The Nexus Ace is a sleek, vibrating, silicone butt plug that will show you what deep, deep rumbles feel like. With a super flexible, textured stem, this T-shaped base is supposed to sit comfortably between your cheeks during use. The smooth, tapered tip also allows for an easy insertion when you take on this plug. This butt plug is also remote controlled and perfect for partnered play or even some public play. Both the plug itself and the remote control are fully rechargeable!

Journey to The Realm of Anal Vibrations

I’ve tried a few different kinds of vibrating butt plugs before. However, they’ve all been smaller silicone butt plugs that could be attached to a bullet vibrator. I always wondered just how well the vibrations travelled through the silicone. So, I was finally ready to explore the world of rechargeable butt plugs and the world of remote controlled anal toys! Nexus actually specializes in making anal toys for men or people with prostates, but some of their products are definitely suitable for all kinds of bodies out there. I wanted to try out the Nexus Ace for a few different reasons. I wanted a try out a larger silicone butt plug with that “classic butt plug shape”. I wanted something rechargeable with the motor within the design itself. I wanted my vibrating butt plug to be remote controlled or app compatible for some hands-free fun. Last but not least, I thought the Nexus Ace potentially could be good for sharing with my partner. All in all, this butt plug was my best pick for venturing into the world of anal vibes!

Didn’t Quite Ace That…

So, even though I ordered the Nexus Ace in a medium, it turns out I was still a little too ambitious… It definitely looked and felt bigger than I was expecting. A few nervous gulps later, I planned out my first try. I set up my space with plenty of water-based anal lube, a few other butt plugs in different sizes, and lots and lots of patience. Long story short, insertion was succesful yet slightly turbulent. The stem was a bit too flexible to ensure a secure grip! Once I was ready to try out the vibrations, I tested out both the buttons on the plug and the remote control to adjust the settings. My main takeaway? The vibrations felt very, very deep but also very loud and extremely buzzy! At some point I was worried my upstairs or downstairs neighbors would be able to hear this plug vibing away inside of me! I tried combining the Nexus Ace with a bunch of other sensations, stimuli, and sex toys to see how it could elevate my usual playtime. Unfortunately, I was way too focused on how intense that vibration felt that I was just thoroughly unimpressed… The ridges on the stem also felt a bit uncomfortable during insertion and removal. I’ve tried to give the Nexus Ace a few more chances to prove itself since then. My verdict is mixed. While it’s not a bad product, it just didn’t do much for me personally.

I initially was drawn to the Nexus Ace because of its classic overal butt plug design. I like the tapered tip, the slim neck, and a T-shaped base with controls. These are all pros to me! However, the stimulation ridges on the stem were a big nope from me. In the beginning, I just didn't think they added much stimulation. After a while though, I felt that they did - the bad kind of stimulation. For me, I didn't like the idea of them creating some unnecessary friction. Additionally, the stem itself is a little bit too flexible. Insertion was actually a bit more difficult because of this.

The Nexus Ace is definitely not hard to use (provided the size is appropriate for you). Since I had been a bit too ambitious with the size, I had a hard time using it. The flexibility of the stem definitely didn't help the insertion process. Nevertheless, I think the use itself is pretty intuitive. You activate the vibrations on the plug itself first and then you're free to adjust the settings via the remote control. That part is pretty seamless!

I would say that the Nexus Ace is a good quality product. I have my issues with some minor design elements and the type of vibrations in this butt plug, but this does not affect my view of the overall quality. I continue to believe that Nexus products still pass the vibe check. It's made of good materials, 100% waterproof, and the vibrations are very powerful, albeit quite buzzy.

The Nexus Ace is probably one of the less expensive rechargeable, remote controlled, vibrating butt plugs out there that still comes from a good quality brand. So, yes, it's relatively affordable. Although I would recommend starting with something less expensive if you're just looking to try out anal vibrations for the first time. But for the overall quality and vibration strength in this product, I would say the price is pretty good.

For me, personally, the Nexus Ace did not really live up to my expectations. I was excited for a satisfying size and some rumbly vibrations. I got a butt plug that was a bit too large for my liking (my bad, honestly) and some incredibly buzzy vibrations. That said, the vibrations were also mostly felt internally. I had expected a lot of the vibrations to be felt by the base of the toy, by the stem, to properly stimulate all the sensitive nerve-endings around the anus. But I mostly experienced difficulty during insertion and removal, and a whole lot of buzz in my butt.

Looking back, the packaging might have been one of the more exciting elements of this product. However sad that sounds, it was really cool opening this bad boy up for the first time! The box opens up to reveal the plug and the remote control nestled in the cover. Underneath, you'll find the charger and the user manual. The packaging is quite simple, but I think the overall design showcases the quality of the product.

The Nexus Ace is made of 100% body safe, non-porous silicone. The plug itself is completely waterproof and fully submersible. Bring it with you in the shower or bath for a splash of fun. When it's time to clean it, the process couldn't be more simple. Simply rinse off any residue, lather it up with a mild, unscented soap or sex toy cleaner, and rinse with warm water. Let dry completely before storing it safely away from any dust or lint. You can also wipe down the remote control with a damp cloth.

I don't think I'll be reaching for the Nexus Ace regularly. There were a few elements that just weren't doing it for me. Of course, the matter of sizing is mostly just a blow to my ego. I shouldn't have overestimated the abilities of my own butt... Alas, here we are and I tried my best to give this plug a chance! There were some design details that didn't feel great to me. I could have lived without the ribbed texture and a sturdier neck. It would not only make insertion and removal easier but much more comfortable as well! I have to give credit where credit is due. This is a very powerful vibrator. However, it is as loud as it is powerful. This is not something you can keep on the down-low. Everyone in the house will know what you're up to with this butt plug. Ideally, the remote control would allow you to engage in some fun public play. That will be difficult unless you're already at a very noisy location. But it's fine to use around the house... if you're home alone. Last but not least, we have the buzziness of it all. If you actually prefer buzzy vibrations, then this might be the perfect choice for you. I happen to be a fan of really deep, rumbly vibrations. So all in all, the minor design flaws, the buzzy vibrations, and the sheer volume combined renders the Nexus Ace a tad underwhelming for me.

There actually is no user manual available online for the Nexus Ace, but it’s quite simple to use. Simply charge both the plug and the remote control before use. You have to turn it on by using the button on the plug itself. After that you’re free to control the settings either with that same button or the remote control.  As I mentioned earlier, it’s quite intuitive to use!

The Nexus Ace is made of silicone. This means some types of lube will damage the material. I would recommend using a good quality water-based lube with this product. Preferably anal lube that is slightly thicker than regular lube.

Anyone who has an anus! It doesn't really matter what your other genitalia looks like. If you're into anal vibrations, you can totally use the Nexus Ace. However, I wouldn't recommend the medium to any anal beginners out there! You should preferably have at least some experience with anal play.

Technically, you can. I mean you can by all means wear and nejoy the plug itself, but it gets a little more complicated if you want use the vibrations. The remote control allows you control the vibration settings from a short distance. However, the vibrations have to be activated on the plug itself before the remote control works. It's incredibly noisy when activated. Also, there's only one button on the remote control, meaning you can only scroll through all the different vibration modes to switch sensations. So, technically yes, you can use the Nexus Ace in public, but it's probably not the most discreet product for it.
