The RockHer is a couples' scissoring and tribbing vibrator, created by the lesbian-run sex toy company Wet For Her. It is made of 100% medical grade silicone, has 10 vibration settings, and includes a remote control. This toy is unique and versatile, as it can be used in a range of positions and is flexible to fit bodies of various shapes and sizes. It can be used with the bulb inserted for g spot stimulation while the outer loop provides clitoral stimulation and light labia spreading or it can be reversed for a larger external vibration surface while the loop holds the toy in place.

Scissoring Experience

I have tried scissoring fewer than five times in my life and definitely fall into the camp of thinking that scissoring mainly shows up in lesbian porn made for straight men, rather than actual queer sex (even I know in theory that lots of folks actually scissor regularly). I was excited to try out the RockHer and hoped that it would add a new category of sex to my repertoire, but unfortunately it didn’t. My partner and I tried out various positions with both of us alternating wearing the RockHer with the bulb inserted and on the outside. We tried what I think of as the “classic” scissoring position — both of us reclining, legs spread, and scooting toward each other from opposite directions. Our bodies are very different sizes and did not fit together in this position anywhere close enough to make genital contact, even with the bulb on the outside. We also tried one of us on our backs, the other between the legs and sitting up, as well as both of us sitting up. We had the RockHer turned on the whole time and while we giggled a lot and enjoyed experimenting, there was very little physical pleasure for either of us in any of the positions.

Other Positions

A semi-successful position for us was me wearing the RockHer with the bulb inserted and rubbing against my partner’s thigh. It felt good, but was nowhere near strong enough to get me off and it also requires being able to be on your knees for a while and use some core strength. Another position we love is my partner sitting between my legs, their back against my chest, while we both masturbate. The RockHer was perfect for having a hands free vibrator option that stayed in place and didn’t need to be adjusted, but it was not strong enough to get me off while we were in that position. My favorite use was as a hands-free vibe with me on my back and my partner using their fingers on my clit. It was really nice that we could have vibe assistance but neither of us had to hold anything. I also kept the remote control nearby so I could turn it off quickly when I was done.

Use as a Solo Vibe

I felt similarly when I used the RockHer on my own as I did with my partner in terms of its power as a vibrator. It was fun and felt good, but was not powerful enough on its own to get me off. I tried it with the bulb inserted and then used one of my favorite dildos at the same time. The dildo pushed the RockHer bulb even closer against my g-spot, which felt great, and then I added one of my favorite vibes to get off.  I would definitely use it again for some solo foreplay. If your urethra is particularly sensitive in an unpleasant way, I wouldn’t recommend using an additional dildo or vibrator with it because it increased pressure there as well.

The silicone is soft and feels high quality and durable. The bulb is a good size for a feeling of fullness and keeping the toy in place, while also being easy to insert. The loop is sturdy enough to mostly stay in place around the clitoris and flexible enough for the angle between the loop and bulb to fit a range of body shapes and sizes. Inserting the loop and using it with the bulb outside is slightly more challenging and required a few tries to figure out how to get it in and keep it in place. It does not stay firmly in this position with any kind of vigorous motion.

The RockHer turns on and changes settings with a single push of the button on the toy or the remote control. It turns off with a long press on either button as well. The button on the remote control is much larger than the one on the toy, and may be preferable for folks with grip and mobility issues. It does not have up and down buttons, so you need to either cycle through all 10 settings or turn it off and back on in order to get to the beginning. Some up and down buttons on the remote control would be a nice addition. It is truly hands-free once inserted, which may be helpful if you have trouble holding something in place or reaching between your legs. It can take some time to figure out how to put it exactly in the right place for your body and also to find positions that work for you and your partner.

The RockHer itself feels solid, durable, and high quality. The silicone is soft with nice texture and firmness. The remote is plastic and the button press is a little clunky, so that part of the toy feels a little cheaper. It is on the quieter side of vibrating toys even on its highest setting, but the vibrations are also only medium powerful.

If you love scissoring and enjoy buzzy vibration, this toy would 100% be worth adding to your collection and may become a favorite. The price is decent for a silicone couples' vibrator and even if you don't use it for scissoring, it's a good choice to consider for an insertable hands free vibe.

Because scissoring doesn’t really work for my partner and me, I can’t speak to if this toy is a mind blowing addition to your scissoring game. It definitely holds up to its promises in terms of versatility and fitting a wide range of bodies. It claims to be a high powered vibrator, but at its highest setting I would rate it as medium strength. A charge only lasts about an hour and it needs about an hour to recharge, so definitely plan accordingly. I enjoy the labia spreading of the loop. Know that it spreads the inner labia more than the outer labia and will definitely function differently on different labia shapes and sizes.

The design of the packaging was pleasing and fun to open. The white charging cord looks good with the light purple silicone. Wet for Her threw in a postcard with a discount code that was cute, cheeky, and color coordinated with the vibrator. The instructions on the box were minimal and there's no manual included, but the videos and instructions on the Wet for Her website are helpful and thorough.

The RockHer is covered in 100% medical grade, body-safe silicone. It is water resistant for cleaning and use in the shower, but should not be submerged as there is a small hole for the charging cable. It should be used with water-based lube and cleaned with soap and water or a sex toy cleaner. It should never be boiled or cleaned in a dishwasher.

A special feature of the RockHer is its remote, which lets you change the setting once inserted.  It also lets you turn it off as soon as you are finished, so if you are someone who gets sensitive quickly and you don’t want to have to reach down and pull the toy out immediately, having the remote nearby is a huge plus. Also, as far as I can tell, this is the only couples’ vibrator on the market made specifically for scissoring. Wet for Her is an incredible sex toy company that brands itself as selling lesbian sex toys made and designed by lesbians, filling an important niche in the sex toy market. I have other Wet for Her toys in my collection and they tend to be some of my favorites. Although Wet for Her uses the words lesbians and women frequently in its marketing, it also talks about the toys being for the LBTQ+ community (yes, omission of the G is intentional) and has a section called “transgender gear” on its site.  It’s important to note that some transmasc and non-binary folks, who may enjoy many of its toys, may find the branding and marketing somewhat dysphoric, including the name and color of the RockHer.

  • Soft, high-quality silicone coated toy
  • Easy to clean and water resistant
  • Can be used in many positions
  • Flexible to fit a range of bodies
  • Remote control

  • Medium strength vibrations
  • Only comes in purple
  • Limited use if scissoring doesn't work for you

I had high hopes that this toy would make me love scissoring and while it did not, I'm still glad to add it to my collection. It's fun that my partner and I can use it in a variety of positions and that it inspired some creativity. I'm certainly glad it exists, since it is the only toy of its kind, and I would for sure recommend buying it (sooner rather than later) if you're someone who already loves scissoring. Even though it won't join the collection of toys that lives in my nightstand, I will for sure be using it again, both with my partner and on my own.

While it is branded and marketed for lesbian couples, anyone with a vagina could use the RockHer as either a couples' or solo toy. If you and your partner both have vaginas and want to use it at the same time, consider buying the duo pack!

The RockHer is designed for scissoring, so use it with a partner with you both reclining, one reclining and one sitting up, or both sitting up facing each other. It can also be used to rub against other parts of your partner's body including thighs, knees, butt, etc. Experiment with various positions and use it during oral sex or manual stimulation.

Use a water-based lube, both on the bulb for insertion and on the loop for increased slipperiness in various positions.

After each use, wash the toy with soap and water or a sex toy cleaner. It is splash proof but not waterproof so don't submerge the RockHer. You should never boil it or put it in the dishwasher, either. You may want to clean the button on the remote periodically as well, but do this carefully and just wipe the surface.

Absolutely not! Try it on your own to supplement masturbating with your fingers or other toys. Wear it while you grind against a pillow or your hand. Get creative and experiment!
