The Lovehoney Oh! Talk Dirty Cards are a set of traditional playing cards, with a twist! Along with the traditional suits (and jokers), each playing card also has a spicy phrase and instructions on how and when you might want to use it. The lower value cards have the most tame phrases that get you and your partner talking about your preferences and fantasies, while the higher value cards get into some seriously sexy stuff! The two jokers have blank spaces for you to write your own dirty phrases. Along with these cards, you also get some instruction cards, as well as three different game ideas to try out.
A Perfect Source of Inspiration
I’m someone who really loves dirty talk, and I’ve been trying to explore it more in my relationship. My partner, who is wonderful at so many things, tries his best, but suffers from creative stage fright sometimes and can’t always find the right thing to say. We’ve talked a lot about it, and have tried to explore different things to say in the past, but I was really excited to show him these cards. They’re literally a ready-made pack of everything I’d like him to say! I really like that you can use them as part of a game or just as quick flashcards — whatever the mood requires.Super Spicy
As soon as I opened the Lovehoney Oh! Talk Dirty Cards, I found myself getting a bit hot under the collar! They do ramp up in intensity, depending on the value of the card you choose, but they get very sexual and/or kinky at the higher numbers. Personally, I love that, but I can see beginners, or those in new relationships, getting red in the face when reading some of them. However, there’s no pressure to say or do anything you’re not comfortable with — it’s more like a giant idea bank for you to figure out what you and your partner enjoy.
The Talk Dirty cards have a nice enough design with a red heart design on the back, though it's nothing revolutionary. I appreciate that each card has instructions or commentary on when and how you might use each phrase, rather than just including the phrase and letting you figure out the rest. It definitely makes the deck feel more useful and less intimidating!
These cards are very easy to use, especially since they're also regular playing cards. You also receive lots of instructions on different games you can play, so you can play more collaboratively or competitively.
As far as quality goes, the cards are exactly like standard playing cards. They're glossy and sturdy, but might start to break if you use them a lot, or get them wet. The box, however, is very flimsy.
For just $9, I think the Lovehoney Oh! Talk Dirty cards are great value! We will definitely get a lot of use out of them, both during sexy games, and also regular games when we lose our normal playing cards (it happens a lot). While it might start to get repetitive if you're only interested in more vanilla phrases, I do think there's enough variety to allow you to play again and again without getting bored.
Even though my partner and I have talked before about incorporating more dirty talk into our playtime, we hadn't really got as specific as we did when playing with these cards. They really allowed us nail down the exact phrases that would get us going, and my partner appreciated having some concrete ideas to work with in the future.
I wish they would have made more of an effort when designing the box. It's fine, and looks exactly like a regular box of playing cards, but it's so light and flimsy that it will break like all other playing card boxes do. Making it out of a sturdier cardboard would have made a world of difference, but I guess it would have also made it more expensive. It's fairly discreet, except for the Lovehoney logo and the 'Talk Dirty' written at the bottom. Some guests might not notice, but I think I will store it in a different place from the rest of my card games.
The cards are made from thin, glossy card and do feel nice. However, I would avoid getting them wet, as it will likely damage them. The same goes for the box.

This is definitely not a deck of playing cards to get out during family game night! This deck of 52 cards (plus jokers) is packed full of super spicy dirty talk ideas, and I love it! As someone who loves incorporating dirty talk into my bedroom activities, and has a partner who is not naturally inclined to talk dirty, these cards were a perfect way to find new things to say and new ways to excite each other.
