Lovense Ridge — Test & Review

I like the sleek and simple design of the Lovense Ridge. The tip is nice and tapered to help the first two beads slip in pretty comfortably. I like that the shaft itself is pretty firm. It’s quite rigid and doesn’t bend at all. Although, it doesn’t feel completely hard and unyielding like glass or metal. It’s firm but the silicone coating has a little bit of squish to it. The neck itself between the base of the toy and the shaft is actually pretty flexible! That’s quite nice, especially if you're wearing it during partnered sex. It’s nice that it’s not just on big rigid stick that’ll push into you with every thrust. I like that there’s a little bit of give to the shaft. The base is a little bulky. It’s not the most comfortable to sit down on. So, I don’t know if I recommend this for long-term wear. However, it’s not TOO bulky for partnered sex. You can definitely make that happen.

This thing was suprisingly easy to use. Since I'm already fairly experienced with anal play and anal toys, the Lovense Ridge was very approachable. The two buttons are also very easy to use once you know how to turn on the toy. The app control feature works beautifully. It was quite nice to use some of the pre-existing patterns on the Lovense Remote app. Syncing it to music was also great fun since there’s both rotations and vibrations to enjoy. The app connectivity was also very good! It was even better than my experience with the Lovense Quake!

It's clear to see that the Lovense Ridge is a premium quality item. From the body-safe materials, the IPX7 waterproof level, the app compatibility, and the strong motors powering both the vibrations and rotations. Everything looks and feels like something of high quality.

Yes, it’s expensive. Since I do think that Lovense products tend to be on the expensive side, I was kind of preparing myself to say that this product is too overpriced and maybe not worth the money. But after my experience with the Lovense Ridge, I actually think it’s worth saving up for. It’s not cheap but you’ll be getting your money’s worth, in my humble opinion. Especially if you're also able to use it for vaginal insertion!

The intensity of the vibrations was nice and strong! They’re a little buzzy but not in a bad way. They’re powerful, feel really good, and don't leave you feeling numb. I do sometimes experience that some Lovense products offer more buzzy than rumbly vibrations. Luckily, because they’re still good quality items, these buzzy vibrations are not necessarily a con.

The packaging of the Lovense Ridge is very similar to all other packaging from Lovense. It comes it a simple white box with some neutral images. The contents include a small manual, a black satin-like storage bag, and a charging cord. Simple and straightforward!

Since the Lovense Ridge is made of silicone and is IPX7 waterproof, it's a breeze to clean! Simply run it under the tap in warm water to rinse, lather it up with sex toy cleaner or a mild soap, and rinse again. Once completely dry, pop it in the storage bag until you're ready to use it next time. Keep the toy away from extreme heat or cold during storage (and use). To maintain the battery properly, Lovense recommends you make sure to charge your toys at least every 6 months.
