I had seen the shower head created for pleasure and expressed to the office that I wanted to review it. Coincidentally, the folks at Womanizer got in contact that week, wanting someone to review their new Wave handheld shower head. And guess who got the pleasure of testing and reviewing it?! ME! When the Womanizer Wave arrived, I was pleasantly surprised, as I believed this was going to be a simple, water-driven sex toy. But I had no idea that the Womanizer company had collaborated with hansgrohe to make a real shower fixture that delivers pleasure too. I did a little research and learned that hasgrohe literally invented the shower, and have been making high-end shower products ever since, including inventing the shower bar too! With that much knowledge and expertise, as well as the Womanizer pleasure aspect and a combined 120 years of experience, I knew this shower head had to be fantastic.It’s Beautiful!
In opening the Womanizer Wave, I immediately feel in love with the chrome look and the silicone nubs surrounding the water openings. The shape of the Wave has a gentle curve that fits the natural curve of the hand and wrist, allowing it to naturally reach those pleasure spots. Plus, the entire shower head is light weight – something important to me as I’m getting older and my hands don’t have the strength they used to. I mean, my current shower head is so heavy, it causes me extreme pain just holding it for a couple of minutes. So, this shower head is perfect for older folks as well as those with small motor issues, arthritis, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, etc. Finally, the Womanizer Wave is also available in black and white, to match any bathroom fixtures and decor.Installation is a Breeze!
The Womanizer Wave is so easy to install, it’s crazy. It features a universal fit that screws right on to any handheld shower hose. 1. Powder Rain
This setting feels like a misty rain. It’s so gentle and soft, I wondered if it would get me wet enough (shower wise) to wash my hair and body. Regardless, it reminded me of playing in the rain, as a kid! It’s so sensual, gentle and Heavenly!2. Pleasure Whirl
This setting piqued my interest as it looks like it’s going to feel incredible. The Pleasure Whirl is made up of three streams of water that twist and whirl around your clitoris.3. The Pleasure Jet

The best part of the Womanizer Wave is the way you switch from one setting to the next. I don’t know about you, but changing shower head settings usually involves twisting the entire head or a dial around it. However, the Wave features a single, large button you push to take you through the triple settings. And if that wasn’t enough to reel me in, there is a slider button that increases or decreases the water intensity. Both features clicked and glided like butter!Shower Time!
So, once I had played with all of the settings to see how they felt and how well the buttons worked, it was time to get into the serious part of the review, and hop in the shower. First, I need to admit that I am not a shower girl. In fact, I rarely shower, opting instead for a bath. However, in the summer, I will occasionally shower after gardening or hiking to wash off bug repellent and sweaty yuck that I don’t really want to sit in. This product though, may turn me into a shower person!Oh-S0-Soft!
First and foremost, if you’re going to make a sex toy that is also a functioning part of the home, it has to get you clean. So, I started with the Powder Rain setting and to my surprise, as delicate and lovely as it felt, it soaked my entire body and I was easily able to wash my hair and shower as normal. Additionally, this setting was so incredibly relaxing, I could lay in the tub and let the gentle mist engulf me! This girl is sold!What the Whirl?!
Okay, I was fascinated by the Pleasure Whirl setting, but after getting in the shower with it, I was shook! Not only does it twirl around the clitoris and other sensitive areas of the vulva, it pulsates too! And that little slider button? Holy Heavenly shower, Batman! It was absolutely incredible. Then, I pulled the Wave away from my body and got a completely different sensation than how it felt close up. Wow, just WOW! Third and certainly not last (by any means), the Pleasure Jet setting was intense! It’s almost as if the Womanizer Wave designers decided to delight users with a happy ending. Then, instead of a cigarette or a snack, you melt back into the Powder Rain setting. The Womanizer Wave packaging says that this shower head is “water saving”. However, I don’t see how that could be, since you’ll likely drain your water heater every time you use it! My first and only concern with the Wave was cleaning it. After all, we have the hardest water I have ever experienced. However, the cleaning instructions for the Wave are the same as any other shower head! You remove the sieve and rinse it out, and give the silicone nubs a little massage to remove any calcium or lime build up. And if that doesn’t work, simply soak it for a few minutes in your preferred bathroom cleanser, run the shower through each setting a few times, and viola’, it’s clean!More Than a Sex Toy
I cannot express enough that this isn’t your run of the mill sex toy – something you’ll use on occasion and toss in the trash. This is a full-on, meticulously designed and manufactured, high-end, handheld shower head. After I received the Womanizer Wave, I did my due diligence and read online reviews. Only a very small group of those were low-star ratings and seemed focused around water pressure. So, I kept that in mind when testing the Wave and was surprised that the water flow was powerful, even with the water turned relatively low. Therefore, for me, the water pressure was exactly the same as my Kohler shower head, only the Wave gave me settings not often found on traditional shower heads. In fact, the push-button jet change and sliding intensity adjustment was beyond regular shower heads! And finally, the Powder Rain setting, although like a light, misting rain, is drenching and more than enough to take a nice, relaxing shower, if you're not in the mood for sexual stimulation. But those other 2 jets? Mercy me, do they perform! It's about time someone made a discreet, water toy created to be a home fixture!
The Womanizer Wave packaging is extremely nice! It is made with thick cardboard and features an outside sleeve with a drawer that slides out by pulling a color-matched satin tab. Inside, the Wave is nestled inside a sturdy plastic cradle, keeping it from moving around during shipping and storage. Finally, under the Wave handle is a cardboard pouch in which you'll find instructions for installation, use and warranty. Therefore, if you want to take your Wave down after use, simply dry it off and place it back in the box for sturdy storage that will last. However, removing the Wave, between uses, it not necessary as this is an actual bathroom fixture.
The Womanizer Wave is made from sturdy ABS plastic, making it lightweight and strong. The shower holes are surrounded by high-quality and body-safe silicone which also deters corrosion from calcium, lime and rust from hard water. Cleaning the Wave is a breeze! That's because all you need to do is wipe down the water spots after each use. Then, if you have hard water, every month or so, simply massage the silicone nubs to release any calcium deposits. And if that isn't doing it for you, the Wave can be soaked in calcium and lime removing bathroom cleaner and rinsed, then run to remove those deposits. Basically, you will be doing the same maintenance you do on the shower head you have now!

Considering this is a premiere, one-of-a-kind, shower-sex toy combo, there isn’t anything to which I can compare the Womanizer Wave. Therefore, I can only compare it to traditional shower heads.
