The Zalo Doll Designer Rose Ball Gag is a lovely little take on a BDSM staple. It features a stunning black leather strap, and a simple silicone ball with a hole in the middle for the absolutely adorable little rose insert, or whatever else you can think up. It's a beautiful addition to anyone's collection, and an absolute joy to look at!
When I went to check my mail, I wasn’t expecting to receive flowers that day, but I was absolutely delighted to find I had received the Zalo Doll Designer Rose Ball Gag! (I’ve always been a single rose girlie myself). The sleek black box is accented in gold, and features a window displaying a beautiful rose, showing you what you’re getting, while still being pretty and classy. As far as first impressions go, I was very impressed! Inside the box, nestled in it’s own space is the ball gag itself on top of it’s storage bag. Being something that goes in your mouth, I personally think the storage bag is a big +1. Even with washing it every time, the idea of a loose ball gag just running around in a drawer gives me the ‘ick’.
What’s in a Name?
The wow factor with this accessory is most certainly the removable rose plug. Without it, the ball gag has a window into the mouth for fingers, tongues… you get the idea. With it, you (or your partner) have been transformed into the most adorable little flower vase. If forniphilia is your thing, this could be a very fun way to play with that!Good for Thee, But Not for Me…
On all levels except actually wearing it, this ball gag ticks all the boxes for me. It’s classy, it’s beautiful, it’s made from quality materials. On the surface, I know that sounds perfect. However, the biggest issue I experienced is my skin. I have very sensitive skin on my face, so any pulling or pinching is painful and can easily cause damage. That being said, the way this gag is constructed, the ball is attached on either side side with stretchy silicone straps linking to the leather about mid-cheek. Any pulling on the gag, makes the silicone stretch and pull my skin. I can absolutely see why this gag is rated highly all over the internet, heck I’m even rating it well. It just does not work with my skin. (That’s not to say I won’t be using it on others, this *will* remain in my collection).
Aesthetically, this ball gag is absolutely beautiful. The materials are quality, the rose is gorgeous. However, the way the ball is attached to the strap, for me, just doesn't do it. The silicone pulls, and it's very uncomfortable. I would recommend measuring your face to make sure the gag will fit comfortably.
The Zalo Rose Ball Gag is easy and straightforward to use. Take it out of the box, fit it to the appropriate size holes, decide if you want the rose in (it just pops in), and you're good to go!
Overall I will give it a great quality rating. The leather is soft, the silicone is squishy enough to feel comfortable in the mouth, and the hardware is shiny and just *feels* nice. You are also able to completely take the gag apart to clean, which is very important.
Coming in at $65, the Zalo Rose Ball Gag isn't necessarily the least expensive gag on the market. But I do feel like this is one of those instances where you get what you pay for in terms of quality. It's a far cry above the cheap plastic-y or stiff ones at Spencer's gifts, but it's probably not the most expensive one you could find either.
For me, the ball gag fell flat in terms of comfort and my anatomy. I did read some other reviews where fit was a concern. So I definitely feel like this toy is one where it either works really well for you, or it does. But you WANT to like it either way.
The packaging for the Zalo Rose Ball Gag is really beautiful for a sex toy/accessory. It's sleek black design, gold text and window to see the Rose itself give you a fun naughty feeling without feeling too much like "50 Shades of Grey".
The Zalo Rose Ball Gag is made from luxury Italian leather, Dow-Corning silicone, and zinc alloy. It's waterproof, and able to be taken apart for easy cleaning. The silicone has no smell or taste and it comes comes with a lovely storage bag! As far as ball gags go, this is one of the best ones I've had experience with in terms of quality. To clean you can use your favorite toy cleaner, or antimicrobial soap and warm water!

The special part of this gag is definitely the removable rose piece. At first it may seem a bit silly, but having the opening in the ball itself leaves for all sorts of fun and sensual options with your partner.

Over all, the Zalo Rose Ball Gag is a beautifully made ball gag that I WANT to like, but for me it just doesn't feel comfortable. Somehow it's too tight, too loose, and pinch-y on the cheeks all at the same time. But for someone with a less full face shape, I can see it being an excellent gag for a fun and steamy session.
