  • Want a travel-friendly tickler

The Pleasure Feather from Sportsheets is a mini feather tickler made from rooster feathers. It has a small plastic handle and a wrist loop, which can also be used to hang it up.

Underwhelmed from the Outset

I have to say I was a little bit disappointed when I received the Sportsheets Pleasure Feather. The feathers didn’t look nearly as full as the pictures online and one of the feathers seemed to have holes in it, making it look a bit raggedy.

It Did Not Tickle My Pickle

That being said, this feather tickler felt ok my skin. It was soft and lightly tickly. I love a soft, sensual tickle. For me, it really sets my senses into high alert and makes for some really great, sensual foreplay. It’s also fun to use with more intense impact toys like a spanking paddle or flogger. Unfortunately, the feathers all seem to splay out, making it hard to get good contact with all the feathers. Overall, it just wasn’t that appealing and I didn’t find myself inspired to explore it further. The lack of handle made it a bit awkward to use. Because the tickler has to be much closer to receiver’s body, it was much better suited to smaller strokes than long sensual ones.

The design just didn't do it for me. I think a few more feathers would have made the world of difference here. As it was, it felt a bit limp and underwhelming. Some of the feathers looked a bit ragged and less luscious than in the pictures online. A bit like an old chicken that had seen better days! I had the black version but it also comes in red/black or rose designs as well if you prefer a pop of color.

The Pleasure Feather is pretty easy to use. On the one hand, the loop handle design makes it easy to keep hold of during use and it's great for getting really close and exploring each others bodies while also enjoying a lot of body contact. On the other hand, the lack of a long handle makes it difficult to explore long, sweeping strokes. When I want sensation play tools like feathers or crops for power play, I actually a longer handle as I think that bit of distance between you and your partner gives you both a better view and helps build then tension.

The Pleasure Feather definitely feels a little cheap to me, but that is because it is. At well under $10, I think the quality matches the price. If you are looking for a high-quality feather tickler that feels luxurious and sensual, this isn't it. However, if you just want a cheap tickler to use now and again or to throw in your bag for travelling with I think it's fine!

The Pleasure Feather is really cheap so it's a great way to try out the feel of a feather tickler without investing too much or to add a new sensation to your toolkit without spending a lot.

Unfortunately, the Pleasure Feather did not live up to my expectations of some sensual tickling. If anything it just left me determined to find a better option!

There was no packaging with the Sportsheets Feather Tickler, which is a little unusual for a sex toy and might explain why the feathers weren't looking their freshest. The only thing that came with the tickler was a small card label attached to the wrist loop with the Sportsheets logo and

The Sportsheets Pleasure Feather is made of rooster feather and nylon. There's not really any way of cleaning it, so I recommend keeping it away from lube and bodily fluids as much as possible. If you have a spot for it, you can hang it up using the wrist loop to prevent the feathers getting crushed in a drawer.

  • Very cheap
  • Feels ok
  • Has a wrist strap

  • Looks underwhelming
  • Small handle is awkward to use
  • Feathers are sparse/splayed out

Does it tickle? Yes! Does it feel sexy and alluring, not quite. I found myself a bit underwhelmed by the look of the Sportsheets Pleasure Feather. It just felt a little lackluster — the feathers were a bit sparse and one of them was a little holey. That being said, price is very low, with it being available from around $7-10 in different shops. I would say if you just want a very basic tickler for occasional use or maybe a sexy weekend away, it's not bad. However if you are looking for something that looks and feels more sensual to use, I would spend a little more for a more traditional feather tickler with a longer handle and nicer design.
