Aneros combined their expertise at designing manual stimulators with two powerful motors to create an exemplary prostate massager the Aneros Vice 2. Like any good sequel, it keeps the best elements of the original and dials up the action by adding a rechargeable battery and a remote. The Vice 2 is shaped like a long butt plug with two bulbs that embrace the prostate like a long lost friend. It has an unusual hook shaped base which kept me hooked because it allows the Vice 2 to pivot when I clench my muscles pressing pleasingly into my prostate.

First Test

My first time using the Aneros Vice 2, I pulled it out of the box, applied lube and inserted it to get an initial impression. I have used similarly-sized anal toys before so I didn’t anticipate needing much warm-up, but unfortunately it took a while for my muscles to relax which distracted from the vibrations. I enjoyed trying the different vibration patterns, but felt that they were lacking in intensity. I later learned to increase the vibration intensity by tapping the power button on the remote, which I found a bit unintuitive. My favorite aspect of the toy was contracting my muscles which applied manual pressure to my prostate.

Second Test

Armed with the knowledge from my first test, I warmed up with a buttplug of similar size to the Vice 2. When my muscles were relaxed and I felt ready, I inserted the Vice 2. After warming up the curves of the Vice felt more pleasurable and less intense than my first experience. I dialed up the intensity and indulged in the sensations for a few minutes. I started contracting my pelvic floor muscles in time with the vibrations putting the Vice’s unique design to work. The pressure on my prostate combined with the vibrations gave me a satisfying massage.

Observations After Multiple Uses

The Vice 2 is comfortable and pleasantly filling. I enjoy the ability to manually apply prostate pressure by contracting my muscles. The Vice became more enjoyable with every use as I got more use to the sensations and became better at controlling it’s motions. I was unable to orgasm from prostate stimulation alone, but the Vice provided some excellent blended orgasms. The base is comfortable when standing, laying and during intercourse, but is uncomfortable to sit on.

Aneros Vice 2 -

The Aneros Vice 2 looks like a tool designed for a very specific job. It has 2 asymmetrical bulbs which surround the prostate. The base and curve cause the Vice to move when the pelvic floor muscles are contracted manually applying pressure to the prostate. It has 2 motors that stimulate the prostate and perineum. The vibration patterns and intensity are controlled by a remote. For my sex toy preferences, I value function over style, so I like the design of the Aneros Vice 2

Aneros Vice 2 -

The remote makes it easy to switch between vibration patterns. A number display lists which pattern is selected. Squeezing the toy causes both motors to vibrate quickly. Tapping the power button increases the vibration intensity, which I didn't find intuitive on my first use and only discovered when I read the manual. The remote connects instantly to the toy and it's easier than using a phone that connects with Bluetooth like some other toys I have tried. Overall I think the Vice 2 is pretty simple to use.

Aneros Vice 2 -

The Aneros feels like a high end toy. It is heavy and the silicone is velvery smooth. The power button on the Vice and the control buttons on the remote have a gratifying click. The charging cord is durable and feels like an intentional inclusion rather than an afterthought . These are small details but together give the Vice a feeling of quality. The motors are quiet but powerful and the vice has good battery life making it a very functional toy.

The Aneros Vice 2 costs $149.95 which is expensive, but it works well and feels like a quality toy. I think the biggest downside of the Aneros Vice 2 is it's high cost. I think the Vice is worth it for a prostate play enthusiast seeking something new, but it is too expensive for a beginner looking for a first prostate toy.

Aneros Vice 2 -

The first time using the Vice 2 I enjoyed the vibrations patterns but I felt the strength of the vibrations was underwhelming. After figuring out how to adjust the vibration strength I found the the vibrations much more stimulating. It has a long battery life and never ran out during a session. The Aneros unique shape worked for me and applied pressure to my prostate, as designed, when I contracted my pelvic floor muscles.

Aneros Vice 2 -

The Aneros Vice 2 was packaged in a stylish red and black box with white accents. The decoration on the package is minimal showing a picture of the toy, and a badge for "sexual health and wellness brand of the year". Inside the exterior packaging is a black box with magnetic clasps which opens to display the toy and remote in a plastic tray. Overall I like the packaging which is both bold and elegant. Because the packaging is cardboard and plastic it can be discreetly desposed of quite easily.

Aneros Vice 2 -

The Vice 2 is coated in a firm black silicone. The silicone is very smooth and It is quite firm so I suspect it has a durable ABS plastic core like other Aneros toys but this isn't listed on the website. The Vice is heavier than it looks, likely due to the weight of the motors and battery. The Vice 2 has a IPX7 water resistance rating, which means that it can withstand being submerged for up to 30 min in a meter of water without suffering damage, so it can be easily cleaned or used in the shower. After use I wash it with Hot water and soap, then sanitize the surface with alcohol. Between uses I keep it in a microfiber pouch to keep it free from lint and let residual smells dissipate. Aneros recommends removing it from the charger as soon as it is charged to maintain battery life.

Aneros Vice 2 -

  • The matte silicone is excellent
  • The remote makes it easy to control
  • Lots of vibration patterns
  • Provides manual stimulation and vibrations
  • Waterproof

  • Expensive
  • Large for a beginner
  • Base is uncomfortable to sit on

Overall I think the Aneros Vice 2 is a great toy. It is designed for a specific function, stimulating the prostate, which it performs admirably. The motors are rumbly and strong and I like the different vibration patterns, particularly the ones that shift between the two motors giving the impression of movement. It is that toy I felt toy gets better with each use as I learn to better control it with my pelvic floor muscles. The remote makes the Vice 2 very usable and is much better than a phone app, which can be difficult to connect, or controls on the toy it's self which can be hard to reach on an anal toy. The toy materials are well conceived, it is weighty and firm and the silicone is exceptionally smooth and velvety. The biggest downside of the Aneros Vice 2 is the cost. It feels and functions like a quality toy with a price to match.

There is a Manual for the Vice 2 available on the Aneros website, under instructions.

The Vice 2 is not a good first toy, but it would be a good choice for an Anal beginner who has tried a couple of plugs and are looking to try something now and more advanced.

The Vice 2, is very easy to care for it is coated with silicone and is waterproof.

The motor at the tip is rumbly, the motor at the base is more buzzy. The interplay between the motors gives the illusion of movement.

The battery lasts for over an hour of use.

The remote is the best feature allowing the user to easily change paterns and intensity.
