  • Could use some elevation during sex
  • Want to try a support during playtime
  • Find discomfort in positions without cushion

  • Don't have an air pump
  • Don't like the feel of velvet
  • Don't have adequate room in bed for large cushion

The Sportsheets Pivot Inflatable Positioner Plus is quite large. When fully inflated it is 14 inches tall, 31.5 inches long, and 24 inches wide. The fabric you come into contact with is velvet. I personally am not a fan of velvet, so I put a blanket over it for my use. The inflatable positioner is made of PVC and polyester. It supports up to 300lbs. I enjoy using it to lay on and elevate. It helps with the height difference between my hubby and myself. He is 6 foot 4 and I am only 5 foot 6. There are 4 handles that are very sturdy and you can really grip and pull on them as needed.

First Impression

I was so excited to finally get my hands on a sex pillow like the Sportsheets Pivot Inflatable Positioner Plus. The only ones at my local store available were part of kit that cost $1k or more. Pulling it out of the box, you would not believe how much it inflates! After we got it fully inflated, I was not sure if I would like it, due to the size. But, we tried it a few different ways and I really enjoyed it. My favorite part is having the handles to hang on to. You can really get into it with the help of the different types of handles.

Ew, Velvet

I was a little disappointed to find that the Sportsheets Pivot Inflatable Positioner Plus had a velour feel, like many other positioner pillows. I really hate the texture of velour and velvet. The nice thing about velour, though, is if you put a blanket or towel over it, then it grips pretty nicely. So, that is how I choose to use it. I don’t think I would not buy one just because of the velvet, but I would prefer if it was a removable cover or something. This material also attracts a lot of pet hair — I have cats and I am pretty sure they only lay on things that are going to collect hair.

How I Use It

There are multiple ways to use the Sportsheets Pivot Inflatable Positioner Plus. You and lay on your stomach, back, side, or whatever you think of. I preferred laying on my stomach with the lower ramp side toward my hips. I tried it on my back and did not find it very comfortable personally. I also use the heck out of the handles. They are also nice just to have something to hang on to. I don’t know if anyone else ever has the issue of sliding around during play time, but the ramp and handles help to be able to stay put and readjust yourself.

I do like the look of the Sportsheets Pivot Inflatable Positioner Plus. The black velvet reminds me of those fancy BDSM benches. I always thought the black velvet looked classy. I still don't like the feel of the velvet, but I do like the look — conflicting I know. I was able to find a way to make it work though and it is completely worth it. I like that the handles are also black and match the inflatable positioner. It feels very sturdy during use even with it literally just being filled with air.

The Sportsheets Pivot Inflatable Positioner Plus is very easy to use. You really can't use it a wrong way that I have found. I will say that I was not able to blow it up on my own and had to use my hubby's tire pump. If you don't have a reliable way to blow this up, it is going to be difficult. Once you get this blown up, test it to make sure it's comfortable. I like mine completely inflated. It feels so sturdy. The handles are built into the positioner so once you inflate it then its ready for use — can't get much easier than that!

I am so impressed with the quality of this. Usually with inflatable furniture I get nervous that the seams might burst or easily might pop. I don't have that fear with the Sportsheets Pivot Inflatable Positioner Plus at all. I feel like I can be pretty rough while using it without any concerns. Heck I was rough with it. Really got to test those limits! The handles are also sturdy and when I yank on them, I don't feel any give which is very reassuring.

I think after using I find that it is worth the price. Honestly though, seeing the price before buying it I would not have bought it. Maybe I am just a cheapo, but I am glad we got it. I have a hard time buying things in this price range without knowing how well they are going to work out. So, if something were to happen to this one, I would buy the same one again! This is of such good quality though I don't think that is going to be an issue!

I prefer to use the Sportsheets Pivot Inflatable Positioner Plus with my partner. I did try it solo with toys. In some instances, it was helpful, but I didn't feel it made much more of a difference when I was by myself. Reading the description, I really think it lives up to expectation. I think it even surpassed it a bit in the quality department. I was happily surprised.

I am so glad this was not in a vacuum sealed bag that you practically destroy the product trying to get it out. The Sportsheets Pivot Inflatable Positioner Plus came in a bag that was in a simple box. I liked that the box gave a great description of what this was. It also told you what it was made of and the dimensions which is super helpful. Some inflatable items contain latex, so it's helpful to know if there is an allergy risk before taking it home.

I have found the best way for me to care for this after use it to use a pet hair remover tool (like a lint roller), wipe it down with a washcloth, and deflate it for storage. You don't have to deflate it after each use, but with the size, it's not easy to store. I chose to deflate it so I can tuck it into a drawer. This is why I think it is important to have a reliable and fast inflation device. The material is super light, even the handles don't weigh it down, plus they are also super easy to just wipe down.

  • Easy to use in multiple positions
  • Can be deflated for easier storage
  • Handles are great for stability

  • Velvet texture might not be to everyone's taste
  • Bulky when inflated
  • Doesn't come with a pump

I have always wanted to try an inflatable positioner! I was so excited to use this. It helps with a few of my favorite positions, if you know what I mean. It was bigger than I expected, so I was a bit nervous but after trying it out, I really enjoyed it! I think it makes a great addition to play time! It still is a little bit bulky, but the handles help a lot.
