The Bondage Boutique Pinwheel is a small, shiny-metal tool. It has a nicely curved and textured handle and pinwheel-style spikes to roll against the skin.
First Impressions
When opening the package for the Bondage Boutique Pinwheel I was pleasantly surprised by how heavy it was. I was expecting it to feel more like a cheap, plastic toy. It’s surprisingly beautiful. I was excited and nervous to try this out. I am a recovered self-harmer and always have to be mindful of my mood and the tools I’m using when I go into something that has the potential for pain or to draw blood. My partner and I experimented with different parts of my body and pressures. I at no time felt like I was in danger of bleeding. There was just the right balance of pain with pleasure. Small indents were left, which was great for me. This tin tool is going to quickly become one of my favorite things to bring out.
This pinwheel exceeded all of my expectations. It's heavy enough to be comfortable. The curve sits amazingly in my hand. It's even 100% silent. I was prepared for a little bit of noise. Maybe with a lot of use that will change; so far nothing.
The Bondage Boutique Pinwheel is so comfortable. It's easy to maneuver to create different pressure points. It doesn't stick at all when rolling across the skin. There were no challenges in using this.
This pinwheel is made so well. It looks and acts like an extremely expensive toy. I was expecting something so much different. I was so pleased with it. I am not afraid that it will fall apart after a few uses or start to stick.
The Bondage Boutique Pinwheel is worth every penny. The price is part of why I had low expectations. This is in the lower range of other ones I have seen with better performance.
This pinwheel performs like a dream. It gives just the right amount of pain with pleasure, allows for controlled pressure, and looks beautiful while doing it.
The Bondage Boutique Pinwheel arrived in a pretty plain white box. I would have liked to have had something I could keep this in, instead of cardboard that won't last. I did appreciate that it was wrapped tightly. Something that will be digging into my skin, I want to keep as protected as possible.
The pinwheel is nickel-free stainless steel. It has shiny metal made to not tarnish and can easily be cleaned with soap and water. Because of the stainless steel, I do expect fingerprints to show up over time.

Compared to other Wartenberg-style pinwheels, this one doesn’t feel as cheap. I enjoy the medial style and pinwheel shape. Others have spikes that are much closer together, and I haven’t enjoyed them as much. The weight and stainless steel makes this one a top favorite for me.

The Bondage Boutique Pinwheel exceeded all of my expectations. I will be picking this up again and again. Since the pain never got too extreme, I see this as something I can use often without fear of going over my pain threshold. This will be a great addition to mix in with some other pain play toys at the same time for a variety of different sensations.
