Low Expectations

I’ll be honest: I had super low expectations for the Ava Smart Wand Massager. I’m not huge of clitoral vibrators (except for suction vibes), and I never got the hype around the magic wand. I personally find super strong vibrations too much on the clit. It always makes the area numb or overly sensitive, which I don’t enjoy. However, Ava surprised me with how enjoyable the wand was right from the get-go. I blame it on the material it’s made from. The head is a little bit bouncy, as if there is a layer of gel inside which makes all the difference when using it. It feels soft and plush even when I press it harder on my body. And because it’s so bouncy, I can feel the vibrations all over my vulva when I use it. I absolutely love it.

A Few Disappointments

Overall, I’m very satisfied with Ava, but of course, not everything was perfect. The sex toy comes with a user manual, which is wonderful. However, if you’re like me and throw the user manuals away with the packaging, it’s an issue. I’d have appreciated having the user manual on the website in a PDF version that I can download if I want to. I think it’s a little bit outdated not to have a digital version of a user manual in this day and age, especially for a luxury sex toy brand. Another thing I struggled with was the Zalo Remote App. Ava is supposed to be a remote-controlled vibrator that you can connect to the app. I think that’s a great feature for a sex toy to have. However, I had trouble connecting my toy to the app. I’m not sure if it’s the app, the toy, or my phone, but I wasn’t able to test whether Ava works with the app.

Ava's design is absolutely stunning. It looks luxurious, and it feels luxurious, too. It's heavy and sturdy despite its tiny size. The plastic of the handle feels premium, and so does the soft silicone. The buttons are integrated seamlessly and are easy to reach for while using the sex toy.

The price for Ava is pretty high. You can find cheaper mini wand massagers on the market for sure. However, out of all the mini wand massagers I've tried, this one is a standout. So, I'd say that if you're looking for a mini wand massager and want a high-quality sex toy that feels good and that you will keep in your sex toy collection for many years, I'd say the price is worth it.
