3 Best O-Ring Gags

I picked the Fetish Fantasy O-Ring Gag as the Test Winner of this review because it’s a great all-rounder! Now, I may be slightly biased because I had the pleasure of testing this gag myself, but it is hands-down my favorite gag in my collection. It has a sleek and neutral yet sexy design. The straps are fully adjustable and super comfortable, as in they don’t tug on your hair at all! I was personally amazed by the lockable buckle. It’s just such an easy way to offer the option of more intense power play by simply sliding a padlock through the loop. The metal rings by the sides of the gag itself also work beautifully as fastening points if you ever want to add some additional bondage gear to your gag. The silicone straps may not give you that classic BDSM leather look and feel but this baby is super easy to clean and fully waterproof! I like that it can even be sterilized in boiling water. This speaks to the overall quality and longevity of this o-ring gag. I’ve had mine for a few years now and it still seems good as new.

This is another type of open-mouth gag that offers more versatile use than a simple o-ring gag. The large lip-shaped gag gives the wearer a unique look and keeps their moth open for any oral play. While the lip gag is slightly flexible it becomes solid when the plug is inserted. This makes the gag feel more intense and restrictive but also makes the gag non-breathable, so it’s definitely more suited to experienced users. Our tester, Jesse, noted the importance of double-checking the measurements if you’ve interested in inserting your penis into the o-ring. Him and his partner ran into some issues with attempting this while fully erect, thinking the measurements were a good fit: “We had to wait for me to, ahem- ‘calm down’ a little before we could proceed. The downside of this is that the straps can trap and pull hair sometimes so it can be a good idea to keep long hair tied back.

I also had the honor of testing and reviewing the Fetish Fantasy Extreme Spider Gag! This was my first ever spider gag, so I was a bit apprehensive at first because it looks so intimidating. However, I quickly noticed how easy it is to use! The o-ring itself is only 1.5″ in diameter so it’s was a good width for my jaw to handle. The metal was also far more comfortable than I was expecting. Yes, silicone is much gentler on the teeth and gums but, with caution, I think the metal feels pretty nice as well. The spider gag design effectively keeps my lips very wide apart. The look is incredibly intense and BDSM-y, and it feels quite fun to feel so at your partner’s mercy! Although, it took a while for me to figure out where to place my lips so they didn’t get pinched between my teeth and the metal. The main drawbacks I found were that the spikes were a bit sharper than I expected (not really a con if that’s precisely why you’re interested in getting one…). Also, the strap seemed a tad too wide to fit through the buckle at first. Over time, I can imagine this improving though. Overall, I think it’s a good quality spider gag that’s perfect for advanced users looking for an o-ring gag.
