  • Want some very cheap chained nipple clamps
  • Don't mind delayed gratification with nipple play
  • Have a high pain tolerance

  • Have sensitive nipples
  • Want instant gratification with your sex toys
  • Want introductory nipple play
  • Are slowly building up to pain play
  • Have large or very separated breasts

Quite simple in design, the Sex and Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps feature two small clamps (each approximately an inch long) connected by a thin metallic chain. The clamps are each controlled by two adjustable screws that can be turned to compress or expand the clamps to the user's particular comfort level or nipple size. Rubber handles give the clamps themselves a comfortable grip, but the execution of the adjustable feature, while great in theory, ultimately lets this toy down, making it extremely difficult to use. In short, have you ever wanted to mildly spice up your sex life, but also wanted to endure several minutes of awkward engineering in order to get there? Then you're in luck; the Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps is here to fulfill that wish.

Shipping and Packaging

Right out of the discreet shipping packaging, I was highly impressed with the Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps. Sleek and sexy with a grey and black design, the box has a picture frame window that displays the product immediately, highlighting it in a simple and elegant way. I appreciated the honesty of this packaging. You know at very first glance what it is, what you’re getting into, and what to expect from the product. As a woman living with a partner, this was a fun surprise at mail time, and I relished getting to show it off to my surprised and excited companion – but if you live in a house with children or anyone else you may not want spotting your kinky fun, make sure to open this in the privacy of your own room!

Out of the Box

As soon as I opened the box, I was dismayed to find that there were no instructions. Normally, with nipple clamps, this wouldn’t have been such an issue. Nipple clamps, well, clamp on the nipples. However, as The Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps have tiny screws that one can use to adjust the sizing, some insight or instructions on how to use them would have been greatly appreciated. The chained clamps were extremely lightweight and small, and seemed to be of good quality. I was excited to try them out!

First Use

Okay, now, you have to promise not to laugh! But I have fairly sensitive nipples, so the first thing I do when trialling in any kind of nipple toy is to do what I call “The Nose Test.” It’s exactly how it sounds. Instead of trying a toy out on my poor nipples, I try the product first on the very tip of my nose to make sure the toy is not going to be too painful to handle in a sexual context. What became instantly apparent to me, when trying to do the nose test, was that the Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps were extremely difficult to use. Though I appreciated the ability to change the sizing, the fact that it took me a full seven minutes (I timed it!) to get even the first clamp properly fitted presented a problem.

Prep for Solo Play

After The Nose Test, I decided to try the toy by myself before introducing it into sex with a partner. Due to a bit of shyness during partnered sex, I find it can ease my anxiety to know exactly how a toy works, fits, and feels on my own first. When trying out The Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps for the first time, I warmed up with some light erotic reading, then transitioned into putting on my clamps once my nipples were hard. However, due to the aforementioned difficulty with the tiny screws used to control the clamps tightness, there was an awkward lag time between getting in the mood for a solo session and actually having my nipples properly outfitted for it. This was a major mood killer, and left me feeling very frustrated. Determined to give the product a fair test, though, I soldiered on and attempted a solo session with the clamps in place.

Use During Solo Play

I understand that pain is the point of nipple clamps, and I love a little pain with my pleasure! However, the rubber-coated teeth of these nipple clamps are absolutely unforgiving. If the clamps are tight enough to even stay on your nipples, at the widest setting you can put it on without them falling off, the metal is biting. Absolutely not for beginners. I also found a problem with floppage. Let me explain. For the small-tittied among us, the short chain on these nipple clamps are probably perfect. However, as a big chested woman with breasts that gravity pulls to the side when laying down, the short chain on these nipple clamps made the experience eye-wateringly painful. So, not only were the rubber-coated clamps themselves painful, but the short chain was not suitable for someone with my level of breast separation, causing the entire Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps to yank uncomfortably.

Use During Partnered Sex

After my trials with solo use, I decided to introduce the clamps into sex with my partner. Playing on the kinky theme of the toy, we engaged in a little light BDSM play… which was instantly ruined when we couldn’t get the clamps to work quickly enough. I firmly believe that sex should be fun and laughter should always be allowed, but when we fell into fits of giggles over the difficulty of getting the Sex Mischief Nipple Clamps to work… it did ruin our BDSM fun. All tension and excitement of control loss was gone from the session, and though we did eventually use the clamps, we found that they were painful during missionary sex. The rubber clamps and chain awkwardly rubbed against my partner’s chest, and the aggressive sex chafed my nipples, causing pain that was more distressing than sexy. When we tried again during another session, I found that using the Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps while being penetrated from behind was far more comfortable. This mitigated the “floppage” problems I had while using the product while on my back, and didn’t chafe my nipples as there wasn’t much contact to awkwardly tug at the clamps.

The design of this toy is lovely. While there isn't much to innovate in the world of nipple clamps, the silver and black design gives the Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps an approachably dangerous aesthetic. The design definitely works for me on an initial viewing, but use is another matter entirely. However, the design for usage has several flaws. The chain of the Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps, while attractive, is too short for comfortable pain play. The clamps themselves are similarly too painful for most users. Pain is the name of the game when it comes to nipple clamps, of course, but there is a point when the pain stops being sexy and becomes unbearable. The design of The Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps, unfortunately, veers into the latter territory.

Designed to be used to introduce some pain and to stimulate the nipples, these clamps are designed for solo, coupled, or group sessions - and considering how difficult it is to work these clamps, more hands and minds might be preferable to get them properly fitted. Like assembling a piece of Ikea furniture, it's going to be a long and slightly annoying process. And like Ikea furniture, famous for vague instructions, the Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps have no instructions to speak of. Good luck! I've discussed the ease of use in several other sections, but it bears repeating: the metal screws that control the sizing and tension of the clamp are extremely difficult to manage. The screws are tiny, the holes into which they slot are very difficult to thread the screw through, and I often was left thinking I and my partner needed a jeweler's magnifying glass to properly see and use this toy. While delay and precision can be thrilling in a sexual context, particularly a kinky one in which you're giving power over to a partner, the time it takes to get these clamps working was consistently a vibe killer. For those with sensory issues, poor eyesight or limited vision, and anyone with difficulty using their hands, this is not going to be the toy for you. The experience of the Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps is simply too intense and the set-up is simply too complicated.

While the packaging of The Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps looks good, the construction did feel cheap. This is to be expected at its price point. However, the Sex Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps themselves do seem to be built well. The rubber on the handles is perfectly fit, the metal used on the chains and clamps is attractive, and it seems fairly sturdy. However, be careful with the tiny screws used to keep the clamps in place! If you lose them, you are never going to find them again, and then the toy will be absolutely useless to you. Given its size, the chain is extremely quiet and does not needlessly jingle. And once tightened properly, the clamps are extremely firm and do not budge.

Ranging from $12.95 to $19.95 at various retailers, the Sex & Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps are on the lower end of the price spectrum. However, at either price point, I'm not entirely sure I recommend them. For that price, you only get the chained nipple clamps, nothing more, not even instructions. With their significant drawbacks in usability, The Sex & Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps simply don't seem a good value at nearly any price. I would advise you to save your money and invest in nipple clamps that are easier to use.

While this product lived up to its main goal, clamping my nipples, it often succeeded too well in that department to hit that perfect sweet spot of pleasure and pain. Rather than having the two mixed together, I was often left nearly in tears by the experience of wearing The Sex & Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps. On top of being difficult to use, this left me consistently disappointed with my experience.

The packaging is attractive. Though I was initially confused at the company's title (Some websites list this as the Sex & Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps, but the box does not have the ampersand "&" in the labeling), the color scheme is sleek and immediately gives off sexy vibes. The picturebox window prominently displays the product, though, which makes it non-discrete. I do appreciate being able to see the entire product as soon as I open the shipping package, but again, it lacks discretion. There are no instructions in the box, despite the complicated set-up of the toy.

With a very lightweight thirteen inch chain of nickel-free metal in a silver color, this is a skin-safe product that should be suitable for all skin types. Care for this toy is easy; as you would with any nickel-free jewelry, the Sex & Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps can be cleaned with soap and warm water, patted dry, and stored in a cool, dry place for future use. With the rubber tips on the thumb clamps, however, it should not be used in the shower, as water and shower products may cause the clamps to lose their grip and become unusable during water play. Additionally, It does not come with a storage bag or box, so make sure you have a safe and secure place to store it!

Sex & Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps -

  • Lovely packaging
  • Rubber handles for easy grip
  • Aesthetically-pleasing design

  • Poor clamp control design
  • Short chain
  • Abnormally painful metal clamps

In short, the Sex & Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps are such a great idea! I love the ability to change the size and tension of the nipple clamps themselves. However, with significant ease of use issues and a chain that is too short for people with larger or more spaced apart breasts, they fall short in significant areas and contribute to awkward sexual experiences. If you have small breasts and don't mind the time it will take to get the clamps working properly, then this may be the toy for you! It has an attractive design and does, indeed, clamp nipples! But for other users, especially those with highly sensitive nipples or mobility issues of the hands, this is a product I'm afraid I cannot recommend.

There is, unfortunately, no user manual available online for the Sex & Mischief Chained Nipple Clamps, but check out my above “How To” Guide for more information!
