The Pegasus Ripple 8 is a vibrating dildo/strapon harness combo. The nine inch dildo is made of 100% silicone, and has sixteen different vibrating patterns to it. The dildo is purposely designed to stimulate G/P-spots, and has a battery life of one hour. The harness is made from neoprene and nylon webbing, and fits most sizes. An Introduction.
I was first introduced to the Pegasus Ripple 8 when my wife surprised me with it after we had been looking for a new strap on dildo and harness. Finding the right mix of both was like Goldilocks trying porridge, this dildo too big, this harness too small, you know how it is. When I opened the box and saw the Ripple 8 my first thought was, “Ok…is that it?” The Ripple 8 was not a toy that endears one with the old razzle dazzle from the start. It was in all honesty a very plain Jane looking vibrating dildo, but thankfully the Ripple 8 is not a toy that relies much on looks.Function Over Form.
It was time to try out the Ripple 8. My wife and I had decided it was due time to do some back door fun on me and the Ripple 8 would be the pegging toy of choice. After getting all cleaned out, and situated it was time to get down and make love. One issue we’ve always had when it came to pegging or any type of strapon play was our height difference. I’m 5’10” with an even build, and my wife is 6’2″ with all legs. So most pegging positions don’t work, especially missionary. This was not the case for the Ripple 8. With its curved design, long length, and ridged nature we were actually able to use it in missionary position with me feeling a lot of the sensations it had to offer, and my wife having a good amount of control thanks to the harness. All of that is to say that while the design of the Ripple 8 is nothing to write home about, it does what it’s designed to do and does it well.Good Vibrations.
Another wonderful thing I learned from the Ripple 8 on first use was how good it’s vibrations were. While the Ripple 8 has 16 different vibration patterns to choose from, I’m the type of guy who just wants STRONG constant vibrations. I want to feel like I’m sitting on a commercial washing machine, but in my butt. Now the vibrations on the Ripple 8 aren’t at that level, it is just a vibrating strap-on dildo after all, but the vibrations are strong, and oh do they feel good. Especially due to the fact that all the vibrations are localized in the “head” of the dildo, which created all the right sensations for my prostate.
The design of the Pegasus Ripple 8 is pretty standard at first glance. It's just your run of the mill slightly phallic curved vibrating dildo. It's looks aren't much to write home about. It has no bumps or ridges, no contorts and no moving parts. It also only comes in one color, blue. But don't let looks fool you, this isn't just another dull dildo, what the Ripple 8 lacks in looks it makes up for in ergonomic design. It's light lean and curved head make it great for P/G-spot stimulation, and the vibrations this toy packs are top notch for the price point. Over all the Ripple 8 is easy to use, there's nothing new or out of the box to make using it different or overly challenging. I only have two complaints when it comes to ease of use and they're minor ones. First off, the power button, located on the underside of the base, is TOO SMALL. It's a very tiny button, and it doesn't give alot of feedback when you press it, especially if you're using it without the remote and need to cycle through vibration patterns. Secondly, if you're using it solo, the flared, very flat base can be weird at times to grip and keep steady.
As I mentioned with the design, the quality of the Pegasus Ripple 8 is great...as far as the dildo goes. The dildo is wonderful, made from quality materials and doesn't feel cheap in any way. The harness on the other hand is a different story. It feels like it was made for a toy at a completely different price point. That's not to mean it's bad, it does its job and it does it well, but when it comes to the quality of materials, there is a noticeable difference.
For what you get with the Ripple 8, I'd say the price point is fully justified and expected. That being said, it is quite obvious that the brunt of the price goes towards the 100% silicone dildo with quality vibrations, and the lesser half is split between the harness and the remote. With the $80 price it's a good toy, and it stays affordable and accessible for various income levels.
The performance level of the Ripple 8 is good on its own for solo use, but I think it really excels as a couples strapon toy. With its curved shaft and bulbus head this makes for great stimulation and the harness hold the dildo very snugly, this makes for great strapon sex, and the vibrations intensify it even more.
The packaging for the Ripple 8 is nice enough. It comes in a colorful carboard box with a see through plastic front that shows off the dildo and the remote. The harness and storage bag are hidden behind a layer of carboard. The box itself does have some instructions on how to use the Ripple 8 on the side and back, but may not be the best for some users.
The Ripple 8 is made of 100% body safe silicone, and is full waterproof. The harness is made of neoprene and nylon webbing, so while not the most high end of harnesses, it is 100% body safe, and there is no worry about getting it wet. Cleaning is very simple, either use warm soap and water, or a quality toy cleaner. The Ripple 8 comes with its' own satin storage bag.

Overall I think the Pegasus Ripple 8 makes a great entry toy for couples who are interested in strapon play, or want a vibrating dildo that is made for G/P-spot stimulation. The $80 price tag also makes the Ripple 8 very accessible for those on a tight budget.
Turning It On.
The on button for the Pegasus Ripple 8 is located on the bottom of the toy directly above the charging port. It is a small button that is flush with the rest of the surface, so the button can be tricky to press at times.Turning On Vibrations.
The vibrations can be turned on via repeatedly pressing the power button on the base of the dildo to cycle through vibrations, or via the remote control. Simply press the power button on the remote and then use the + or – button to change the intensity or the wave button to change the pattern.Using The Harness
The harness is the same design as any other jock-strap style strapon harness. To attach the dildo to it, simply slide the dildo between the harness base and the included pre-attached O-ring. The head of the dildo can be pointed up or down depending on preference. To put on the harness simply put one leg at a time through the waist belt and the corresponding thigh belt, tighten to fit.
