5 Best Bondage Kits

The sensation play kit stood out as the overall best bondage kit for it’s versatility and quality. I love that you get a range of sensation play tools, restraints and sex toys in one package. It’s like a glorious pick and mix of pleasure! Vicki tested it out for us and was also impressed “this kit delivers endless fun and versatility” that allowed her and her partner to enjoy “a symphony of different sensations.” She liked that “You don’t have to use all the toys at once—though you definitely can if the mood calls for it,” and found that they worked really well together. Although the restraints aren’t the most secure and won’t stand up to more intense play, they “have a soft, silky feeling that’s super comfortable on the skin.” Vicki “especially enjoyed exploring candle play,” writing  The warm wax added a whole new layer to our experience, introducing a mix of sensations that ranged from a slight sting to a quick burst of pleasurable heat. While the restraints and butt plug are both beginner-friendly, I would say the candle is a little more advanced. I does mean you have a kit that can grow with you though!

This kit was tested by Jason and his partner who describe themselves as a ““vanilla” couple” who are “complete noobs when it comes to BDSM.” They loved it, “It was definitely an experiment but one we both enjoyed.” This is exactly why it scored the best for beginners spot in this review! I think it makes for a fun, sensual, and non-intimidating entry to the world of BDSM. They both thought the Bind Date Bondage kit was “a great way to introduce you and your partner to the world of BDSM.” The kit also does a nice job of showing that “BDSM doesn’t necessarily mean pain.” It also delivers “a lot of BANG for the buck,” while still being good quality, and Jason thought that “all the items felt premium.”  He did mention that he felt the Kama Sutra cards and sex dice were the “odd balls” but I can see this being great prompts for when you need some fresh ideas!

Our tester, Mo, describes this bondage kit from Sportsheets as “a fun introduction to light bondage” and I couldn’t agree more! It’s a pretty basic set but it’s a great way to try out bondage at a low price point. He liked that this kit can “add a little bit of spice to the bedroom without pushing the limits of comfort.” As well as being a great cheaper option, I would also recommend this to beginners looking to try out bondage before dropping cash on something more expensive. Mo particularly like that the blindfold. For him, the “inability to anticipate where [his wife] was going next made each touch sizzle.” Combined with the restriction of the restraints, this simple set has the potential to create some pretty exciting scenarios. The cuffs “are functional, comfortable, and close with simple hook-and-loop,” which is less intimidating than a buckle fastening and very quick and easy to use. I think Mo sums up the quality of this kit really well: “I wouldn’t expect this kit to be around for years but that’s not to say it’s cheaply made.” While it’s not the most robust or versatile kit out there, it works well and has a very reasonable price!  

Many bondage kits are aimed at BDSM newbies, but I wanted to include a kit geared to those with a little more experience who want a more intense bondage experience! Enter the Lovehoney All You Need and More Bondage Kit! Our reviewer, Jesse, is more experienced with bondage and “was pleasantly surprised overall with this collection of bondage toys .” He like that the faux leather restraints are “soft and sexy in both feel and appearance.” The buckle fastening also makes them more secure than velcro. Unfortunately, the chains that came attached to them were a little weak and “the linking clip mechanisms were very poor functioning.”  He was “very impressed” by the bullet vibrator, writing that it has a “fantastic amount of settings and vibrations.” I also think it’s great that it can be used inside the silicone dildo or cock ring for some added vibrations. Overall, I think the versatility and slightly higher quality of this kit makes ideal for stepping things up from beginner bondage kit!

I tested this kit out for Bedbible a couple of years ago, and it’s still one of my most used bondage items in my rather large collection. It’s so convenient to use! I leave the under mattress strap in place so we can just attach the cuffs whenever we are in the mood for some bondage! Usually I prefer the security of buckles on restraints as they create a more intense power dynamic. However, I love that these are velcro fastening. It’s so quick and easy to be tied up and once I’m all strapped in, I completely forget that it’s only velcro keeping me there! The restraints are also very comfortable so we can enjoy long sessions without them digging in or needing to be adjusted. I like that they can also be clipped to each other or to other restraint points for a bit more mileage from the kit! I highly recommend this bondage kit to bondage newbies and those with more experience!
