Womanizer OG — Test & Review

At first glance, this toy is a device that is designed to stimulate the g-spot simply with the curve of the toy. While the shaft curve hit my G-spot, it wasn’t unique, especially given that it doesn’t work as advertised. It’s a rather long toy at nearly 7 inches long. The length of the Womanizer OG should have been a redeeming quality, but instead, the suction opening is on the foremost part of the shaft. If you want to use the Womanizer OG for G-spot stimulation as designed, the toy only goes an inch or two into the vagina to reach the G-spot.

Womanizer toys vary with ease of use (think: Duo, with its complicated buttons and specific design, or the Womanizer Premium, which operates with two simple controls). The Womanizer OG doesn’t remember the previous settings, which is a godsend. I don’t want to have to start where I last was – I like the freedom to cycle through the intensities and patterns to find what I need in that moment. You charge this sturdy with a standard Womanizer magnetic charger and run it. The volume is quiet and discreet. The vibrations are subtle. Unfortunately, the vibrations were stronger than the suction/air-pulse. Why’s that a bad thing? Because it’s marketed as a suction device for the inside of your vagina. The vibrations are there as icing on the cake.

Every Womanizer toy, even the ones that don’t work as advertised *cough* Womanizer OG *cough* is made of quality silicone, my favorite body-safe material. The shaft is sturdy, and the toy is reliably made, just as all the Womanizer products are. I am in love with the silicone of the Womanizer OG because of how soft it is. When companies claim that their toys have a “full soft touch” silicone, I don’t take them for their word until I feel it. In this sense, the Womanizer OG does fit the marketing material.

The price of the Womanizer OG is not equivalent to its performance. For $199 you get nothing but a disappointment. Marketed to stimulate the g-spot, the Womanizer OG falls short. Hell, you’re better off just getting a g-spotter and a clit stimulator. Though complicated, the Womanizer Duo is an excellent alternative since you can’t feel the g-spot stimulation with the Womanizer OG.

After charging the Womanizer OG, it’s time to take it for a spin. There was no response after turning the toy on, which wasn’t a problem. The Womanizer OG utilizes the new “smart silence” design they’ve been using with their most recent toys. While I can appreciate that there’s a sudden turn-off when the device is not touching my body, that makes placement difficult. I’m a bigger woman, and it’s hard af to find my clit. Fold after fold; I have to guess where my clit is and when the toy is creating that suction.

Womanizer packaging is always on point. Their boxes are sturdy (and you bet your ass I reuse them) and colorful, drawing you in immediately. The box proudly displays the Womanizer OG and all its features, which I appreciate immensely. A satin hook pulls the box open so that you can see your new toy. Inside, the manual and charger are tucked away so that what you first see is the Womanizer OG itself.

I love a solid silicone toy. Silicone covers every inch of the Womanizer OG in a high-quality, smooth, purple body-safe silicone. Silicone doesn’t absorb bodily fluids, making it so body-safe. All you need to do with a silicone toy is clean it thoroughly with water and soap. If you’re feeling lazy, spray a toy cleaner over the Womanizer OG, wipe it down, and go to bed already! Be sure to clean the suction head thoroughly. Cleaning toys can get tricky when there’s a hole-like opening in the toy. To be extra careful when cleaning, a toothbrush from the dollar store will do the trick.
