guide” included with the Romp Dash. An online copy is also available at the Romp.toys website.

Per the Romp.Toy website, you should use only water based lube.

The sleeve is made of super soft, body safe TPE.

The suction feature on the Romp Dash works extremely well. You can achieve varied degrees of suction power by twisting the cap to varying degrees of opened or closed.
