Trouble in Paradise

Unfortunately, this little vibe was glitchy straight out of the package. While it initially turned on, it failed to connect to the We-Vibe App. I followed the directions, tried resetting the vibrator, and repeated the process a dozen times; none of the troubleshooting suggestions solved my dilemma. I contacted support and was advised to wait 3-5 days for a response. Two days later, I was watching tv and heard three buzzes from across the room. The We-Vibe Sync Go had just randomly connected to the app. I don’t understand why, but hey! It was connected!

Sparks Lost

After about 15 minutes of using the vibrator, it stopped working on every app function accept “Touch Mode.” I disconnected. Not only would it not reconnect, but it wouldn’t work manually, either. After resetting the toy twice, it still failed to power on despite having 36% of battery life. It worked intermittently during the following days, and the glitches seemed triggered by the We-Vibe App.

Cherry Waves

Without the app, the We-Vibe Sync Go offers 10 vibration modes: Low, Medium, High, Ultra, Pulse, Wave, Echo, Tide, Crest, and Surf. These modes vary in power, with the lowest settings proving the rumbliest. While none of the settings were enough to bring me to climax on their own, I found the gentlest selection to be delightfully stimulating.

The Belated Cavalry

I’d contacted customer service on May 20th, and they responded on May 28th. This was a long time to wait for assistance. It would have been very frustrating had the toy malfunctioned in the throes of passion, but I digress. Their response simply repeated everything I’d already found and said I’d tried in my original report. Obviously, none of it worked. Since their customer support was through email, responding would have incurred another waiting period. This was a very inefficient way to communicate and support customers. At the end of the day, I think it’s safe to say that my toy has kicked the bucket.

The We-Vibe Sync Go is like a tiny teal boomerang. The sleek silicone feels silky against the skin, and oceanic coloring inspires exploration. Embossed waves texturize each contact point for sensual sensations. Similar characteristics ripple through the wave-marked power button and contoured charging nodes. The tangible "We-Vibe" logo adds the final touch to this simple design. Overall, the petite frame is cute and unintimidating!

When functional, the manual operation of this couple's vibrator is quite simple. A single button powers the toy on/off and filters through vibration modes. It's easy enough to operate for arthritic users, and a memory chip saves the last vibe pattern used. However, the glitchy app and motor failure significantly impeded use. While it remained in place during solo play, it wandered during penetration. Not to mention, the shape may not perfectly target every user's clitoris or G-spot.

On paper, this couple's vibe seems indestructible. It has an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it should survive being submerged in up to 3 feet of water for 30 minutes. The silicone is completely odorless, and charging contacts are made of anti-corrosive, nickel-plated iron. We-Vibe claims that, "all We-Vibe products are designed to last for hundreds of charges and many years of enjoyment." All that said, my specific product had pitted silicone and was starting to split at the seam. This is something I'd expect from a cheap, old vibrator, not a high-end toy straight out of the box.

The Sync GO retails for $99 on We-Vibe.com. This makes it the second least expensive couple's vibrator on their website. It comes with a product manual, quick-start user guide, USB cable, travel case, and the vibrator. It's is compatible with the We-Vibe App and is protected by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty. This would have been a good value, had the product performed. Since it failed, I don't think it's worth it.

I've already mentioned the ways in which this product failed to perform. There are, however, some positive things to say. The We-Vibe Sync Go is powered by a rechargeable, Lithium Polymer battery; this type of battery is safer, holds a charge longer, and has a greater longevity than standard Lithium-Ion batteries. It offered 2.6 hours of playtime on the lowest setting, and 1.5 hours on Ultra Mode. It took 90 minutes to recharge. These tests achieved the advertised standards.

This little vibe arrived in a package almost as tiny as the product. Soft teal converged with delicate, yellow waves and conveyed energetic play. The simple font was easy to read, and the graphic realistically portrayed the We-Vibe Sync Go. The lid was securely closed with some tamper evident tape, and a plastic travel case protected the product. Overall, it was cute and functional!

As mentioned, the Sync Go is coated in silicone. It should only be used with water-based lubricant. Wash before and after each use with warm water and premium cleanser. Dry with a lint-free cloth. Never boil or sterilize battery-operated toys in the dishwasher. Protect it from extreme temperatures, and charge using the magnetic USB cable. The indicator light will blink as the battery charges and turn solid once fully charged.

The We-Vibe App is a creative playground for sensual celebrations. Chat, Video Calling, and remote-control features break barriers for long distance lovers. Customize vibes and save saucy patterns to a playlist; or, harmonize your pleasure with your favorite music using “Beat Mode!” Each vibrating arm can be adjusted individually for your perfect treat. As mentioned, these functions failed during my trials. Whether the app or the product was to blame, who knows? But it was lovely while it lasted! You can enjoy the We‑Vibe App on devices running iOS (11 or newer) or Android (7 or newer) with Bluetooth LE (Bluetooth 4.0). The app is not compatible with smartwatches, PC or Mac.

  • Flexible fit
  • One-button control
  • We-Vibe App compatible
  • Dual stimulation
  • IPX7 Waterproof
  • Memory chip saves manual setting

  • Glitchy We-Vibe App
  • Mid-strength vibrations
  • May not work for all anatomies
  • Could be more rumbly
  • Questionable silicone quality

The We-Vibe Sync Go was a minefield of errors. When the product worked, the rumbly vibrations were a delight. The We-Vibe App features enhanced user experience, and I especially loved vibing to music using "Beat Mode." However, it only connected once before ceasing to function. The app was glitchy, and the product had pitted silicone upon arrival. While the design fit comfortably, a vibrator that doesn't work isn't suited for anybody. Not to mention, customer support won't be much help if something goes wrong.
