5 Best Remote Control Butt Plugs

Flora reviewed the Hush 2 for us and was blown away by it’s performance! Having tried the original Hush myself, I can really see why. Lovense really levelled up what a butt plug can be, taking it from a nice warm up act to the star of the show. If I was looking for a really top quality remote control plug or one for long-distance play, this would be it! The Hush has a “powerful motor emits rumbly vibrations for a whopping 4 hours,” and the app controls provide endless fun ways to control the toy for both short and long-distance play. Flora loved how the “internal rumbles synchronized with each note” when using the sound activated mode. According to Flora “The Lovense App is what makes this toy an interactive masterpiece.” And I have to agree. The Lovense app is still the best I’ve used to date. The connectivity is the most reliable and it has the widest range of features, including group play, Dom/sub controls, and much more! I will say, even though this is the small size, it’s pretty large and rigid so I would advise really considering the measurements before committing. It does also come in extra small, medium and large, so there’s plenty to choose from. Jesse reviewed the Hush 2 large for us and was as equally impressed as Flora!

This was my first introduction into anal toys, and I have to say it was such a FUN way to get started! 

Caleb reviewed the Svakom Jordan for Bedbible and found it was the perfect introduction to anal play! It also hit all my key features in a beginner’s toy — it’s slim and “was so easy to insert and and use.” I also really appreciate that it comes with a physical remote as well as app controls, as I know apps can be overwhelming when you are just getting started. Caleb enjoyed the vibrations but did wish there “was more of a deeper rumble.” However he did find that the “thrusting piston was powerful,” and he “didn’t notice any slowing or struggle with the motor.” I also like that you can control each function separately to find the combination that really hits the right spot.

The VeDO bump things simple but effective! Most remote control butt plugs are over the $100 dollar mark but this one is safely under, making it my budget-friendly pick! While it doesn’t have the same high tech app-capabilities as the other plugs I’ve included so far, out reviewer Paden was impressed by the power it was packing, writing that it “is incredibly strong” and gave him a “a powerful climax.” He also loved the shape and how well it stayed put during penetrative sex. He really appreciated that he “did not have to worry about this thing slipping out.”  Overall the quality of the plug is great for the price. The “silicone is a sleek and soft cover on the toy” and it has a sturdy construction. Unfortunately, the remote control does need to be very close to the toy for it to work, so it doesn’t work well for public play.

Another product from Lovense has taken the top spot for best remote controlled prostate plug. They really do make some of the best app-controlled toys on the market. Our tester Tim was really impressed with the Lovense Edge 2, writing “This has shot straight into my mine and my partner’s top 3 toys to play with.” He was pleased with the vibration strength of both motors, noting that the “dual vibrations on max will put the “O” on your face.” However, the app and all of it’s features is “what makes this product out of this world.” He particularly enjoyed the long-distance functionality and how “It felt super hot having someone else at the helm!”.  The overall design of the plug was also a big hit, from the flexibility that “allowed it to hit just the right spot” to the beaded design that helps it stay in place! The only real downside is that it’s a little too loud for discrete public play, unless you are somewhere with a decent amount of background noise.

Investing in one remote control butt plug is great if you already know what size you like and you want to stick with that size. However, if you are just getting started it can be better to buy a set with different sizes. This set from Lovehoney is great value for money and received a glowing review from our tester Dani, who wrote “I love these beginner anal trainer plugs.” He found that the medium plug was the best for long term use, while the large plug is a step that “will really make you feel full down there.” He really liked that the sleek silicone and tapered tip meant that the “plugs are very easy to slide into place.” I also really like that they have a simple T-bar base as I find this to be the most comfortable for longer wear. While the plugs don’t come with any app-capabilities, the “tiny remote is discreet and can be hidden very easily in a pocket.” This means they could still be used for some close-range public play. Keep in mind that the shorter battery life does limit how long you can enjoy the vibrations on one charge. The vibrations did “land on the weaker side” compared to some of the other plugs we’ve seen, so I would recommend these for more subtle, teasing stimulation than going for gold power!
