The Strict Leather Three Layer Slapper is a fairly self-explanatory spanking tool. It's made from three layers of real leather (one 9.5 inches, one 11.5 inches and one 12.5 inches long), joined together with metal rivets. One side of the leather is smooth and shiny, while the other side has a softer, suede texture. There is also a wrist loop attached to the handle-end.
While I’ve known for a long time that I enjoy spanking and impact play, it took me ages to pluck up the courage to use some actual spanking tools. I was a bit afraid that the needle would move too far from pleasure to discomfort, but this Strict Leather Slapper has taught me that that threshold is much higher that I previously thought.
Starting Off with Sensory Play
The first time I asked my partner to use the Slapper, it was after he had been away for a weekend without me, and so we were ready for some fun times together! I had already tested it out alone on my hands and thighs, but I was excited to know what it felt like in his hands. To my surprise, he started out by gently dragging it across my skin and even along my clit and vulva — the anticipation really drove me wild! As we got more into it, my partner would punctuate the skin grazing with a slap or two, concentrating on the butt and thighs. I could feel that he was switching between the two sides of the slapper — the 3-ply side stings more, especially at the tip, while the softer, suede side feels powerful but a bit more thuddy. The feeling was much more than I’m used to from regular hand-slapping, but I was surprised at how pleasurable I found the pain. I even asked my partner to go harder a few times, as it was his first time too and I think he was a bit afraid to go too far.
I love the look of the Strict Leather Three Layer Slapper. It's simple but not cheap-looking, and the black leather has such a seductive aura to it. It also feels nice to hold — sturdy and weighty, but not overly heavy or bulky.
Like any impact tool, this slapper does take a bit of practice to master. I highly recommend trying it out on yourself first, on a meaty part of your body like the thighs, so you can learn what it feels like and how hard to swing it. Once you've done that, however, it's simple to get on with, and my fairly inexperienced partner got on great with it. The one big issue I have is the handle, which is not so practical to hold. Some people may prefer another tool with a rounded, more ergonomic handle.
This toy seems to be very well-made. The leather is strong but supple, and there are no loose rivets. The wrist loop could be a little nicer, but it's a very minor part of the overall tool.
You can find the Three Layer Slapper for around $35, which is around the same price that most, similar tools can be found for. I think it's very reasonable, and a fantastic investment if you want to move on from a more basic spanking paddle or just enjoy more intense impact play.
There weren't so many online reviews available for me to read prior to receiving the Strict Leather Slapper, but the few I did find were very positive. This tool absolutely delivered on its promises of stinging, satisfying slaps, and creates some tantalizing slapping sounds, too.
This is the one area where I felt a bit let down. I would have loved a nice presentation box, or even just a reusable storage pouch to keep it in. However, all you get is a clear plastic bag, which is pretty underwhelming.
Since this toy is made from real leather, you should avoid getting it wet. Sometimes, that can't be completely avoided during the course of play, but you should stay away from applying lube or other substances directly to the leather. If you need to clean it after use, wipe it down with a clean, damp cloth, and then thoroughly dry it off. I also recommend applying some leather conditioner every so often to keep the material soft and flexible.

It's a versatile, sturdy and beautiful piece of equipment that delivered stinging slaps as well as teasing touches, and I was surprised by how much I loved it. I do wish that a bit more care had be taken in designing the handle, but it didn't really impede our play at all.
