- Are looking for sex position inspiration
- Struggle to learn new positions without visual and written instructions
- Like the idea of trying out new things with your partner
- Are not in a heterosexual relationship
- Have physical limitations that would stop you from trying most positions
- Are looking for a very cheap set of sex position cards
The Tracey Cox Supersex Sex Position Card Deck is a set of 50 large cards, each with a different sex position for you to try. They're split up into 10 different categories, mostly depending on the results you're looking for. Each one has the name of the position, a photo of a couple in the position, a description of how to get into it, why you might want to try it, and a tip for how to change it up and potentially get more out of it.
The Tracey Cox Sex Position Card Deck wasn’t something I was immediately drawn to, but I was pleasantly surprised once I opened it up! The cards really explain things well, and the large format, while it does have a bit of a ‘kid’s flashcards’ look, makes everything easier to see when the card is on the bed next to you. As my partner and I browsed through the positions on the various cards, I definitely felt inspiration strike.
Hit Or Miss?
Some positions do feel achievable and fun to try, while others seem so implausible that I wonder how anyone who isn’t a full-time gym bro could hope to do them! I definitely recommend looking through the whole deck and ignoring the categories first time around, as there are quite a few that I think would enjoyable whether I’m looking to ‘give her a clitoral orgasm’ or ‘make him last longer’. On the other hand, if I was looking for realistic positions for a quickie, I’m not sure I would go for any of the ones they suggest — getting into a bridge position while supporting your partner’s full weight, anyone?Straight Couples Only
It’s nothing new after reviewing several different sexy games, but I was still disappointed to learn that this whole deck of cards only mentions positions for heterosexual couples. Or, that is, couples where one partner has a vulva and the other has a penis. How hard would it have been to switch out some of the photos for gay or lesbian couples, or to include some guidance on how to adapt the position for a same-sex couple? They could have at least included a category of positions for queer couples. It really bugs me how heteronormative these kinds of games are!
Despite the 'children's flashcards' vibe, I quite like the design of these cards. They're sturdy and shiny, and the photos and text are very clear, even when you're in the middle of things. Like other products from the Tracey Cox range, they have a big black and hot pink aesthetic going on, which is not my favorite, but at least the design is still fairly classy.
Of course, the ease of use will depend a lot on the position you pick! However, I like that they have both visual and written instructions for you to follow, along with an explanation of what it is supposed to focus on, so you can readjust yourself if, for example, your clit is not being stimulated in the way its supposed to be. However, some of these positions get quite complicated or physically demanding, so if you don't think you're going to be able to do a lot of them, you might prefer to give this set a miss and just look up a couple of positions online.
I was really expecting these to be of a lower quality than what I received! The box is very nice and sturdy, and the cards seem like they'll last a long time! This is no cheap deck of playing cards — there's definitely been a good amount of thought that's gone into their design and manufacturing.
At $20, this is not the cheapest method of finding new sex positions to explore. However, most other, cheaper sets, don't have the same level of detail and explanation that the Tracey Cox deck does. Most have illustrations rather than photos, which look nice, but can be less clear than looking at two actual people. If you feel like you're interested in exploring new positions again and again with your partner, I would definitely recommend checking them out.
These cards aren't going to be something we break out every time, but I don't doubt that they'll make an appearance now and then when we feel like switching things up. I was especially curious about trying out some of the 'We're different sizes' cards, since there is a bit of a height difference between my partner and I, and we've struggled a bit with that in the past.
The box that these cards come in is pretty nice! Made from thick cardboard, it has a lid that slides on and off with a satisfying noise, and keeps the cards well protected. It does say "hot sex deck" on the front with a photo of a couple having sex, so it's certainly not discreet, but it's still small enough that it could sit in a nightstand drawer until you're ready to play.
Both the cards and the box are made from printed cardboard. Although they're nice and shiny and sturdy, they aren't waterproof, and you should take care not to get them wet! However, small amounts should be easy to wipe off quickly.

- Clear photos and written instructions
- 10 different categories to help you find the perfect position
- Lots of variety in terms of difficulty
- Excludes non-heterosexual couples
- Some of the categories are very specific and might not get used
- Some positions are just impractical!
These cards don't have a 100% hit rate, but they are a really nice item to have in your sexy toolbox! Packaged in a lovely, sturdy box, each large, glossy card has everything you need to attempt some new sex positions with your partner. There's a whole range of difficulty levels, and while I don't think I'll be attempting the more... athletic poses, my partner and I did feel both inspired and amused looking through them all.
