The 6 Best Anal Training Kits

I can say with full confidence that the b-Vibe Anal Training Kit is the absolute best there is when it comes to starting your anal training journey. I picked this as the overall winner as not only does it have top quality toys, but it comes with a wealth of information to help you on your anal journey — information I wish I’d had when I was an anal newbie! Even though our tester, wasn’t new to anal play, he still loved this kit and even learned some new tips from the anal play guidebook, commenting “even experienced users stand to gain from having something so accessible.” He really liked that the three different anal training plugs had been “carefully selected to give you a range of experience.” While he enjoyed all three plugs, the medium vibrating plug was the star of the show with it’s vibrating settings that exceeded his expecations! He wasn’t that keen on the lube applicator as he felt it wasn’t that necessary, but he did like all the other small touches, from the travel storage bag, to the presentation box, and the anal is magic sticker! From an expert standpoint, I really love that this box feels like it takes your hand and gently opens up the world of anal play in a completely non-threatening way!

I picked the Bumper Booty Bundle as the best option for beginners as it gives you the chance to try a lot of different style toys and see what you most enjoy! And, while there is some variation in size, all of the toys are beginner-friendly! Peter tested it out for us and described it as “a wonderful little kit thats just perfect for solo and partner play time.” He also thought this was a great introduction to anal and would “recommend this kit to anyone who wishes to try anal play.” He was happy that the kit came with “a nice selection of attachments” with a “super silky texture.” The larger of the two butt plugs also has a space for the included bullet vibrator, so you can add in some new sensations as well! Peter did find that the bullet “was not as powerful as [he] would like” when inside the other toys and functioned better as a stand-alone toy. While I think this is quite a basic set, I like that everything is made of quality silicone. Plus, once you’ve explored the different items, you’ll have a better idea of which style of toy you most enjoy and might want to invest in a better quality or bigger version of.

I had the pleasure of testing out this super cute set, and I have to say that Biird really did a great job here! The overall quality and design are just fantastic, and at under $25, these anal training butt plugs are much more affordable than the more extensive kits! As I’m not anal beginner, I had my glamorous assistant (a.k.a. boyfriend) try out the plug as he is new to anal play. He got on so well with it — it was easy to insert, stayed in place well, and felt great during use. I put the bigger plug to test and was very impressed with it also! I’m not exaggerating when I say this is some of the softest silicone that I’ve ever felt! The surface is buttery smooth, which also makes them super comfortable to insert and remove —with lube ofc! The asymmetrical base is also super handy as it means I can wear the plug during penetrative sex without it getting in the way. I think it’s a really well thought out design! Whether you are new to anal play or like having a couple of different sizes to play with, I can’t recommend this set enough! I would say the only downside as far as anal training goes is that there is only two plugs, so you might find yourself wanting more!

I think this is a great set of anal training plugs that can take you from complete beginner to more intermediate sized plugs comfortably! Our tester, James, who is relatively new to all things anal thought “that the size differences in the butt plugs were a nice progression from small to large.” He started out with the smallest plug and was able to progress comfortable through all three to the largest one. He was impressed by the quality, commenting that the silicone “felt soft to the touch” and had a “solid weight” to it. He also appreciated “the suction cup feature was an added bonus” that means you can enjoy the plugs hands-free. I will also add that the circular suction cup base makes these suitable for using during PIV (penis-in-vagina) sex. My one critique of this set is that there isn’t a huge amount of difference in size between the neck and the plug, especially in the larger plug, which can make it more likely to slip out if you are moving around a lot while wearing it. All in all, while this is more of a no-frills-attached anal training butt plug set, I would set it definitely delivers in terms of function and it’s super affordable!

All of the anal training kits I’ve picked so far have catered to those at the beginning of their anal journey, however, this kit is here to take you on the next leg, into more advanced level anal play! Emmie was our lucky tester for this anal play kit and was surprised by how much she ended up enjoying each of the three items in the kit. Even though the plug was the biggest she has tried so far, the softness made it “far more comfortable to wear for long periods of time,” while the size “kept [her] in the mood all day!”  I think the inflatable plug is a really great tool in an anal training kit because it can expand further as you get more comfortable with the size. This actually ended up being Emmie’s favorite toy in the kit! She loved the sensation of being completely filled, commenting that the “even, full pressure, felt amazing”  and that she’d “never felt something so erotic!”  I would say the anal beads in this kit are the most challenging of all because unlike the other two toys, they don’t have any taper and are also completely rigid. This does, however pose a nice challenge and something to work towards, which is the whole aim of anal training! My only complaint is that while the butt plug and anal beads are made of silicone, the materials for the inflatable plug are not given, suggesting it’s not silicone and therefore porous!

I wanted to include a dilator kit as it offers something a little different than anal training butt plugs in that they are more similar to penetrative anal sex. Unlike butt plugs, that have a thin neck, these dilators don’t allow the anus to shrink back down, making them more similar to a penis. I think this are a great for anyone who is keen to try anal sex with a partner but wants to work up to it gradually. I will say thought that it is important that you keep hold of the finger loop and do not use these as butt plugs when using them anally as the loop base is not rigid enough to be a reliable base. Our tester, Hannah, tested them out for vaginal dilation but many of the plus points also apply to anal use as well! She appreciated “the gradual increases” and found that “the tapered tips make penetration a bit smoother.” She was also very happy with the quality and thought the set was “great value for its price.”
