I chose the Cluster Buster as the Test Winner as it goes above and beyond in terms of how many toys and independent channels it can control and it delivers some seriously good zaps! I did make it all the way to the max power setting but it was actually too a bit too strong to use for more than a short while. This does, however, make it great for some sexy punishment! I do wish it had come with an internal toy, but luckily, my partner had the Flexing Flavio Prostate Massager, and it worked fantastically with that! Overall, it’s a great quality piece of kit that feels very well made! The smart zip up case with places to secure each piece is the icing on the cake! I would highly recommend this power unit if you love electro-sex toys and want to connect multiple or control multiple people at once!

I chose the ElectraStim Flick as the best for beginners option as it comes with everything you need to start exploring electro play, and I like that you get three different attachments to try so you can figure out where you most like to be shocked! It’s also a very straightforward electro-sex kit. Our tester, Vernon, was totally new to electro-stimulation and really “enjoyed that the electrical charge levels start at a very low amount of voltage” making it beginner-friendly. The Neon Wand was my first introduction to electro play, and I think it was the ideal toy to start with! I love that I could use it safely all over the body. It’s super easy to use as there is only one twist control that turns the intensity up and down and that’s it. The glass electrodes just slide in and out as well, making it very easy to switch between them. I was also relieved that the intensity levels were very beginner-friendly. The lower levels are extremely mild and can only be felt as a light tingle, and while the higher levels do give a sharp shock, I found it wasn’t too intense. This does depend on where it was being used though, as it felt a lot more intense in the more sensitive areas like the vulva and nipples. The other thing I really love about the Neon Wand is that it glows purple and has this intense buzzing sound that gives it a super intimidating feel that’s just perfect for power play!

I was lucky enough to try two electro-stimulation dildos from Mystim and was thoroughly impressed by both of them! However, the Sizzling Simon has a few extras that put it above the rest! Although he did note that there are a lot of things that influenced the intensity, including how hard you are and how much lube you use, so it can be tricky to gauge what level you should use. From a practical standpoint, I really like that this kit comes with everything you need to get started without having to buy anything extra! I could see the cage size being an issue for some as it only comes in one size.

The ElectroPebble XPE Pack from E-Stim is a little more advanced in terms of the set up and controls, so I wanted to include for those looking for some high-tech electro play! I was impressed by how much they’ve managed to fit into such a small device! Not only does it have dual channels that can be controlled independently, but they can also interact to create a new third sensation! While this might be a bit complex for beginners, I think it’s great if you like to experiment more! Katie tested it out and really appreciated that this electro sex kit “gives you so many options in one product,” but they also found that “setup took a little bit of time” and it came with a learning curve. Their partner also found that the instructions could have been a little clearer in places.
