A First Look
When I first cracked open the Lovehoney Indulge Valentine’s Kit, it was like Christmas morning opening each individually wrapped element. I loved the rose-gold and purples and how well they all coordinated in color. I was very intrigued by the shape of the Indulge G-spot and Clitoral Suction Stimulator because although I’ve tried a few different suction devices, I’ve never tried one that has an insertable element before. One of my favorite toy combos is to use the Wevibe Melt and the Lovense Osci as the same time, and this seemed like to could combine two of my favorite types of stimulation in to one toy. There is clearly immense aesthetic detail in this box, ensuring that everything matched the royal purple theme. I tested out the Indulge G-spot and Clitoral Suction Stimulator solo, since this is the main attraction event in this box and I wanted to give it the dedicated time that it deserved. The motor on the vibration portion of the toy is extremely strong, which was incredible. The problem for me was that my intensities for the suction device never increased so it was almost impossible to get it to work as intended for me since I need more intense pressure. I was disappointed that I couldn’t get that to function properly, because I think if it was more intense it would be the perfect toy. My husband and I used the restraints and the blindfold which worked okay, though he kept peeking through the gaps in the blindfold! He is a squirmer, so the tie was difficult to use without it getting too loose, but I think that this might be useful for someone new to bondage or working through a fear of claustrophobia. He is a fan of anal and enjoyed the plug, with the sparkly gem adding a fun little touch. I actually loved playing with the little jelly stroker. It was so delightfully squishy and easy to use, and my husband enjoyed the dueling sensations of the squishy stroker and a firm fist. I also loved the tiny little bullet vibe. It was easy to use with a single click of a button and it was very strong, which is always a must for me when it comes to vibrations. It did have a few other settings that allowed for lower intensity vibes as well, if you prefer them. It can be used with the stroker and the cock-ring as well. It has an unfortunate design flaw, and doesn’t quite fit in its designated pocket, and feels like it could fall out at any moment (though it didn’t). The cock-ring could was okay, it worked enough well for him, but I found the rabbit ears to be a little unpleasant and the weight of the bullet vibe made it a little too unstable for me.
Many of the items in the kit have a more basic look. I appreciate that everything is color coordinated and matches well. This seems like a sampler kit for beginners to me, so many of the toys were free of frills. The motor for the suction stimulator was poorly designed and weak compared to the Satisfyer or the WeVibe Melt. The slot for the bullet vibe on the stroker is a bit too small to use easily. I also felt that it was poor design to not have the bullet vibe and and the suction device have the same type of charger. They are very similar and it is easy to confuse the two, but they can't be mixed. It is both inconvienent and wasteful.
There are minimal learning curves with any of the toys provided in this kit. They are all very simple and intuitive to use without instruction. There is only one button to fuss with on the bullet vibe and two buttons, one for suction and one for vibrations, on the Indulge G-Spot and Clitoral Suction Stimulator. The hardest part for me was fitting the bullet vibe into the small little space allotted for it on the stoker. It was difficult to put in and it felt like it would slide out if you were a little to voracious with your hand movements.
The quality of the Lovehoney Indulge Valentine Kit is quite literally, a mixed bag. The blindfold is actually very comfortable and soft on the inside, but it's very stiff and leaves gaps for you to peek out of which is not ideal for a predicament filled with surprises. The restraint is a strange mix of textures, which make it feel both cheap and hard to use. The cockring is a nice quality silicone, but it's a little clunky when paired with the bullet vibe. For the Indulge G-Spot and Clitoral Suction Stimulator, the vibrations are high powered and the silicone is great, but the suction is truly awful. There is almost no power behind it even at the highest setting. The gemstone plug and the stroker are great quality item both in performance and aesthetics. The bullet vibe was deceptive. The material felt a little too light, but I was amazed how strong it was.
I think that the price point is decent, especially for those who want to try out a little bit of everything before they invest money into something they may not like, like light bondage or anal. You get quite a variety of toys for both his and hers, which is appreciated for a little Valentines Day fun! The blind fold and the tie are probably the worst return on investment since the materials are a little unpleasant and difficult to work with. The silicone used on the suction device is very nice, but the motor for the actual suction is too weak. The plug, stroker, cockring and the bullet vibe are all of good quality, with the bullet vibe being deceivingly powerful!
The bullet vibe and the stroker lived up to the Lovehoney hype as well as exceeded my expectations. The stroker was so squishy and fun to grip and play with. The vibe was small but mighty, working far quicker and stronger than I could have imagined, though it could be a little loud. The gemstone plug was very pretty, but otherwise standard and I have no complaints about it at all. The cockring was stiffer and clunkier than I imagined, which is sad because if it were a little more well designed, it would be an instant home-run thanks to the bullet vibe. The blindfold and bondage tie were a little too cheaply made to be very functional. The textures on the tie are also off putting and unpleasant to feel. The suction stimulator was sadly my least favorite and did not at all live up to the hype. The vibrations were great and it was nice that they had their own separate control button from the suctioning. Unfortunately, there was almost no suction at all, even at the highest setting.
The packaging for the Indulge Valentine kit is very simplistic, which I appreciate. It briefly describes the contents of the box since there are several different items in the box as well as the care instructions. It is Valentine's Day themed with lots of tiny hearts on it, but relatively discreet with no large images adorning the box.
The materials in this kit are primarily high quality silicone or metal. The vibrators are splash proof, not water resistant. Only water based lubes should be used with the toys in this kit and they should also be cleaned with a toy cleaner and left out until air dried.

I had high hopes for the Lovehoney Indulge Valentine's Kit, especially when I laid eyes on the unique shape of the suction device. Unfortunately, many of the products in this kit did not work as well as I had hoped, though there were a few items that I was pleasantly surprised by. I think that this kit is geared towards those who don't have a lot of tools in their arsenal to get a feel for things that they could like without breaking the bank.
