Perception and Performance

Upon viewing the Satisfyer Breathless, I was reminded of the age-old marketing technique: “shrink it and pink it!” Coating a product in bubblegum-pink silicone can feel like a lazy attempt to appeal to women’s wallets, without putting in effort to actually learn what works. However, the performance of this toy left me- well, breathless! The clitoral beats pulsate with a rapid, flappy undertone and a slow, thumpy overtone. This results in a polyrhythmic effect, which is simply divine. Pulses become slightly deeper, and more impactful underwater. The vibrations are powerful but the buzziest I’ve ever experienced, even on the lowest intensity.  I found this to be distracting and garnered most pleasure during suction-only sessions. The gentle waves softly rippled through the clitoral nerve, and left me with a euphoric climax. It was a peaceful, body-warming orgasm. I’d never had one quite like it. This juxtaposed the back-arching climaxes imparted by the Satisfyer Pro 2, but in a beautiful way.

Confounding Controls

I always read the user manual before testing a product, but this was especially important for the Satisfyer Breathless. The toy is advertised with the nozzle facing upwards, and the graphic of the power-button has the switch line oriented towards the suction nozzle. A wave graphic is located beneath the power icon with the base of the curve opposite to the power switch (I’ve included a picture in the “Ease of Use,” section). This leaves the user to infer that buttons towards the nozzle would be “up”, and buttons towards the charging location would be “down.” Instead, the middle power button increases suction intensity, and the highest button decreases it. Why? I don’t know, but there’s no estimating how long I would’ve studied this toy before unlocking these secrets.

Customer Service

There was some information I couldn’t find in the user manual, online, or through testing the product. I called Adam & Eve’s customer service hotline, and they were very helpful. I measured the nozzle’s diameter at 0.75-inches. They verified this measurement. Additionally, holding the power button for 10 seconds is supposed to initiate travel lock; this never worked for me. Most Satisfyer products come with a 15-year warranty. However, according to Adam & Eve, this particular product only has a 5 year-warranty. This is more than sufficient, but should still be noted.

If Barbie were to design a pleasure device, this would be it. The shade of pink silicone is unique to this particular Satisfyer product, and a metallic finish upgrades the ABS plastic from bland to glam. Although pink isn't a color I gravitate towards, it certainly fits the Barbie aesthetic. It's compact, measuring only 5.5x1.75-inches; and the curved body feels more ergonomic than that of some competitors. Most importantly, the clitoral opening has a 0.75-inch diameter to accommodate most anatomies. While the nozzle isn't detachable, it's gaping enough to be easily purged of lubricant and cleaned.

This toy requires very little effort to bring the user pleasure; suction does 99% of the labor. The silicone has enough friction to prevent slipping, and the nozzle holds ample lubricant. That being said, the controls are located on the underside of the toy. This is opposite of the thumb's position during use, which can make operation feel a little awkward. As mentioned in the "Personal Experience," section, these buttons are also arranged counterintuitively. While this was confusing at first, it only took a couple of uses to get over the learning curve.

The devil is in the details, and Satisfyer paid great attention to detail when engineering the Breathless. This toy feels durable and high-quality. Seamless silicone protects hardware during submersion, and I have no fears while enjoying in the tub. The suction motor is whisper-quiet, while the vibrator is more silent than average. Both perform reliably, much longer than advertised. The buzzy vibrations is the only negative feature about this product. From the bright pink indicator light to the metallic ABS plastic, quality was elevated every step of the way.

The Satisfyer Breathless retails for $69.99 on Adam & Eve. This is comparable to other Satisfyer air pulse toys, and it's well worth the pleasure experienced. However, Satisfyer manufactures stronger, more versatile suction toys for less. For example, the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 retails for only $59.99; it offers 12 vibration patterns, 11 pulse modes, and a liquid air nozzle. The Pro 2 Generation 3 is more bulky, but it offers more power and the buttons are more intuitive. Not to mention, it's Bluetooth compatible. So, while the Satisfyer Breathless is worth the price, I advise weighing the options available.

Satisfyer Breathless -

The Satisfyer Breathless performed gently and efficiently. It's advertised as taking up to 2-hours to charge, with a battery life of up to 60-minutes. Since I gravitated towards suction-only use, the battery lasted much longer- 4-hours and 36-minutes, to be exact. It performed for 1-hour and 36-minutes with vibrations and suction on the highest settings. I tested this multiple times with similar results; and, after hours of constant testing, the silicone was only slightly warm. The magnetic charger became dislodged at times. However, while un-interrupted, it only took 42-minutes to fully charge.

Satisfyer Breathless -

The Satisfyer Breathless arrived in a box almost as compact as the toy. Simple graphics accurately depicted the product within, while clear bullet points concisely directed use. This packaging was cute, but too flimsy for long-term storage. It included the toy, a USB charger, and a user manual. There's no travel pouch, so remember to store silicone toys apart. Tamper evident stickers bordered the opening flaps, which I felt was sufficient for this particular type of packaging. The adhesive tore the graphics as I peeled back the stickers. If one wishes to keep their packaging intact, slit the tape instead.

Satisfyer Breathless -

The Satisfyer Breathless is composed of body-safe silicone and ABS plastic. As with all silicone toys, it should only be used with water based lubricant. I'd advise a thin-medium viscosity lubricant, like Sliquid Sassy. Clean before and after use with a mild, liquid soap (or sex toy cleaner) and comfortably hot water. Dry with a lint-free cloth before storing. To charge, simply attach the magnetic charger prongs to contact points and plug into a USB receptacle. An indicator light will flash while charging, and become solid once charging is complete. The first charging session may take up to 4 hours.

Barbiecore is all the rage right now, and Satisfyer got the memo. While pink isn't a color I tend to gravitate towards, this toy certainly did leave me breathless. The pulsations were powerful enough to effectively stimulate my clitoris, while gentle enough to avoid numbness. The vibrations were very buzzy, but easily switched off. While most Satisfyer toys come with a 15-year warranty, the Breathless downgrades to only a 5-year warranty. However, it's durable, quiet, and outperformed my every expectation. It's perfect for those who enjoy gentle clitoral stimulation, especially beginners and those with hypersensitivity. I definitely advise checking out Satisfyer's other products for more powerful, affordable, or technologically advanced options.

How to Use Air Stimulation
  1. Hold the middle power button for 5 seconds to power on.
  2. Press the middle power button to increase stimulation and the top button to decrease stimulation.
  3. Hold the middle power button for 5 seconds to power off.
How to Use Vibrations
  1. Hold the bottom wave button for 5 seconds to activate vibrations.
  2. Press to change vibration modes.
  3. Hold the wave button for 5 seconds to deactivate vibrations.

No. It only comes with a USB charger and user manual.

Adam & Eve's customer service said that holding the center power button for 10 seconds should activate travel lock. This didn't work for my toy. I'm still unable to activate travel lock.

Yes. While most Satisfyer products come with a 15-year warranty, the Satisfyer Breathless comes with a 5-year warranty.

Yes! This would be the perfect toy for a first-timer. It's gentle, requires little to no effort from the user, and can prevent overstimulation.

The Satisfyer Breathless has a suction and vibration motor, while the Pro only offers suction. The suction of the Pro is about twice the power of the Breathless, but the Pro is significantly more bulky.
